Chapter 4 - chapter 5

The impact of Arman's press conference was immediate.

By morning, every news channel was talking about him.

Some called him a hero.

Others called him a traitor.

But inside the political circle, one thing was clear—

Arman had made powerful enemies.

His phone kept ringing, but not with support.

Threats.

Warnings.

"Take back your statement."

"Apologize publicly."

"Or be ready to face the consequences."

Arman ignored them all.

For the first time, fear didn't control him.

But that didn't mean danger wasn't real.

That evening, as he walked alone towards his car, a group of men suddenly surrounded him.

"You should have stayed quiet," one of them said coldly.

Before Arman could react, they attacked.

Punches. Blows. Darkness.

The world spun around him.

But even in that moment, one thought stayed in his mind—

Nishat.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Nishat was finally discharged.

Her body was still weak, but her spirit wasn't.

She stepped outside, taking a deep breath of fresh air… unaware of what had just happened.

Her phone rang.

An unknown number.

She answered.

And within seconds, her face went pale.

At the hospital entrance, Nishat froze.

"Where is he?" she whispered.

Moments later, she rushed to another hospital across the city.

When she saw Arman lying unconscious, bruised and broken—

Something inside her shattered.

Tears rolled down her face as she slowly walked towards him.

"You said you would stand with me…" she whispered, her voice trembling. "You didn't say you would destroy yourself."

She held his hand tightly.

For the first time, Nishat felt helpless.

This fight was no longer just about justice.

It had become personal.

Hours passed.

Finally, Arman's eyes slowly opened.

The first thing he saw—

Nishat.

"You're… still here," he said weakly.

Nishat tried to smile through her tears. "Where else would I go?"

There was silence.

Heavy. Emotional.

"I'm sorry," Arman whispered. "I dragged you into all of this."

Nishat shook her head. "No… I brought you into it."

Their eyes met.

No arguments.

No walls.

Just truth.

"I was wrong about you," Nishat said softly. "You didn't just choose truth… you chose me too."

Arman looked at her, his voice barely steady. "I would choose you again… every time."

Tears slipped from Nishat's eyes.

This time, she didn't hold back.

She leaned forward and hugged him carefully, as if afraid he might break.

Outside the hospital, the city continued as usual.

But inside that quiet room—

Two people, who once stood on opposite sides…

Had finally found each other.

But peace never lasts long.

Because far away, in a dark room, someone watched the news and smiled coldly.

"Now it's time," the voice said.

Because breaking Arman wasn't enough anymore.

Now—

They were coming for Nishat.
