Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 – Sean Brings Hermione Into Slytherin

By the time Sean arrived at the flying lesson field, most of the students were already gathered outside.

A stern-looking witch with short white hair stood near the rows of broomsticks waiting on the grass.

Sean recognised her immediately.

Madam Hooch.

Completely unconcerned, Sean casually grabbed a broom and stood beside Malfoy.

To be honest, Sean had absolutely no interest in flying.

In his opinion, repeatedly smashing yourself against a wooden stick at high speed was an excellent way to cause permanent damage to certain irreplaceable body parts.

Especially while still growing.

"Alright, students."

Madam Hooch's sharp voice rang across the field.

"I am Rolanda Hooch, your flying instructor. You may call me Madam Hooch."

She pointed toward the broomsticks.

"Stand beside your broom. Extend your right hand over it and say: Up."

The moment her voice fell, the little wizards eagerly began trying.

"Up!"

"Up!"

"Come on!"

Aside from Harry and Malfoy, most broomsticks seemed to possess their own personalities and completely ignored their owners.

Sean lazily raised one hand.

"Up."

The moment he spoke, the broom instantly jumped neatly into his palm.

Several nearby students stared in shock.

Soon afterward, the rest of the class finally managed to grab their brooms as well.

"Good," Madam Hooch nodded. "Now mount your broomsticks."

Her eyes became sharp immediately afterward.

"And nobody is to take off without my permission."

Unfortunately—

The moment she finished speaking, Neville Longbottom suddenly shot upward into the sky uncontrollably.

"Neville!" Hermione screamed immediately.

"Mr Longbottom, come down at once!" Madam Hooch shouted furiously.

Neville looked utterly terrified.

"I-I can't control it!"

The broom rocketed wildly through the air like a runaway missile.

The surrounding students burst into laughter while Neville swung back and forth in panic above the castle grounds.

His face had gone completely pale.

"Neville! Hold on!" Harry shouted from below.

Then disaster struck.

Neville's robes suddenly snagged against one of the castle's stone statues.

For several terrifying seconds, he dangled helplessly in the air like hanging bacon while the fabric slowly tore apart.

Rip—

Neville suddenly dropped.

Students screamed instantly.

But before Neville could smash into the ground—

"Wingardium Leviosa."

A calm voice echoed across the field.

Neville's falling body abruptly slowed before gently floating through the air.

Everyone turned simultaneously.

Sean stood nearby holding his wand casually toward Neville.

Under Sean's control, Neville safely descended onto the grass without injury.

Madam Hooch visibly relaxed.

"Thank you very much, Mr Sebastian."

Then she immediately added:

"Ten points to Slytherin."

Several Slytherins instantly looked smug.

Madam Hooch quickly helped the trembling Neville to his feet.

"I'm taking Mr Longbottom to the Hospital Wing." Her gaze swept sharply across the students. "Nobody is to fly while I'm gone."

Then she hurried away with Neville.

.....

The moment Madam Hooch disappeared, Sean casually tossed his broom aside and found a comfortable patch of grass beneath the sunlight.

Finally.

Warmth.

Honestly, Hogwarts was wonderful in many ways.

But the castle seriously lacked decent sunlight.

"Sean!"

Hermione quickly ran over and sat beside him excitedly.

"You saved Neville!"

Then her expression became thoughtful.

"Why didn't I think of using Wingardium Leviosa…"

Sean simply closed his eyes peacefully while enjoying the sunlight.

Then suddenly—

Hermione's voice became much quieter.

"Sean…"

He lazily opened one eye.

The little know-it-all looked strangely nervous.

"Do you hate me?"

Sean blinked blankly.

"What?"

Hermione lowered her head slightly.

"You've been avoiding me for two days…"

Sean instantly understood.

He glanced briefly into the distance where Malfoy had just stolen Neville's Remembrall and thrown it high into the air. Harry was already preparing to chase after it.

Then Sean calmly explained:

"I wasn't avoiding you. Hart came looking for me both mornings."

Hermione's eyes widened immediately.

"You mean Hart? The Gringotts executive?"

Before Sean could answer further, Hermione suddenly gasped.

"Oh no!"

She pointed toward the sky.

"Sean! Harry and Malfoy are flying!"

The two boys were already racing dangerously across the field at high speed.

Sean glanced upward before chuckling softly.

"Relax, Hermione. They'll be fine."

Then he added lazily:

"Boys occasionally doing stupid things is perfectly normal."

If anyone else had said something like that, Hermione would've immediately argued using school rules and logic until the other person surrendered completely.

But strangely—

When Sean said it, she merely nodded obediently.

Then she quietly sat beside him beneath the sunlight.

After several moments, Hermione spoke again.

"Sean… are you busy after class?"

Sean paused slightly before suddenly smiling.

"I know somewhere interesting."

Hermione immediately looked curious.

"Where?"

Sean mysteriously raised a finger.

"Come with me after class."

Before Hermione could ask further questions, Harry had already returned carrying Neville's Remembrall.

At the same time, Professor McGonagall arrived quickly from the castle entrance.

"Harry Potter," she called immediately. "Come with me."

As always, Professor McGonagall's expression looked terrifyingly strict even when she wasn't angry.

Hermione grabbed Sean's sleeve nervously.

"Will Harry be alright?"

Sean calmly stood up.

"It's a good thing."

Then he stretched lazily.

"Come on. Time for class."

.....

After lessons ended, Hermione nervously followed Sean through the castle corridors.

To her growing panic, Sean eventually led her directly toward the Slytherin dungeons.

Hermione instantly became stiff.

Even now, she still felt instinctively uncomfortable around most Slytherin students.

Especially after the recent conflict between the Houses.

Several nearby Slytherins glanced toward her curiously while passing by, making Hermione unconsciously move closer beside Sean.

"Sean…"

She tugged lightly at his sleeve.

"Where exactly are we going?"

Sean casually patted her head.
