Chapter 14 - Ch.14

Ch.14

When Ron woke up, he had a smile on his face that lasted exactly 7 seconds. Then he realized that he, Ann, Bonnie, Tara, Yori and Monique were just intimate in his mindscape. Freaking out slightly, Ron went out of his room like a man walking to the death chamber. Downstairs, Ron could already hear some of the girls talking and from the sound of things, they were in a great mood. Sighing at what was to come, Ron stepped into the livingroom and said what was on his mind.

"I'm sorry!" Ron yelled, startling Bonnie, Monique, Tara and Yori who had been chatting.

"Ahhh!"

"Wha!"

"Ron-san, what is wrong?" Yori asked.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for things to get out of control like that!" Ron said as an explanation.

With dawning understanding of what had Ron so upset, Monique and Yori share a look. Nodding to each other, Monique and Yori try to calm Ron down.

"Ron/-san." Yori and Monique call out to him. "Ron/-san, you need to breath." They called out to him, but Ron simply repeated 'I'm sorry!'. Seeing no change, Monique beat Yori to the idea by a second, as she closed in on Ron and hugged him.

"Baby Boy, you need to calm down." Monique said into Ron's ear. "I know you think you took advantage of us, but trust me, nothing happened that we didn't want to happen."

Ron finally looked up and from over Monique's shoulder, locked eyes with Yori who nodded.

Seeing as things were finally calming down, Bonnie asked. "What's got you so worked up, Ron?"

Seeing Ron seemed to panic at the question Yori spoke up. "Remember the dream you had last night, involving Ron-san, Monique-san, Tara-san, Mrs Dr Possible, yourself and I?" Bonnie's and Tara's eyes widened. "It was a shared experience thanks to Ron-san's abilities."

"No way!" Bonnie said.

"I can remind you how Ron excited us and proceeded be intimate with us." Monique said causing blushes across the room.

"Monique!" Tara called out having an easier time believing them since she knew Ron had abilities.

Bonnie only calmed down after seeing Tara so accepting and realizing that Monique knew details of the dream. Then she whispered. "Didn't you get knocked out second?"

"Yes!" Monique agreed, adding. "Those were amazing orgasms, Ron here is gifted, right Baby Boy?"

Ron for his part flushed an even deeper shade of red and fled into the kitchen calling out." I'll make breakfast!"

At Ron's retreat, even Bonnie couldn't help but smile, thinking 'he's cute!'.

Just after breakfast, Ron was about to head for his run with Yori, when the phone rang interrupting. Quickly going to answer, Ron greeted Wade after recognizing the number.

"Hey Wade, what's up?" Said Ron.

"Ron, great!" Wade said, adding. "There's been a break in at the National Museum of History, and priceless items have been stolen!"

"Oh, a mission." Ron states. "I should have known!" Sighing, Ron adds. "Where's pick up?"

"At Kim's in five." Wade answered.

"Alright Wade, I'm on my way." Ron said hanging up. Turning to the ladies around him, Ron noticed they heard his side of the conversation at least. "There's a mission." He repeated the details.

After getting the ladies reluctant agreement, Ron gets his mission pack and heads out to Kim's at a light jog. Upon arriving, he sees Kim boarding a helicopter and speeds up to join her. No sooner then Ron strapping in, that the helicopter was in the air. What did surprise Ron was that even after both Kim and he had the communication headset on, Kim didn't start a conversation so they flew in silence.

~~~
In the National Museum of History, Team Possible scouted the scene of the break in looking for any clues as to who could have done this and it was as the museum director mentioned what the exhibit was about that Ron mentioned Monkey Fist.
"Kim you have to listen to me!" Ron said, explaining. "An ancient civilization that worshiped monkeys as though they were rulers is definitely something that has to do with Monkey Fist!"
"And I'd normally agree with you Ron, had the footage not clearly indicated it was Falsetto Jones." Kim countered.
"Then they've teamed up!" Ron concluded.
"Ron, they did not team up." Kim said exasperated. "It was simply for the money, Falsetto Jones simply wanted them for their value."
"Kim, you have to remember that Falsetto Jones likes two things, jewels and dogs." Ron countered.
Kim ignored Ron's argument and pulled out her Kimmunicator calling Wade. "Wade, we need a ride to Falsetto's private island."
"I don't think that's a good idea, Kim." Wade said in response, explaining. "Falsetto is not hosting any events at the moment so any vehicle that approaches will be spotted miles before arrival."
"Then, what do you suggest we do to retrieve the relics?" Kim asked.
"For now there's nothing we can do." Wade said, adding. "Besides, Jones being seen in the museum there's no actual evidence he did it and such things as civilizations involving monkeys is right up Monkey Fist's MO."
"See!" Ron called out.
"Fine!" Kim accepted seeing as even Wade was leaning towards Monkey Fist. "Then, Wade a ride to..."
Kim was interrupted by a message flashing on the screen from Josh. It read: Kim, are we still on for tonight?
"...to Middleton. Wade, I need you to track Monkey Fist's location so we can apprehend him."
"Wait!" Ron said raising his voice. "You mean this whole mission could have been put on hold but my plans were still interrupted and you're still going back in time for your date?"
"The mission could not be put on hold, Ron!" Kim said, adding. "As for going back, we clearly don't know where Monkey Fist is so we have no choice but to head back."
"What about the fact that when you assumed it was Jones we were going to storm his island and search for the relics, which we can still do at Monkey Fist's estate. And it'll be safer to approach!" Ron countered.
Kim had the decency to blush at her double standard being pointed out in the open, but still held firm. "We are going back!" She said with finality.
~~~

When Ron got back home was to find Yori meditating in the backyard and after taking a deep breath he approached her. Ron didn't say anything, simply sat beside her and let his anger at Kim seep out with every exhale. After a few minutes he entered meditation.

