"No," I chuckled, shaking my head at his sheer disbelief. "You were completely sober. Right before you brought me up the palace steps."
Draven let out a heavy, defeated sigh, shaking his head as the hot water swirled around his broad shoulders. "Fine. But if they chew through the palace tapestries, you will take full responsibility for the pests."
I opened my mouth to reply, but before I could speak, the water sloshed violently. Draven stood straight up out of the tub, the water cascading down his sculpted, scarred chest and thighs. He hadn't even washed himself. He had simply soaked for a mere three minutes.
"Wait! You haven't even washed yet!" I cried out.
He didn't listen. Lazily, completely unbothered by his lack of clothing, he stepped out of the tub and walked right past me into the bedroom.
"Draven!" I shrieked, instantly clapping both hands over my eyes, the heat rushing up my neck until my cheeks burned a furious crimson.
