In the moment between life and death, Rue experienced a strange sensation, It was as if he was being pulled away from the scene of the accident, leaving the world he knew behind.
As Rue's consciousness snapped into focus, he tried to move, only to find that his body was restrained by metal chains
. His wrists and ankles were secured to a cold, hard surface. Panic gripped him as he realized that he was trapped, his movements limited and his freedom taken away.
Gradually, Rue's awareness returned, and he found himself with his eyes open, staring up at an unfamiliar ceiling.
As his gaze darted around the dark and dingy space, he took in the strange sight of various ...weird human ?...or animal ?...wait ..mixed ? he saw that in his game before .the fighting game he used to play a long time ago
As his eyes adjusted to the surroundings, he noticed several strange, hybrid creatures in the room with him. There were those with wolf-like ears, others with snake-like features, and even a few with pointed elf-like ears
Was he hallucinating? Had the accident caused some sort of brain injury, leading to this bizarre dream-like state?... But as the creatures moved and shifted, their presence felt all too real.
As Rue took in the sight of the other creatures, he saw that they were all in similar circumstances. They were all tied up with metal chains, their bodies restrained and their movements limited.
His eyes darted from one creature to the next, taking in their different features and forms. Some were clearly more animalistic in nature, with tails and fur, while others had a more humanoid appearance but with distinct features from different species.
As Rue observed the space around him, he noticed that the floor was stained with streaks of dried blood.
The sight of the blood sent a shiver down his spine, the reality of his situation becoming all the more apparent. Whatever this place was, it was clear that violence and injury were commonplace here.
As Rue's foot inadvertently connected with the bowl of water, knocking it over and spilling its contents onto the ground, he saw a glimpse of his reflection in the small river that formed.
As Rue gazed at his reflection in the water, his attention was caught by two unusual features on his face.
There, perched on his forehead, were a pair of long, curved horns, like those of a beast. They stood out against his disheveled hair and pale complexion, adding an almost feral touch to his appearance.
His eyes, too, had undergone a subtle transformation. They were no longer the dark brown orbs he was used to, but rather a mesmerizing grey, almost glowing in the dim light.
As Rue's panicked thoughts swirled in his mind, he was interrupted by the sharp voice of one of the creatures nearby.
"Keep it down, will ya? You're gonna attract attention!"
The voice was gruff and had a hint of irritation.Looking over, Rue saw that the voice belonged to a creature that looked like a human-wolf hybrid, with pointed ears and sharp canines. He was chained up as well, glaring at Rue with annoyance in his golden eyes.
The werewolf-like creature continued, his voice laced with irritation
"You're not the only one here, you know. We're all stuck in this hellhole together. So quit your whimpering."
Rue's panic was still coursing through him, but he managed to gather his thoughts enough to respond.
"S-sorry... I just... I don't know where I am, or what's going on"
he said, his voice tinged with fear and confusion.
Another, quieter voice chimed in from somewhere nearby. It belonged to a hybrid female who had sharp, elven-like features and pointed ears.
"Don't be too hard on him," the female said. "We've all been in his place at one point or another."
The wolf-hybrid huffed
"Yeah, yeah, I know. But he's being a little dramatic."
As the other hybrids continued their conversation, a large, green woman with pointed teeth and a slight hunchback spoke up. She was clearly of goblin descent.
"You don't remember, huh? We're in the godsdamn fight field, where humans come to watch us fight and bet on us,"
the goblin-woman spat out.
"As if we're just entertainment for them."
The goblin-woman's face contorted with anger as she let out a string of curses.
"Damn humans! Always treating us like we're just animals. Like we're just here for their amusement," she seethed. "I'd tear them all apart if I got the chance."
Rue continued to take in his surroundings, his eyes were drawn to some of the other creatures nearby. He noticed that some of them were lying motionless, their bodies stained with blood.
The sight was gruesome and disturbing, a stark reminder of the violence that must take place in this strange and unfamiliar place.
Rue's throat tightened as he felt a wave of nausea wash over him.
He tried to tear his gaze away from the tragic sight, but the image remained burned into his mind.
As the realization of his helplessness hit him, Rue fidgeted nervously with his bound wrists.
He knew he wasn't a fighter, and the thought of being thrown into a battle ring against other creatures filled him with dread.
"I-I don't know how to fight," he stuttered, his voice trembling with fear.
The wolf-hybrid snorted.
"Well, that's just peachy. We've got a newbie who can't handle himself in a fight. Just what we need."
their conversation was interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps, everyone in the room went silent.
The metal door to the room creaked open, casting a beam of light across the dimly lit space. A figure appeared in the doorway, silhouetted by the light behind them. Rue's heart raced as he tried to make out the newcomer's features.
It appeared to be a human man, tall and muscular, with a stern expression on his face. scanned the room, his gaze resting on each creature in turn.
"So, I see we have some new...merchandise"
the man said, his voice dripping with a chilling nonchalance. He approached the cages, stopping in front of Rue's.
"And what do we have here?"
The man leaned in closer to Rue's cage, his gaze roaming over his features with a clinical sort of interest.
"Interesting," he said, his eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of Rue's dark horns and grey eyes. He circled the cage, his footsteps echoing in the room.
"A demon, huh? That's a rare find."
As the man grabbed Rue's horns, his grip painful and unyielding, a jolt of pain shot through Rue. He was powerless to resist as the man pulled him closer, the man's smile growing wider and more sinister.
The other creatures in the room watched in a mixture of fear and resignation. They had seen this scene play out many times before, a new creature being examined like a mere commodity.
As the man spoke, his creepy smile never leaving his face, Rue felt a heavy weight of despair settle upon him
"welcome to RUINEX ....where the fun begins."
The man's laughter echoed through the room like a twisted symphony, bouncing off the cold concrete walls and searing itself into Rue's mind.
It was a cruel, sadistic sound that made the hairs on the back of Rue's neck stand on end. He tried to block it out, but the laughter seemed to follow him wherever he went, haunting his every thought.
The room seemed to spin around him as Rue grappled with the harsh reality of his situation. There was no escape, no escape from this hell...
