Chapter 153 - Fate connected

Whoosh, whoosh!

The urgent flapping of wings and the roar of the wind came from the distant sky. The Two Metal Dragons from the Dragon clan emerged from their Dragon Nests and flew towards Fortress.

Bang, bang,

With several thuds, Alfred and Alina landed clumsily, a sight never before seen from them, like awkward wyverns.

The two young True Dragons continuously flapped their broad wings to cushion the impact of their landing as they moved forward, their thick True Dragon Claws sliding and scratching shallow white marks on the smooth ground.

"Kalon, it's bad. The True Dragons has been awakened by the Evil Dragon Blood's inherited will from the ancient True Dragon Song. Their fragile self-awareness and humanity nurtured by wisdom may not be able to hold on."

Alfred slid in a dog-eating-shit posture in front of the massive Red Dragon. His yellowish-brown head was still flat on the ground when he eagerly opened his mouth and spoke.

During his time integrating into the territory, Alfred was no longer simply joining the Dragon clan out of admiration, as he had before. He genuinely enjoyed his work, which was very much in line with the Red Copper Dragon's nature.

He also liked the True Dragon of the territory, this unique Dragon clan, which brought Red Copper Dragon something that the Chromatic Dragon would never possess, something named emotion and love by humans.

This was also different from the Blue Dragon, a True Dragon family that lives in groups. The Blue Dragon did so out of instinct and habit of order, but the Kogmora Dragon Clan, to a certain extent, existed in defiance of the Chromatic Dragon's nature.

Perhaps it wasn't obvious enough, and they didn't possess much, but among the Chromatic Dragon, it was extremely prominent.

"Chromatic Dragons and Metal Dragons are not the same. The ancient True Dragon Song has very little influence on Metal Dragon," Alfred added.

In fact, the Metal Dragon's kindness was not self-proclaimed; these good True Dragons truly deserved the word 'good.' Even in ancient times, when the True Dragons ruled all, the Metal Dragon was not as cruel and tyrannical as the Chromatic Dragon, treating all races as food, but merely as slaves.

Perhaps only the Fishmen, who were expelled from the ranks of intelligent races by the Bronze Dragon, by personally singing the ancient True Dragon Song, could awaken the Bronze Dragon's gluttonous desires, causing them to uncontrollably head to the sacrificial grounds.

Compared to Alfred, Alina behaved much more gracefully. She folded her wings and leisurely walked to Kalon, looking up at the squatting Red Dragon.

But the worry and urgency in her words were undeniable: "Kalon, if the True Dragons, whose Evil Dragon will has revived, loses control, the order within the territory will likely be disrupted, and much of our previous efforts will be wasted!"

"Trust is not built overnight, but destruction takes only a brief moment!"

"You should have stopped the True Dragons. You have the ability to, at least, stop two or three True Dragons!"

"And not just sit here comfortably, like a spectator in the stands, watching with cold eyes!"

Alfred looked worriedly at Alina, whose words were becoming increasingly heated. From Alina's words, he could tell that this Female Bronze Dragon was more concerned about her own achievements being destroyed, rather than acting from the True Dragon's perspective.

Clearly, Alina had not yet fully integrated into the Dragon clan. This was very normal. Metal Dragons and Chromatic Dragons inherently had barriers and prejudices between them. Even Alina only joined the Dragon clan because her goals aligned with theirs.

Kalon squatted on the mountain peak. Even so, his massive body was still nearly nine meters tall, like a low, single-story castle, standing unmoving on the wind-swept peak.

In his vertical pupils, red like precious jade, the inherent bestiality seemed to have been stripped away, and the radiance of humanity and a certain divine light filled his eyes.

He slightly lowered his solemn head, whose cheeks were covered with thick, long thorns. The pair of trident-like True Dragon Horns on his head seemed like the scepter of his power, carrying a heavy sense of might, causing Alina, who had questioned him, to involuntarily choke.

"I've already gone," Kalon's deep Dragon Language voice rumbled like distant thunder in the dark clouds before a storm.

"But I will not stop them. This is a choice they must face, and no one can change it."

"As for what you are worried about, do not dwell on it. I am the Dragon clan's master, the King of the Kogmora Dragon Clan. When the time comes, I will act. I will bear all the consequences. This is the promise I made to all True Dragons when the Dragon clan made its covenant!"

Kalon lifted his huge red claw, gently turned it over, and said lightly, "Even if all order within the territory is overturned, with me here, at most, the universe will be remade. What's more, they are just some small mice; they cannot escape the grasp of my Dragon Claws."

"And those commoners, I have already shown them enough favoritism and care, but just as every True Dragon in the Dragon clan needs to accept the test of their destiny's choice, these commoners must also bear the consequences of their actions, whether they intended to or not!"

"I am a ruler, not a nanny!"

Alina, at this moment, deeply felt the Red Dragon's kingly aura. It was not a superficial display of majesty and power; it was a will and determination hidden deep within his heart.

Alina finally, from the depths of her heart, developed respect and admiration for the Red Dragon, rather than the superficial kind that could be suppressed by stronger power or more solemn majesty, like a fleeting cloud that could be dispersed at any moment.

