Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Speed of These Stone-Claw Demon Crocodiles is Like a Tortoise's

To be honest, with such a powerful sharing of knowledge and experience, it is only right that the Dragon Species stands atop the peak of all races.

One must know that knowledge is power and experience is a weapon.

Even if they didn't possess powerful dragon bodies and freakish talents, this Inheritance Memory alone would justify them looking down on all others with their self-importance; anyone would be dazed by such an advantage.

Jona Velli tried to recall her journey over the past day, and soon, a map based on her surroundings appeared from within her Inheritance Memory.

Jona Velli was currently in the Longxiao Mountain Range, and that river was named the Sam River. On either side of the river were the Buzewu Plain and the Slumbering Forest, and following the Sam River downstream led to the Barosar Swamp.

The memories surfacing before her didn't just contain a map, but also corresponding images.

"How amazing..."

With a sigh of admiration, Jona Velli left the inheritance space and began to rest properly.

Time passed quickly, and three days went by.

Jona Velli wasn't sure why, but she just knew she had been asleep for three days. The sharp pain coming from her abdomen forced her to wake up.

A pair of crystal-blue dragon eyes opened in the pitch-black cave and scanned the surroundings, only to find that the fiery-Red Dragon shadow was already nowhere to be seen.

"Has she already gone out to hunt?"

Shaking her head to clear her mind, Jona Velli stood up.

She moved her claws toward the cave entrance, making a rustling sound.

When the blinding sunlight hit Jona Velli's body, she couldn't help but look into the distance.

To be honest, the scenery here was indeed quite good; stepping out of the cave provided an unobstructed view of the distant landscape.

Directly below the cave was the Sam River. To the left of the river was the Buzewu Plain, and to the right was the Slumbering Forest she had come from.

But after only a few seconds, Jona Velli spread her dragon wings. She had no choice; the sharp pains in her body urged her to eat immediately.

After flying for a few minutes, Jona Velli saw crocodile magical beasts basking in the sun by the river.

As she saw these magical beasts, the introduction from her Inheritance Memory automatically surfaced in her mind.

[Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile, a social type of crocodile magical beast that prefers living in deep rivers. They spend almost the entire day lying on the riverbank basking in the sun.

The claws of the Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile are as if covered by grey-white rock and are extremely aggressive. Combined with the off-white scales on their bodies, only a fool would choose to fight them physically. However, before a great True Dragon, they are merely oversized lizards.

The meat of this magical beast is delicious. Their weakness is their abdomen, and they move slowly; long-range attacks can be used to toy with them easily.

Every time I see them unable to escape when they want to, and unable to fight when they want to, I find it very interesting — Green Dragon Finger.]

After reading the Inheritance Memory, Jona Velli made a decision, her dragon mouth curling up unconsciously.

A group of Stone-Claw Demon Crocodiles lay lazily on the riverbank, enjoying their sunbath.

It should have been a beautiful time, but their beastly instincts suddenly made them alert. Just as they opened their eyes, a fan-shaped Frost Breath had already covered the sky above them.

"Gah—ho!"

One Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile let out a cry in haste, but it was too late. A large fan of Frost Breath poured over them, and frost condensed across their bodies.

Surprisingly, however, they didn't take much damage, only feeling the cold air piercing into their bodies.

Seeing that it wasn't a big deal, these Stone-Claw Demon Crocodiles looked angrily at the white figure diving from the sky and let out a battle cry.

"Ga ga ho ho ho!!"

The crocodiles' cries rose and fell one after another. To Jona Velli, whose senses were already very sharp, it was quite annoying.

But she didn't care. After all, the most critical step was complete. With her dragon breath applying a slow effect, the success rate of this hunt was greatly improved.

She opened her dragon mouth again, and a linear Frost Breath shot out, hitting the head of a Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile on the spot.

The highly penetrative breath ray tore through the solid scales and pierced through its head instantly, killing it on the spot.

These Stone-Claw Demon Crocodiles were all low-tier magical beasts; at most, they could only reach the second ring of silver.

Besides, before launching the attack, Jona Velli had roughly observed them. In this group, the strongest was only at the eighth ring of bronze, which was why she dared to attack so openly.

Jona Velli's movements didn't stop, continuously firing breath rays. Seeing one of their own killed, the crocodiles began to retreat, but with the slow and freezing debuffs, their movements were no different from a tortoise.

For these slow-moving targets, Jona Velli served up a round of Frost Breath.

But she didn't go on a killing spree. Instead, she stopped after killing one more Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile, letting the others escape into the river.

She wasn't afraid of these crocodiles escaping. The entire Sam River was only so big; where could they run?

Jona Velli didn't believe these Stone-Claw Demon Crocodiles could survive away from the water.

The sound of flapping dragon wings came as Jona Velli landed on the ground. Aside from the condensed frost, there were only three dead Stone-Claw Demon Crocodiles.

A single Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile was nearly nine meters long. For the three-meter-long Jona Velli, one was more than enough to fill her belly.

There was a reason she hunted three: one for herself, one to be frozen as a reserve, and the last one to gain favor.

After all, if she did nothing and just relied on being cute, it would be impossible to get a powerful gold-medal enforcer. If there could be a life-and-death crisis where she could play the hero saving the beauty, that would be even better.

Establishing trust between Five-Color Dragons is very, very difficult. The reason Friel didn't sign a contract with Jona Velli and dared to let her live in the same cave was due to the Red Dragon's arrogant nature and absolute confidence in her own strength.

In her eyes, as a White Dragon, Jona Velli was just a subordinate who wasn't very bright—more like a pet Husky.

Thinking of this, Jona Velli couldn't help but let out a silly grin.

But soon, the hunger in her belly urged her to eat.

Following her heart, Jona Velli walked up to a Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile. Before eating, she spread out her perception to prevent other monsters or magical beasts from ambushing her. Having done that, she opened her dragon mouth and began to feast.

The delicious Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile meat was tender and smooth, melting in the mouth without any gristle. It had very little fat, like a Pro Max version of low-fat chicken breast but with the springiness of fish. It wasn't dry at all, and the fibers were so fine that they required almost no effort to chew.

The legs, tail, and abdomen all had slight differences in texture. Overall, it could be summed up in one word — fluffy!

Soon, an entire Stone-Claw Demon Crocodile was swept clean by Jona Velli, leaving only debris on the ground.

As for the magic core? She had already swallowed it like a small snack.