During his meditation, Ron trained with Xu Ming Yue, evolving in real time as a result. By the time the round of meditation ended Ron was confident that he wasn't the same young man who sat to meditate that afternoon. He felt more in control of his destiny. Opening his eyes, Ron's breathing stopped when he saw a serene Yori smiling at him, she looked stunning to his eyes, a goddess.

"Hey." Ron finally greeted breaking the silence.

"Hey, Ron-san." Yori returned, asking. "How was the mission?"

"On hold till we find Monkey Fist, who most likely stole the relics." Ron replied much calmer about everything.

"Oh." Yori simply said.

"What about you, did you guys enjoy the lake?" Ron asked.

"Without you we voted and decided unanimously not to go." Yori explained.

Sighing Ron took her hand in his. "Sorry."

"It's okay, we each have our responsibilities." Yori said in understanding.

"I know but sometimes I wonder what it would be like just to live my life." Ron said softly not aware of the weight the statement would have on his future.

~~~
The rest of the week for Ron and Yori, was spent rapidly advancing Ron's training while the duo looked forward to meeting with Shego. Though when the day arrived Shego called and excused herself, begging to reschedule and explaining that she had a very important reason for it.
Unbeknownst to Ron and Yori, Shego had explained to Drakken her desire to retire and after negotiating back and forth they settled on her completing a few jobs and then she was done. Shego had been hoping to surprise both Ron and Yori when they visited but Drakken's stubborn side interfered, still she was looking forward to seeing them and telling them she officially retired.
From Shego, Ron recieved a new mission outfit that could stop bullets and was knife resistant and after modeling it for Yori, the two spent some time kissing as their hormones won out. They were just about to take it a step further when Wade called in for a mission, more historical relics being stolen, this time in South America.
The mission went pretty much just like the last, with the relics being stolen and the closest thing to a culprit was a sighting of Falsetto Jones earlier in the day. Ron, once again pointed out that it looks like the villains had teamed up but was promptly ignored, again. It was when Wade, once again, ended up agreeing with him that Ron finally voiced what had been building in him for some time now.
"Wade, Kim, I really have to say something." Ron finally decided to speak his mind.
"What is it?" Wade asked.
Ron looked from one to the other before finally nodding. "I'm going to retire from the hero work once we recover the historical relics."
There was absolute silence for about five seconds before Kim erupted. She started yelling and demanding 'where was this coming from?'. Then she started blaming Yori and her influence on him, that led to him quiting. Ron knew that the news would surprise both of them, so he had planned to let the information sink in while explaining that hero work was interfering too much with his life, that at this point he really doubted he had a personal life outside of it. But when Kim accused Yori of influencing his decision and then started raving about where his loyalties should be, Ron snapped.
Ron's voice took a low and whisper like intensity though he was heard clearly as he demanded "Kim, when have we hung out in the last few months that wasn't waiting for a mission drop or returning from one? Answer: Once and it was because I was tutoring you for Home Ec. Your personal life has been spent around Josh and mine has been split between extra credit and homework. I've barely even shown Yori around town and she's been in town for months. Let's not forget that almost everytime I make plans with a friend a mission comes up. I haven't been able to sit down and game for so long, that if I find the time to do so, it'd feel strange. I don't know how many of my friends are doing let alone you, who has been my friend since pre-k. I have to draw a line and I've done it. I'll stay and help recover the relics but that's it, there are agencies paid and trained to handle the situations we do and it's frankly time they pulled their weight."
Kim was momentarily struck silent and Wade chose to speak up. "I understand Ron and though I know the team won't be the same without you, I've been working on a little something that should help Kim while we find a replacement."
"You agree!" Kim yelled.
"Yes, Kim, I do." Wade said. "You've always managed to balanced your hero work and life spectacularly but I've seen Ron constantly struggle to keep it going. Before it wasn't as apparent since most of his free time was with you but once you started dating Josh and he made a few other friends it started showing that he couldn't maintain those relationships and it wasn't for lack of trying. Something was going to give and it finally did."
"Thanks, Wade." Ron said as the ride home arrived.
On the ride home, Ron spent time contemplating how having finally spoken up, he felt a hundred pounds lighter, realizing how much of a burden hero work had become even though he would've liked to keep helping people.
~~~

When Ron got home, he found Yori speaking on the phone in the living room. Seeing her nod in greeting he sat down and pulled out a flyer advertising Italian food deciding he would order in instead of cooking. It was about 5 minutes later that Yori ended the call with Shego and Ron wasn't entirely surprised that she was on the other end.

"Forgive me, Ron-san but it looked like you were not in a hurry to talk." Yori says.