She deeply bowed her head, expressing her submission to the Red Dragon before her, then looked up, asking with a respectful expression like one facing their parents: "If the True Dragons cannot make the right choice..."

Kalon raised his beautiful, ferocious, and majestic head, looking into the distance, and said lightly: "Then, Giant True Dragons who cannot make the correct choice will not stand by my side. They will not be considered like-minded by me."

"But as a member of the family, as part of the Dragon clan as a whole, my acknowledged brothers, they will gradually disappear into the shadows behind me, living as ordinary True Dragons until they die of old age!"

...

"Take her, take her,"

"Fly, descend,"

"Forever offered to you, young maiden!"

The afterglow of the sacrificial song, the True Dragon Song, lingered over the riverbank until it faded.

And the countless villagers by the riverbank were silent, looking at the empty surroundings and the quiet world, showing no reaction, as if this sacrifice was merely a play.

Just as many villagers were exchanging puzzled glances, the bright, clear sky, illuminated by the rising sun, suddenly darkened, as if covered by dark clouds.

The wind rose, making the flags on the riverbank flap fiercely, the flames flicker, clothes flutter, and dust swirl.

"Roar!"

A True Dragon's roar, deep yet penetrating, spread across the land.

The dark clouds in the sky were the True Dragon's spread wings, the white gems were the True Dragon's scales, and the roaring wind was the True Dragon's royal stride, descending from high above.

Boom! White Dragon Camid's hind claws directly overturned the small boat carrying the sacred maiden, then his front claws embraced the upturned wooden boat, and he flew up, landing on the riverbank.

Hundreds of villagers held their breath, watching this scene. Although they had begun to get used to life in the territory and had maintained recognition and trust in the Dragon Lord through various propaganda.

But facing such a massive white beast, physiologically, it undoubtedly caused these ordinary people instinctive fear and panic.

Camid's eyes were filled with desire. He brought his massive head closer to the trembling maiden lying in the wooden boat, exhaling through his nostrils, wantonly sniffing the ritualistic aura covering the maiden and the fragrance of the maiden's flesh itself.

These scents greatly stimulated Camid's appetite. A certain scent from the maiden even aroused the White True Dragon's lust, making him want to abuse the maiden and vent his desires.

And the treasures in the boat also stirred Camid's inherent True Dragon greed. This was a desire rooted in the Evil Dragon Bloodline, burning fiercely beneath the White Dragon's cold skin.

Drip, drip,

Camid's saliva couldn't help but drip onto the maiden's closed eyes, causing the beautiful maiden to instinctively shiver and tremble.

Seeing this, the villagers also became nervous. This seemed completely different from the blessings the two True Dragon priests had spoken of. That White Dragon seemed to want to eat the most beautiful maiden in the village.

This undoubtedly caused the villagers to panic, as all the legends about Evil Dragon emerged. They began to cry, plead, and beg for the Dragon Lord's mercy.

"Great White Dragon, noble Dragon Lord, please spare this poor child. Our village is willing to offer cattle and sheep every year."

"Ah, my poor child!"

"Damn it, you two priests, this isn't what you said!"

The crowd surged, filled with resentment!

"Eat her, abuse her, vent your desires. You are a noble True Dragon, you should enjoy this deserved sacrifice..." The Evil Dragon Blood within the White Dragon roared, inciting Camid's desires and his muddled will.

Camid couldn't help but extend his tongue and lick the girl's smooth cheek. Hmm, it tasted excellent.

But Camid suddenly stopped. A suspicious look appeared on his confused face, and he muttered to the Evil Dragon Blood within him, "No, you want to control me, don't you? Kalon doesn't like this, and I don't like this either."

"Eat her, abuse her, vent your desires..." The Evil Dragon Blood wasn't truly intelligent; it merely intensified the commotion and influence.

"So noisy, you annoying Dragon blood,"Camid shook his head. This muddled White Dragon, though the most foolish of the Dragon clan, was in some ways the True Dragons most able to maintain his true nature and innocent heart, with a purer self-awareness.

"If you keep bothering me, I'll have Kalon deal with you someday. Get out of my head right now!" Camid's will began to resist the clamor of the Evil Dragon Blood.

Even Kalon couldn't strip the influence of the Evil Dragon Blood from these True Dragons, but Camid always held infinite trust and unconditional support for the Red Dragon.

The strands of faith, harvested from the Green Field Forest elves, began to take root in Camid's soul, protecting his self-awareness and gradually blocking the influence of the Evil Dragon Blood.

A small bulge quietly appeared on White True Dragon Camid's slender neck, like another head for the White True Dragon.

"This is good. Kalon was right after all. Let desire see who is the master of the body. It's really quiet now."

Slurp.

Camid retracted his drool. The True Dragon was still greedy, but at least he could no longer be forcibly driven by the Evil Dragon Blood.

"Hmm, Kalon also said, since I'm already here..." Camid shook his head, waddling like a turtle, and walked to the sacrificial lamb. He exhaled a breath of Dragonfire, freezing the lamb into a block of ice, then swallowed it whole.

