Destroying it usually solved a lot of problems.
Unfortunately, there was one very important issue.
Cassien had absolutely no idea how to destroy this one.
The crystal was nearly three stories tall, pulsing with enough mana to make the air itself feel heavy. Every vibration sent purple light racing through the cavern walls. If he guessed wrong and triggered some kind of chain reaction, there was a decent chance everyone inside this chamber would explode.
Including him.
Which would be inconvenient.
The six-horned leader continued staring at him.
The chamber remained silent.
Dozens of cultists waited.
Some looked doubtful.
Some looked impressed.
A concerning number looked inspired.
Cassien mentally added "accidentally becoming a prophet" to the list of problems he needed to solve.
Finally, the leader spoke.
"If what you say is true..."
His voice echoed throughout the cavern.
"...then what do you suggest?"
Cassien immediately knew he had succeeded.