"Nothing to forgive, Yori." Ron says to soothe her and asks. "How do you feel about ordering Italian tonight?"

"That is fine, Ron-san." Yori agrees.

"Great! Then what would you like?" Ron asked.

With Yori's answer, Ron had soon ordered and then they began to talk. Ron explained his decision to stop his hero work and why, while Yori listened calmly and supported his decision even saying that once things settle down he could do it again but the important thing was the choice is always his.

It was months after Ron's declaration that Monkey Fist surfaced, moving crates into his estate. Thus, leading to the now.

~~~
Ron moved silently, with no shadow or sign he was there. He was on the last mission as a member of Team Possible, having chosen to step away from hero work and focus on other, more important things.
Still, he was giving it his undivided attention, using all the training from over the years to infiltrate Monkey Fist's castle and recover the artifacts he stole from various countries. Ron was a third of the way done with the areas he was tasked with searching and knew Kim was using the battle suit and its features to check the areas she was designated for the artifacts. Exiting another room in the castle, Ron was about to move the next location when he faintly heard the echoes of conversation. Still too far to make out what was being said, Ron made his way over hoping for a clue as to what Monkey Fist was planning.
He found the room where the conversation was coming from easily enough, it was the central chamber with a round table in the center and enough chairs to seat twenty people comfortably. Ron was currently standing on the second floor hallway, that wrapped around the room and tried to identify the many people in the room. He spotted Gemini, Dememtor, Monkey Fist, DNAmy, Camille Leon, Drakken, Aviarius, the Mather, Gill, Frugal Lucre, Electronique, Duff Killigan, the Fashionistas, Jack Hench, Falsetto Jones, Señor Senior Senior and a hooded figure he couldn't identify.
"...I have found their location but in doing so my activities have been exposed. For our plan to succeed we need a diversion to throw Team Possible off my tracks." Monkey Fist finished saying to everyone gathered.
"But can it really work man?" Asked Duff Killigan.
"It will, all that's needed is to retrieve the pieces and bring them together." Answered Monkey Fist before asking. "So who will help our endeavor by attracting Team Possibe?"
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I can have something up in twenty four hours if that is to your satisfaction but I will claim Europe as compensation." Declared Señor Senior Senior.
"What, I want Europe myself." Professor Dementor declared.
"So do I." Said Camille Leon.
"I'm happy to step down if you can be the distraction." Senior responded.
"I do not have anything ready at the moment, it will take me at least a week to put a plan into motion." Dementor said looking at Monkey Fist.
"We don't have that kind of time, Dementor." Monkey Fist said.
"Fine, let's put it to a vote then and see if everyone is okay with him getting Europe." Dementor compromised.
"All in favor?" Asked Monkey Fist raising his hand.
Ron looked around the room and noticed that the majority, although reluctant, did raise their hand in approval. 'Must be some big plan to have gathered so many villains.' Ron thought. Feeling Rufus shift in his pocket Ron suddenly had an idea and reached to him with his mind.
'Hey Rufus, I need your help.' Ron said telepathically. Although Ron couldn't see the little guy he felt him climb his way to his shoulder forcing him to admire Rufus accomplishments in his own training.
'With?' He heard Rufus voice in his mind, still trying to get used to how masculine and deep it sounded, unlike his usual squeaky one.
'Take my Kimmunicator and record their conversation while I finish searching my area. If we know what they're planning Kim will have an easier time dealing with it.' Ron explained.
'Sure.' Rufus said and a short moment later Ron felt the Kimmunicator snatched from his hand and disappearing from his sight and senses.
'Thanks, buddy.' Ron said moving towards the next area.
Turns out resuming the search was the right call as two rooms later, Ron found the artifacts. Opening the com link he whispered. "Found the artifacts in the south wing, second floor, third door to the left."
"Got it." Came Kim's clipped reply letting Ron know she was still pissed that he was giving up the hero work but they had argued about it enough, he was done.
"I can use a hand to get them out of here, just try to avo-" Ron asked for help while trying to explain something but Kim cut him off.
"On my way." She said going into radio silence.
"Kim you have to avoid going into the room at the center of the castle. Kim, can you hear me! Kim!" Ron called almost shouting by the end of it. "Wade, I need you to patch me through to Kim, I think she turned off her com link."
"Ron, I didn't design them so that they could be turned off." Wade said before adding. "The only way for her not to hear you is if she took the unit out of her ear."
Ron was already running by that point in the conversation and hoping that Kim still remembered this was a stealth mission. If she walked into that conference room where a bunch of villains were having a meeting things could get complicated. Ron almost ditched stealth mode, his Ki control slipping for a moment, as he hurried back to the conference room.
When he made it to the spot he left Rufus before he quickly felt him climb up his leg. Ron was briefly relieved that the villains were exactly where they were before, he was thankfull that Kim was still being a professional till the door leading to the north wing opened. He felt like cursing as every villain turned to look at the seemingly empty space and the door closing.
There was a moment of tense silence before Dementor spoke. "If I remember correctly, Possible's battle suit had stealth capabilities."
The next second the villains took a violent approach to expose Kim.
The hooded figure was the first one to respond, pulling out a highly modified lazer gun and opening fire on Kim. Kim did the sensible thing and switched from stealth to shield mode. The lazer impacting her shield had enough force to push Kim back a few feet. Before Kim had a chance to move a couple of golf balls rolled to a stop in front of the shield and exploded, pushing her the remaining distance into the wall. The others didn't wait around watching and moved to surround Kim, attacking with various guns.
Ron didn't wait either, seeing as Kim was effectively cornered. He jumped over the railing and did a front flip, landing soundlessly on the first floor. Moving quickly, Ron tried to incapacitate as many villains as he could before he was discovered. Ron reached Senior first and jabbed a couple of pressure points to take him out of the fight. He moved to DNAmy next and repeated the process.
By this point two things happened. One, Monkey Fist yelled for his monkey ninjas and two, Kim's voice was back on the coms.
"Ron, why didn't you tell me that villains were having a meeting in the central chamber?" Kim demanded.
"Who was it that cut off communications while I was still talking?" Ron whispered back equally annoyed before adding. "What's the suit's power supply at? I have two down but I don't know how long till I'm discovered. How long can you hold?"
"Forty one percent, break their encirclement so I can gain some space and be mobile, once that's done they won't be able to hit me." Kim directed.
"I'll try." Ron simply agreed and moved towards Falsetto Jones. The thief didn't see anything and was down in seconds.
Ron went after Gill next not wanting to deal with the mutagenic goo. With Gill down, Ron moved to take down Camille Leon but her cat jumped out of the bag onto him, bringing the Fashionistas and Camille's attention to him as Ron held it at arms length.
"Guys, we found the sidekick." Announced Camille.
Monkey Fist was the first one to respond, screaming 'pretender' and launching a couple of shuriken at Ron. Ron was tempted to toss the cat at Camille and move out of the path of the shuriken but he didn't want to hurt the animal. Afterall Debutant hadn't done anything requiring bodily harm as recompense. Thinking quickly, Ron used telekinesis and stopped the shuriken while releasing the cat onto the floor.