Camid ignored the villagers, who had strange expressions and looked like they had narrowly escaped disaster. He flicked his tail and flew into the sky, heading towards the Dragon Nest.

Careless Camid didn't have any other thoughts. He was eager to get back to the lively scene Kalon had mentioned.

However, the two priests who had quietly hidden themselves in the crowd and left didn't notice a faint spatial fluctuation behind the large bronze bell that had been brought some time ago and hung on the wooden building in the center of the village—a bell that no one could ring.

A tall figure stepped out from the distorted spatial fluctuation. He had a pair of red horns pointing skyward, his scales were sharp and imposing, and his aura merged with the entire world, making him seem like a mass of air to all living creatures.

This figure quietly followed the two priests who had left and entered the forest path, like an invisible, untouchable shadow.

Rosani, whose physique was gradually developing in Kalon's direction, descended from the sky and landed by the riverbank of Shallow Water Village.

The first thing this enormous Black Dragon did upon landing was not to look at the pure girl who had been sacrificed, but rather at the slaughtered offering, used as sacrificial livestock.

It was a beautiful black mare, with fur like a feathered satin. But now it lay silently in a pool of blood, its bright black fur gradually dimming.

"Damn it, you people are truly annoying . Waking the Evil Dragon Blood was already enough to anger me, and you even slaughtered such a beautiful mare! I'll punish you when I get back; your village won't be allowed to raise horses anymore!"

Rosani exhaled two streams of black mist from his nostrils. Annoyed, he used his four limbs to pick up the dead mare and flew into the sky, leaving behind the bewildered villagers and the two utterly confused priests.

"Is this an Evil Dragon?"

"Yes, I think so!"

Boom!

Klenaya, this restless Female Red Dragon, descended from the sky with fury and hunger in her eyes. The air current from her landing even blew away several villagers.

"Who dares to awaken the Red dragon blood, you self-important fools!" The Great Female Red Dragon Klenaya could no longer suppress her desires. The dragon blood summoned by the ritual had to be satisfied for its influence to subside. This was an unerasable effect for a Female Red Dragon who had embarked on another path.

The surrounding villagers trembled, too terrified by the True Dragon Might to speak. They merely pointed with trembling hands at the two priests who were trying to escape.

Whoosh!

Klenaya spread her wings, lightly leaped, and landed behind the two priests. Then, with a breath of Dragonfire, she burned the two priests to cinders, venting the surging fire of destruction in her heart.

"You idiots, who told you to summon the True Dragon on your own initiative?" The arrogant Red Dragon Klenaya disdained to explain. After venting some of her tyrannical desires, she swallowed the ox offered by the villagers whole before flying back into the sky.

"Seize those two priests for me!" Germott, upon landing, immediately uttered these words. He swallowed the villagers' offerings, then looked at the priests who were being held down by the villagers.

"Any cult that is not approved by the Dragon Territory is a heretical cult. Any sacrificial act not approved and reviewed by the Territory is an evil sacrifice."

Germott held his head high, announcing his judgment to these ignorant villagers, "Ignorance is not a sin, but to ensure you remember today's mistake, your village will be punished: each person must offer one liter of rice as atonement!"

White Dragon Lord's style was always a bit different from other True Dragon.

Antagena was the only True Dragon most deeply affected by her own Evil Dragon Blood among all the True Dragon in the True Dragon. Her desires were completely beyond her self-awareness to resist.

The Green Dragon's remaining clear consciousness watched in despair as she opened her mouth towards the sacred maiden. The cries and screams of countless villagers echoed around her, and her heart immediately sank into a dark, boundless abyss.

If she used this method to satisfy the dragon blood within her, the power of the Evil Dragon Blood would grow stronger and stronger, and she would find it increasingly difficult to resist the influence of the Evil Dragon Blood.

She didn't care about eating humans, and Kalon probably didn't either. The Green Dragon had eaten plenty of elves during the Green Field Forest battlefield.

But those were enemies, and the meaning was completely different.

In her despair, the Green Dragon suddenly saw the Red Dragon's shadow flash in her consciousness. She immediately cried out, "Save me, help me, Kalon, my King, my brother, my master!"

"Very good, Antagena, you have made your choice. Those who help themselves are always helped. At this moment, your destiny and mine are intertwined; we will live side by side." A deep, familiar voice resounded in the Green Dragon's mind.

A seed radiating white light was born in Antagena's heart, quietly enveloping her faint will and dispelling the darkness.

Dos and Blue Dragon Akzi were side by side, suspended among the clouds in the sky, overlooking the sacrificial scene below.

The ritual was summoning the two Blue Dragon to descend, but the two Blue Dragon, who were already accustomed to order, had long since formed chains of order from their faith, blocking the influence of the boiling dragon blood.

"What should we do, Akzi? Should you go down or should I?" Dos asked.

"I'll go down. You're a bit smaller, easier to conceal. After I leave, you can quietly follow those two priests and dig out their lair. How dare they cause trouble in our territory? I'll hang all their heads on the city wall to dry for a thousand years!"

Blue Dragon Akzi replied.
