Lukas controlled Emma and made her come down from the stage.
Much to the astonishment of everyone.
He tried to engage and interact with Judy to activate the battle scene but was disappointed with the result.
After smashing his keyboard and yet nothing happened, he stood up and went to the kitchen for a cup of water.
He had been playing since he started the game, and the instant ramen he had was making him thirsty.
That got Emma into a rather tricky situation.
She stood in front of Judy and glanced at her with her now soulless eyes.
Judy stared at her and wanted to lash out but stopped.
Emma had awakened, and even if Emma could only unleash one lightning strike, it would be more than enough to kill her.
"What do you want!" Judy shouted at Emma.
She shuddered when she saw the soulless stare from Emma.
Chills ran down her spine uncontrollably.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and dropped to the ground shaking.
"I'm sorry! I shouldn't have taunted you!" Judy had her hands covering her head in fear.
She had never thought that Emma would really be able to awaken with an SSS Level ability.
Anyone else would have thought that Emma was boasting.
But right now, in front of her, Emma seemed crazy, and it seemed possible that Emma might unleash a lightning strike on her at any moment.
Meanwhile, Emma, who was standing there with her soulless eyes, wanted to scream and run away but couldn't.
All that she could do was wait for the higher being to take control of her and do something.
As to what exactly, she didn't know.
Anything else would be better than staring blankly into space at Judy.
The other students got away from Judy and Emma, not wanting to be collateral damage if Emma went berserk all of a sudden.
She was behaving rather strangely today.
Judy glanced at the VIP podium to seek help.
Her parents were influential businesspeople.
They should be able to get someone to get Emma away.
It worked as her parents had approached Margaret.
And Margaret quickly got her men to try and get Emma away from Judy.
Riley was also amused by the behavior of Emma, but he didn't want to say much.
Emma's future wasn't that bright without help and money to increase her energy level enough for her to be useful.
But it was a chicken and egg problem.
If she wasn't of much use, no one would want to invest their resources and money in her when there were other better options.
He watched as Margaret's men tried to get Emma away.
"Can't you use more of your strength?"
"I am already!"
Margaret's men tried to get Emma out of the way but realized that she wouldn't even budge an inch with all the strength they had.
It was surprising for them.
Even though Emma was an awakened now, without increasing her energy level and her mastery of her SSS Level Lightning, the most she would get from being awakened would only be a tougher body and some increase in her strength.
It wasn't anything that they as C Level awakened couldn't handle.
Just when they were about to give up and use more forceful means, Lukas came back from the kitchen with a cup of water in his hand.
When he saw that the screen was different from when he had left it, he cursed out loud.
"Damn!" Lukas took control of Emma and she moved again.
He saw Margaret's men surrounding Emma and he pressed the enter key, trying to trigger the battle scene, but nothing happened.
The men made way for Emma when she walked towards them.
They were wary of being nuked into a pile of ashes by Emma's lightning strike.
Lukas got bored and decided to explore the area.
He wasn't interested in staying and watching the results of the awakening process of the other NPCs.
If it was anything important, there would be invisible walls blocking him from leaving anyway.
Emma prayed that it would be over soon when she saw herself walking towards the entrance of the stadium.
Normally, someone who had awakened an SSS Level ability would be swamped by staff from the Awakened Academy by now.
But her sudden erratic behavior had made them too shocked to come to their senses.
So, they let her leave instead of chasing after her.
Margaret's men were relieved when they saw her leaving, and they glanced over at the VIP podium.
Everyone there was just as confused by Emma's behavior.
"It must have been too much stress for her; it happens." Riley said, and the others nodded.
Many had broken under the stress of the awakening process, so it wasn't that foreign for Riley, who had seen a lot more than the others.
And it was understandable.
After all, it usually meant a life of luxury and glamour for those who successfully awakened with great ability.
And it would mean a dull and poor life for those who failed.
"Next!" The staff on the awakening stage shouted, putting what had happened behind them.
Judy then stepped up onto the stage.
"One point for the degree of freedom in this game." Lukas remarked when he saw that he was able to get out of the stadium without going through the whole awakening process.
And he couldn't help but marvel at the detailed buildings and streets outside.
Every NPC was doing something unique and realistic.
They went about their daily lives, and none of them repeated their actions.
After they went off screen, they didn't come back.
New NPCs that appeared also had their own clothing and unique looks.
None of them looked alike.
Lukas was impressed with the randomizer algorithm the developers had used to generate random NPCs.
Which was an impressive feat in the gaming world right now.
But he was still annoyed at the fact that there weren't any battles yet.
He was itching for one ever since Emma had gotten the SSS Level ability.
"Where should I go now." Lukas thought for a moment and pressed the 'O' key for options.
The menus appeared and he selected the one for the map.
An aerial map of the city appeared, and there were two dots on it.
One was for the location of where Emma was, and the other for where Emma's home was.
"Maybe I can trigger a new quest if I get back home."
Lukas started to move Emma towards the dot that was on the map.