While using telekinesis Ron struggled to maintain stealth and decided to fade in, like a phantom becoming visible. The villains still seemed surprised by the attaire he chose though it wasn't the first time they've seen him in it. All his clothes were lined with a fabric similar to kevlar making most guns simply leave bruises instead of holes. The top was similar to a turtleneck sweater but the neck extended to cover half of Ron's face. He wore cargos so he could carry Rufus and store various tools. All in black for easier stealth. Ron also had a belt that carried his most noticeable addition, a sword. Although he mostly trained with Katana, a straight blade instead of the katana's curved blade resonated more with Ron as time went on. Thus, Ron chose a double edge sword that he carried on his belt at his back. At times Ron added a jacket or hoodie for more anonymity but this mission didn't need it.
Reaching into his left cargo pocket, Ron brought out a cylinder, around the size of his hand, he created with the guidance he recieved from Xu Ming Yue. It was a bo staff that could extend a remarkable distance with Ki and adjusted at will.
Ron began twirling the cylinder in his hand building up momentum while keeping an eye on those around him. Satisfied with the momentum, Ron jumped and spun with the cylinder adding his strength into it as he extended it to three times the length of a bo staff. The effect was satisfying as the Mather, Camille Leon, Aviarius, Drakken and Frugal Lucre went down and probably had a concussion after the blow to their heads, others ducked in time or the force had diminished after hitting the others too proving ineffective for a knockout. As for Dementor, he just wasn't tall enough to be in danger of being hit.
Kim didn't waste the opportunity to gain some space, seeing as half the number of villains were down, she rushed the hooded figure and took a few swings at him switching off her shield, the speed of her punches increasing with every swing. The person dodged or parried every punch surprising Kim enough that she stopped attacking and created some distance between them. Not wanting to go passive again, Kim rushed Duff Killigan and with the suit's capabilities made short work of him the whole time she made sure there was at least one villain between her and the hooded figure.
Now that Kim was mobile again, Ron relaxed a little bit knowing she could take care of herself. Seeing Monkey Fist's monkey ninjas enter the room, Ron knew Monkey Fist was about to rush him so he made the first move attempting to gain the upper hand. Dashing at Monkey Fist, Ron noticed Jack Hench a little out of sorts and promptly extended his bo staff once again sending him towards Kim who promptly dropped him with a couple well placed strikes.
"Nice one." Kim said over the coms.
Ron didn't have time to respond already having closed the distance on Monkey Fist. Ron swung the bo staff in a simple motion hoping to separate the monkey ninjas from Monkey Fist. The monkey ninjas evaded the swipe flawlessly giving Ron a few precious seconds against Monkey Fist alone, he didn't waste a moment. Ron twirled the staff, blocking a couple of punches from Monkey Fist and responded with a few strikes to his head, joints and feet. Monkey Fist pulled back just as the first of his monkey ninjas launched at Ron.
Ron intercepted it out of the air and stopped its momentum before delivering a blow to the head and taking it out of the fight. Monkey Fist came back into the fight kicking Ron's exposed back in the direction of the monkey ninjas. Three of the ninjas were ready and attacked Ron's face, midsection and legs. Thinking quickly, Ron twirled the staff and parried the blows to the face and legs while taking the kick to the midsection. Having been prepared for the hit Ron responded quickly and grabbed ahold of the monkey's leg, lifting the monkey into the air and brought him down onto the floor, hard. After taking the monkey out of the fight Ron used the chance to take out another two with his staff reducing their number to four. Monkey Fist didn't seem fazed by his monkey ninjas going down one by one, certain that he would win the fight.
As Ron turned to face Monkey Fist again, he took a deep breath and focused, putting the staff as a cylinder back into his pocket. Ready, Ron closed the distance with Monkey Fist again, a monkey launched at him and Ron grabbed it out of the air and threw it at Monkey Fist who evaded letting it slam into the wall behind him. Ron didn't let the that deter him and sped up his rush at Monkey Fist. Ron's aim was simple, he wanted to overwhelm Monkey Fist in hand to hand combat.
Their exchange was as ruthless as it was fast. Ron no longer held back, he couldn't afford to. Ron attempted to draw Monkey Fist into his pace, keeping him on the defense but couldn't quite take control. Although Monkey Fist was on the defense, he was blocking and evading anything that would disrupt his form. Ron had just avoided the monkey's next surprise attack but Monkey Fist timed his attack perfectly. Taking a hit to the face, Ron tried to avoid further attacks by blocking and counter attacking.
The result, an exchange.
Ron refused to distance himself from Monkey Fist seeing as their fast exchange of blows would lead to one or the other taking control of the fight, so he minimized damage and focused on disabling Monkey Fist. Avoiding a high kick to the head Ron ducked and attacked the pressure point of the other leg. Results were immediate as Monkey Fist lost his balance as his leg gave out. Ron didn't waste the opening and a few brutal attacks to Monkey Fist face took him out of the fight. After that, the monkey ninjas were simpler to handle as they no longer had the subtle cues from Monkey Fist.
Ron took a moment to access the situation before engaging again. From what he could see Kim took down all three of the Fashionistas and Dementor leaving Gemini, Electronique and the hooded figure, that worried Kim and Ron the most.
Ron chose to attack Electronique next, seeing as she had a literal electrical field surrounding her as she sniped at Kim with blast of electricity. Ron felt the electricity flow through him as he attacked her pressure points and took her out. Ron noticed the hooded figure aim at him and got ready to jump away, that's when he noticed his mistake. Although when he first took Electronique's attack he withstood it long enough to strike her pressure points but as he tried to evade the lazer his body moved too sluggishly to evade, he was going to be hit. Once Ron was certain of that, he stirred his Ki and prepared to defend, that's when everything went wrong.
Ron had a feeling she had followed him, but seeing her appear after a lazer shot through her and hit his shoulder. His own wound didn't matter, Ron reached her and removed her cowl, seeing Yori's rapidly paling face. Ron completely disregarded his safety and started to try and heal her on the spot. He heard Kim yell something but didn't care to listen, he needed to save Yori. The wound looked close to her heart, too close and Ron prayed it missed it. When his awareness finally made it to the damage area Ron confirmed that it indeed damaged her heart and poured all the Ki he could into healing Yori.
Yori tried to speak and ended up coughing blood.
"Don't talk. Focus on healing. Together we can make it work." Ron begged in tears as Yori continued to bleed in his arms. He wasn't fast enough.
Yori reached for him with her mind, he felt the soft touch but weak, too weak and instinctively connected his mind with hers never slowing down his healing.
"Ron-san, I'm not going to make it." Yori's voice was barely a whisper in his mind.
"Please don't give up, Yori, I can heal you. Just, hang in there." Ron begged his tears joining the stream of blood on her chest.
"Ron... -san, I love... you." Yori says her struggle to hold on more and more apparent.
"I love you too Yori and I'll show you how much everyday after we make it through this." Ron said.
When he saw Yori's soft smile at his words Ron's heart broke, he should have shown her how much he loved her everyday. He felt her heart stop struggling to beat and her whole body relax.
"Noooooo!" Ron lost control of his Ki.
~~~

