Season 1 Episode 1
The rain fell heavily over Armed City.
Cold. Unforgiving. Endless.
Narrator:
Welcome… to Armed City.
Real name — Bunguji City.
A place where crime can truly be called its birthplace. Here is where you can find the most powerful crime lords in history. Police and the military forbid people from stepping foot into this country, as it is run by cold killers. The police have lost power to fight against this nation of bastards.
It is ruled by the most powerful person on Earth, known by all as the Great Mafia Boss. He is said to have once been an ordinary thug in the streets of Co' Hugna, but then he trained harder than everyone on the planet and developed such an athletic body that he could dodge gunshots and stop them with his own hands.
He defeated all the big names and became the lord of crime overnight, making everyone and everything aware of his existence.
But where there is good, there must also be balance.
So another man who wanted justice in the world was born — the great Officer Robot.
He is not a real robot, but he is feared as one because of his incredible speed, strength, and intelligence, reaching levels equal to the Mafia Boss.
Officer Robot and the Mafia Boss became enemies at first sight and destroyed a capital city trying to kill each other. They were known as god and devil… executioners.
But one day, during a clash, they fought on a plane and destroyed it, and were lost at sea between the Atlantic Ocean and the Antarctic.
The world froze in shock, seeing how two unbelievable legends vanished in plain sight.
However, they both left behind a fearsome legacy and strong control over the world. Officer Robot left behind his hero system without a leader, along with billions of dollars for no one to inherit. The Mafia Boss left behind an empire, businesses, weapons, an army, and countless treasures with no one to claim them.
So their right-hand men came together at a global conference and stated the following:
"As the greats have left the Earth and left their systems broken, we've decided to elect new leaders for both sides. But they must first reach the level of the Officer Robot and the Great Mafia Boss. After they have acquired that, they'll be given the throne. So let the Shiryo Rankigu begin."
Then people all over the world became determined to be the best—killing and saving, reaching records, and striving for power that once seemed like myths.
So on April 6th, the two organizations decided to build schools to create these prodigies in their countries and stop unnecessary bloodshed.
Now, let our story begin.
The scene starts by showing a man with an umbrella protecting himself from the rain while buying tea. He gives it to a boy who seems to be his son. Then they start walking, and behind them are 15 people in black suits, all with umbrellas.
In front, the son walks ahead of the man.
Then the man says:
JB… my body has reached its limit, and it looks like I won't be in the run of Rankigu… But you still have a lot of energy, son. So by next week, I'll enroll you in Mafia's elite, and you'll show me if I made the right choice or not.
Then JB says:
Yes, father.
They reach a zebra crossing. Before the crossing, on the pavement, there are three people bleeding in the rain.
Then the man holds out a gun to JB and says:
They killed your mother… I could have done it myself, but it would be better if you do it.
With cold, dead eyes, JB takes the gun and shoots the people.
The scene shifts forward 10 years.
We see a view of a 17-year-old JB chasing a man in the streets of Plasto. The man screams for help, but no one even looks at him.
JB throws a knife into his chest. The man wonders how the blade reached him as he falls down.
Narrator:
JB threw the blade from his hand straight into the man's chest. It would be a funny way to tell a child Santa is here… but this is how he did it.
As JB was about to throw the knife, he used his two long fingers on his left hand to control the motion. As he threw, the blade curved mid-air due to his control and struck the man.
JB looks at the man and says:
Where is my phone?
But the man is already dead.
Then a bodyguard comes and says:
Sir, you forgot your phone in the jeep, and you'll be late for your exam.
JB feels annoyed, leaves a lot of dollars in the dead man's pocket, and leaves.
The scene shifts to the election grounds, an enterprise where people, mostly students, come to be elected as heroes or villains so they can enroll in Operation Jungle High, where they are searching for the next Shiryo Rankigu candidates.
The scene shows JB entering, looking at everyone who seems to be at their best.
Then he says to himself:
All these wannabes… I bet they've never even tasted blood before. Just look at that weirdo with glasses… that one… and that one.
Then someone bumps into JB, spilling food on him and messing up his white shirt.
JB looks at the person. He is well dressed, and next to him stands a girl.
The girl says:
Sorry for my brother's foolishness. Okay, bye-bye.
JB says:
I'm going to kill that bastard next time I see him.
After that, the professor comes and says:
Okay, let the election begin. But first, we will put you guys in teams. Look at the board above me. If your name is in the blue team, go to the red door. If you are in the red team, white and green block, do the same. Off you go. You only have 20 minutes to change, so move fast. I'll be your supervisor for the election.
The scene shifts to JB looking at the board.
Okay… there I am.
Now… green… a weak color.
He goes to the green room, which looks like a locker room, where everyone is changing.
He sees the same guy who messed up his shirt earlier.
JB says:
It's you! The weirdo from earlier.
Then JB says:
As soon as the election is over, I'm going to kill you. You get that?
The guy, with no emotion, replies:
Sweet. I like to play too.
JB responds:
No. I'm really going to end you.
Time passes, and the guy walks away, leaving JB behind.
The scene shifts to Mr. One Shoot standing on stage.
Okay kids, this year's selection is a bit different. I'll tell you more about that later. For now, you'll be working in your groups. You'll be playing a friendly game of blow paint, where you shoot different teams with "paint" — sorry, I mean guns loaded with fun bullet paint.
Your team must acquire more points by the end of the game to move on to the Jungle. Only two teams will go. The others will try again next year.
And here's the twist — I'll be playing this year. If you shoot me, your team gets 1000 points instantly. Some guns will be real, and if you kill a person with one, you get 10 points. Paint shots are only worth 5 points.
We are playing inside this building, and everything goes against the enemy.