"Yorriii!" Ron screamed at the top of his lungs. His Ki was on the verge of an attack and his stance ready to defend. Eyes glowing blue, Ron scanned the room for a threat. That's when he saw her, sitting on the bed and holding very still, her belly swollen with his child.

~~~
Shego was torn from sleep by Ron's pain filled scream. She would have gone to him and brought him into a hug but she was pregnant and had learned that he was expecting an attack so sudden moves tended to freak him out more, though he never so much as hurt her even in such an agitated state.
Shego's tears mirrored Ron's own as she mourned Yori but she waited for Ron to make eye contact before silently opening her arms to him. His glowing blue eyes faded and Ron was by Shego's side in an instant. Ron hugged her firmly but incredibly gently and Shego rubbed circles on his back as they cried in each other's arms.
It had been three years since they had lost Yori, Ron's last mission being a disaster instead of a simple recovery. Seeing Yori's body after the mission, Shego had been in much the same state as Ron, it was only thanks to Ron and Sensei that she was able to pull herself together. Ron's nightmares were daily for the first year but gradually he came to terms with the lost. It wasn't till Shego got pregnant that his nightmares returned. Shego knew what was going on, they had talked about it enough, Ron was afraid that something would happen to her and the child and he would be unable to do anything.
When Ron stopped crying and started rubbing her belly Shego couldn't help but smile. That's what always helped him calm down, the child.
Shego couldn't help but think back to when they, Yori, Ron and Shego started dating. It was painful as it was beautiful. Ann had already divorced her husband after finding out he had cheated but couldn't trust Ron knowing there was an intimate relationship between Ron and other women. Ann and some of the others asked Ron to choose and as much as he tried, Ron couldn't tell one he loved her without admitting that he loved the others. Ron felt like trash as one by one his ladies walked out only leaving Yori and Shego. He told them it was okay to leave him, afterall he was no better than James Possible, maybe even worse.
That's when Yori stepped in, it was the first and only time Shego had seem her angry with Ron. Yori had slapped Ron in the face as soon as he finished talking before she finally started screaming. Why did Ron compare himself to James Possible? Why did he beat himself up for falling in love with so many women? And why did he assume she would walk away from him because he didn't only love her? He needed to understand that he was a kind, courageous and accepting man. That when he finally noticed the affections of the women around him he gave them a chance, leading them to make a place in his heart. So what if he loved them all, at least he didn't lie to them and admitted it, he accepted his feelings and told them about it, giving them the choice of what to do. Finally, Yori told him that those who left would soon realize their mistake since there was no other man like Ron. Taking a deep breath she told him 'At your side is where I belong.'
'So do I if you'll have me.' Shego added as she closed the distance and kissed them both.
After that Ron started culinary college moving to an apartment by the school that the three shared with Rufus.
Shego was brought out of her thoughts as she felt Rufus climb onto her belly, patting it as he looked at Ron.
"I'm okay, Rufus, sorry to wake you." Ron said before Rufus had the chance to ask.
"No problem, was hungry." Rufus squeaked.
That brought a smile out of Ron and like a chain reaction, out of Shego too. "Okay I'll make us something."
After that, Ron kissed Shego and untangled himself from her, leaving the room in his boxers. Shego looked at Ron's back and said to Rufus. "Keep him company."
"Guard." Rufus squeaked before laying down on her belly.
Shego proceeded to pet his head for a few minutes before Rufus abruptly sat up and there was an explosion.
~~~

As the explosion rocked the house Ron's first thought was of Shego. He wasn't worried that whoever was attacking would get in on the first try since Shego had the house built like a bunker. But Shego was pregnant and they had agreed no powers for her since they didn't know how it would affect the baby.

Ron made it to the room in moments and was glad to see Shego waiting for him in the panic room inside the walk in closet.

"Are you okay?" Ron asked unable to believe his eyes.

"Yes, now what's the plan?" Shego asked focusing on the problem at hand.

"Please wait for me here while I deal with whoever is attacking our home." Ron said moving further in the room and getting some of his weapons.

Shego sighed before speaking. "Be careful."

Armed now, Ron kissed her and exited the room. "I will be."

When Ron saw the panic room door close he disappeared from sight, fading like he was a ghost.

Turns out it was not an explosion that rocked the house but Hego's super strength as he slammed his fist at the door. Ron saw that not only Hego was here but his twin brothers as well. Behind them stood an army of synthodrones and the same villains that had participated in the conference as Monkey Fist's castle three years ago.

Ron felt fury rise up inside him. Here he was retired and still they did not appreciate his restraint and attack him at home. Ron briefly thought he should have hunted them down after what happened to Yori but took a deep breath to focus on what he needed to do.

Going to the door that was already warping under Hego's assault, Ron unlocked it and let it fly open on the next punch. Ron saw that the twins were ready, multiplying and rushing into the house in search for its occupants. He was tempted to chase after them but he knew the biggest threat was Hego. There was no way into the panic room from the outside and only Hego could force his way through.

The second Hego walked through the door, Ron attacked his pressure points and brought him down in under a second. With Hego out for the count, Ron drew his blade and charged the synthodrone army outside, his form nowhere to be seen.

Ron had taken out a dozen synthodrones before their goo started pooling on the ground. By the time another dozen was down one of them was lucky and gooed him, effectively making his stealth mode useless. Fading into view, Ron continued taking out synthodrones, remembering to stay close to the door. As the fighting went on Ron started taking glancing blows. Nothing that hindered his fighting abilities or threatened his life yet but it seemed to be only a matter of time.

As Ron fought his focus was all around him. With his senses so focused, Ron felt like he had a three sixty degree view, increasing the speed of his actions. He took out synthodrone after synthodrone with increasing ease since he didn't need to worry about killing someone. By the time the last synthodrone fell and his state of focus slightly diminished Ron realized two things. One, he had dozens of wounds and two, he had stepped away from the door.

Looking around he didn't spot any of the villains that masterminded the attack. Rushing into his home, Ron spotted Hego right where he left him. Worried about Shego, Ron rushed towards their room and found what he dreaded. In his room stood all the villains, with Shego in their center and various weapons leveled at her.

After Shego closed the door to the panic room she started giving commands. "Home, show the intruders."

The monitors in the room flashed to life and showed the front of the house. The first thing Shego noticed was her brothers though Mego was missing. Then the army of synthodrones came into view followed by villains hanging in the background. Shego took a deep breath trying to calm down, that's was alot to take down even if she was fighting alongside Ron. When the door to the house opened followed shortly by Hego going down, Shego knew Ron started his counterattack.

The screen also showed the Wegos multiplying and beginning to search the house but Shego chose to focus on Ron even though she couldn't see him. That didn't last for long as one of the synthodrones goo spray managed to outline Ron's invisible figure and he faded into view. This caused the fight to intensify and the synthodrones attacks to start connecting. Shego saw the synthodrones encircle Ron and with their attacks move him further from the door giving the villains enough space to walk right in.

Shego looked at the monitor's for the twins and noticed them standing outside the panic room with the villains following a duplicate straight to her room. She took comfort in that they wouldn't easily get into the panic room and focused on Ron. He looked to be in his element as he took out synthodrones faster and faster.

"Danger!" Squeaked Rufus forcing Shego to look around.

Mego stood in the room with her and Rufus, his hand already opening the door. The door sliding silently open and revealing the waiting twins. Shego absentmindedly understood how he got in, the vents in the house were big enough for Rufus to run in and Mego must have shrunk himself, navigating their network, meaning the synthodrones were a diversion so they could find her.

Two things happened just as she pieced everything together. One, Rufus squeaked 'door' and telekineticaly pushed Mego out of the room. Two, he jumped at the twins preventing them from entering with some telekinesis. Shego went to the door and pressed the button to close it hoping Rufus would hop back in but the little guy didn't even turn around.

Looking at the monitors, Shego watched as Rufus raced across the floor after Mego, no doubt aware of the threat he posed. Just as he got to Mego, Rufus was surrounded by the twins duplicates. Rufus fighting style resembled a precision drill as he targeted the pressure points of his opponents and jumped from one to the next. Still, he couldn't take down Mego before he rushed out of the room.

Rufus didn't seem ready to give up and started to give chase. Just as he reached the door Rufus was struck by a shuriken that came out of seemingly nowhere. The shuriken sticking out of his back Rufus struggled to keep going after Mego. Shego cried seeing this, Rufus hind legs didn't seem to be responding as he dragged himself foward with his front paws, still not ready to give up.

The villains entered the room one by one with Monkey Fist pulling out another shuriken and throwing it at Rufus. Shego hoped that Rufus would dodge or stop it with telekinesis but the shuriken struck true, sinking into his head.

"Rufus!" Shego screamed and pounded her fist on the monitor when Monkey Fist kicked Rufus body into the wall.

Shego knew it wasn't time to mourn yet and hoped that what she was about to do didn't hurt the child. Igniting her plasma she sealed the vent shut and turned to give commands to the to the house since the door would open when a certain amount of carbon dioxide gathered to make sure the occupant got enough air.

"Home disable emergency protocols for the panic room." Shego commanded.

"Emergency protocols cannot be disabled for the panic room." Was the reply Shego got.

"Override and disable." Shego demanded.

"An override cannot be preformed." Came the reply.

"Home display carbon dioxide levels in the room." Shego said as she knew it was now a waiting game. Ron would either defeat the synthodrones first or the emergency protocol would open the doors to the waiting villains.

Ron was making great progress and Shego did her best to slow her breathing but just when there was a dozen synthodrones left the door to the panic room opened, time was up. Shego briefly debated resisting but with various weapons leveled at her and more importantly the child she surrendered quietly.

"I wondered why we didn't see you fighting." Declared Electronique as she patted Shego's belly. "You're expecting."

The villains were much too composed as they pulled Shego into their midst and waited for Ron to step through the door. He did in moments, freezing at the sight of various weapons leveled at her.

"What do you guys want? I left the hero business years ago." Ron asked.

"We know squeeb but..." started Gill.

"...every plan we will try is..." continued Drakken.

"...is ultimately stopped by you." Finished Monkey Fist.

"So we brought it to a vote and decided to make you part of the solution." Declared Dementor.

Electronique pulled out of the purse she was carrying the Attitudedinator but it looked modified.

Shego now understood why her brothers were involved with the villains and what plans they had for Ron so she spoke up. "Guys listen, you REALLY don't want to do this, when Ron is forcefully turned evil he embraces his full potential but can be a little reckless, the last time he nearly shook the planet apart for some nacos."

"What better way to keep him from stopping us then having him be one of us." Said Duff Killigan.

That was like the signal as the villains inched closer to Shego while Electronique got closer to Ron.

"Don't resist." Electronique said standing a good three feet from Ron.

Shego saw him tensed before sighing and lowering his weapon, Ron couldn't risk it. When the red ray shot from the Attitudedinator and hit Ron, Shego hoped it wouldn't be like when he had Drakken's evil in him. Shego felt more than saw the change in Ron. It was like the warm and kind Ron was replaced by a cold and detached one.

"Did it work?" Asked Senior.

"Oh, it worked alright." Ron answered, his voice devoid of emotion.

"Good, now you will help us take over the world and Shego will remain unharmed." Said Gemini.

That was the wrong choice of words, threatening him was a mistake. Shego saw the decision being made in Ron's eyes as his Ki flared and his eyes turned blue. The next second there was the sound of scraping metal followed by tense silence. The Attitudedinator had been reduced to a ball of scrap metal.

"Here's my counteroffer." Ron began speaking. "You will all surrender and let Shego walk to safety or I kill you where you stand. Your choice really." Ron waited three seconds for them to make up their mind before speaking again. "Consider this your final warning."

As soon as the words stopped, Frugal Lucre's head went into the air, blood spraying those closest to him. Ron's blue eyes calmly looked at the villains as he waited for their reply. Seeing Monkey Fist move his hand behind his back Ron focused on him. Ron attacked Monkey Fist faster than anyone could blink and extremely lethally. Fist's hand that reached behind his back dropped to the ground holding a monkey statue followed quickly by his head. Ron's threat level now that he stopped trying to keep his opponents alive went through the roof and Shego doubted anyone here could be a worthy opponent.

DNAmy made the next mistake. The scalpel she'd been holding pricked the skin of Shego's belly as she screamed. "Monty!"

Ron had finally lost it when he saw Shego bleed, especially considering the location of the wound.

"Die!" Ron screamed and moved into action.

Sadly, even with his speed Ron couldn't stop everyone from taking desperate action and tragedy struck again as he blocked two bullets with telekinesis and had a knife stabbing through his open palm into Shego's belly.

"Noooo!" Ron yelled kneeling by Shego and already using the healing technique, this time he had to make it.

The villains thought to make use of the opening and attack Ron but when they moved towards him they were pushed by his telekinesis.

"I think we should leave." Said Drakken already running towards the door.

Some of the villains tried to collect the monkey statue but it was to close to Ron for them to reach. Reluctantly they all left except Senior whose cane sword was stabbed into Ron's hand and Shego's belly. It wasn't that he didn't try, no he was firmly held in place by Ron's telekinesis and if you looked closely you could see the pained look on his face.

Shego never lost consciousness when she was stabbed or more accurately, the baby was stabbed. She wished she had. Looking at Ron's tears and broken look she knew what had happened, they lost their miracle. Still, Ron worked on healing the child.

When Ron finally accepted that he couldn't save the child he healed Shego's wound as he extracted the sword.

"Please wait for me outside." Ron asked once Shego's physical wounds were taken care off.

Crying Shego went over to where Rufus laid and picked him up before turning to look at what Ron was going to do. "I'm staying by your side."

Ron didn't try to convince her further as he looked at Senior and pulled the cane sword out of his hand. Dropping the sword to the floor, Ron spoke. "I'll be releasing you now but be warned, if you run I'll be paying Junior a visit." As Senior stood still Ron continued. "Good, this is going to be the game. I'll be torturing you till you die, you scream once and I'll go after Junior next, you die without a scream Junior won't see me again."

Shego saw Senior stiffly nod and Ron got to work. Ron wasn't fast but he was brutally efficient. As he stabbed his sword into Senior's foot Ron used telekinesis to grind Senior's right hand to paste, the one that held the cane sword when it stabbed into Shego and the child. Seeing blood at the corners of Senior's lips Shego guessed he bit off his tongue. Ron must have used telekinesis with the sword as when he lifted it a bloody bone was on its tip. A few bones later Senior fell to the floor, his foot unable to hold him up.

When it looked like Senior would finally faint, Ron simply jabbed a few pressure points and brought him back around. After nearly ten minutes, Shego wondered why Senior had yet to choke on his own blood and realized Ron must have been healing him as the Spaniard kept chewing his tongue. The healing and torture continued for a few more hours. All the bones in Senior's legs and arm were removed, even some of his spine littered the floor. Like the right arm the rest of Senior's limbs beside his head were grinded into paste. Eventually and with a sigh, the Spaniard succumbed to his injuries dying.

Shego could tell that Ron didn't feel satisfaction, fulfillment or even pleasure at what he done, but a strong bloodthirst hung in the air like a blade at your neck. Ron walked into the closet with the monkey statue and a few moments later walked out with a suitcase.

"We'll go to a hospital and see if I made a mistake. When you're healed we can hunt down the rest of them."

Shego was still crying and looking at Ron's icy blue eyes knew that it was for both of them. Going to Ron, she hugged him tight and whispered. "It's not your fault." Ron made no sound or movement to acknowledge he heard her. Taking a deep breath, Shego followed Ron to the garage before speaking again. "Home initiate self destruct, code 0, 1, 0, 3, 1."

"Are you sure?" Ron asked.

"Yeah, I'm never coming back to this place." Shego replied.

With the sound of the countdown Ron drove them from their home to Go city general a few miles away and not two minutes later an explosion was heard. In the hospital there was no miracle, they lost the child. After agreeing to a seasection the child was to be extracted. Knowing Ron, he would be with her the whole time so Shego relaxed and let herself drift to sleep with the anesthetic.

When she came to, Ron was right beside her holding her hand. "Was it a boy or a girl?"

"Boy... do you... want to see him?" Ron asked.

"I can't." Shego cried out as she held onto Ron but it was different.

Ron's actions were the same, he hugged her, gently rubbing her back but his heart wasn't there and that made her cry all the more. In one day she had lost Ron, Rufus and their child. Just as she finally calmed down the nurse came in and asked how they would like to handle the body. Seeing Ron's hands tighten into fist Shego knew she had to make the decision.

"Cremation." Shego simply said and saw the nurse walk out of the room. "Ron get Rufus and make sure he is cremated with our son."

Ron stood, went to Shego's clothes and after gently picking Rufus up he faded from view. Twenty minutes later he was back by Shego's side.

"They're together." Ron said.

Shego nodded and held his hand.
