Chapter 64: Power Transformation Across Worlds
At that moment, Yumesaki realized something.
Whether it was Chakra, Mana, Nen, or Haki, there was a high probability that they were all different manifestations of human vitality. Each world had a different way of utilizing that life force, leading to drastically different effects.
It was like coal and diamonds. Those two things looked completely unrelated, yet both were primarily composed of the element carbon. Simply because of a different atomic structure, their outward appearances became worlds apart.
Yumesaki felt that Chakra, Mana, Nen, and Haki were the same... at their core, they were vitality. Because they were mixed with other elements or fused in different ways, various changes occurred. But the essence remained the same.
That was why these powers shared such similarities.
Upon realizing this, Yumesaki felt the Golden Gate within him tremble slightly. The massive amount of Mana in his body rapidly transformed into Chakra. Immediately after, that Chakra shifted again, turning into Armament Haki.
In theory, Armament Haki could only be awakened once a person's physical speed and strength reached a certain standard, and Yumesaki's current physical stats were still far from meeting those requirements. Yet, he had truly mastered Armament Haki.
Then, with a single thought, Yumesaki transformed the Armament Haki back into Mana.
Tobirama and Serie naturally noticed this and couldn't help but stare at him.
"How did you do that?" Serie asked curiously.
Yumesaki didn't hold back and explained his thought process.
Serie tilted her head and said, "I understand the principle. Even if the core of both is vitality, what method did you use to turn the coal into a diamond?"
Understanding was one thing, but doing it was another entirely.
Yumesaki shrugged. "To be precise, I didn't do it. It's an ability granted to me by the Golden Gate, which allows me to transform various powers from different worlds."
"Interesting." Tobirama's eyes sparkled. "Can that kind of ability be given to us as well?"
If he could transform Chakra into Mana, wouldn't he be able to use magic instantly? Even Serie looked at Yumesaki with a surprised expression, her eyes filled with a certain yearning.
Yumesaki shook his head. "There's no way to do it right now. The power of the Golden Gate is still too weak. Once I continue to repair and upgrade it, I might be able to share this ability with you."
Tobirama felt a bit let down, but not overly so. After all, Yumesaki had said it couldn't be done now, not that it was impossible in the future. There was still hope. He quickly pushed the minor incident aside and resumed his exchange of magic and Ninjutsu with Serie. He even hoped to eventually combine the two.
Serie was just as intrigued by the prospect.
Seeing the human and the Elf completely immersed in their discussion, Yumesaki turned around and returned to the world of One Piece.
By the time he got back, Minato and Kanae, who had fainted earlier, had woken up one by one.
"Are you two alright?" Yumesaki stepped forward to check on them.
Minato and Kanae both shook their heads. Aside from being knocked out by the shockwave, neither of them had sustained any serious injuries.
Minato asked curiously, "Lord Yumesaki, who exactly is Lord Serie? How is it that she possessed such terrifying Conqueror's Haki the moment she awakened it?"
After all, he was the Fourth Hokage, a man born on the battlefield who had seen countless experts. Even Hashirama's Conqueror's Haki hadn't made him pass out. Yet Serie had casually knocked them both unconscious; it was incredible.
Yumesaki thought for a moment before explaining Serie's origins to them.
They were all stunned by what they heard. Minato said in amazement, "So Lord Serie is actually an existence similar to the Sage of Six Paths."
"No, even the Sage of Six Paths can't compare to Serie. If I had to put it in perspective, Serie's position is more like Otsutsuki Kaguya, though she is far more dominant than Kaguya."
Yumesaki corrected him.
Minato suddenly understood. No wonder Serie could unleash such a monstrous Conqueror's Haki.
"Where is Lord Serie now?" Minato asked. He hadn't seen the powerful Elf when he woke up.
"She's quite interested in the Ninjutsu of your world," Yumesaki said. "So she's currently exchanging thoughts on magic and Ninjutsu with Tobirama."
Hearing this, a look of pride appeared on Minato's face. He hadn't expected such a grand figure to be interested in Ninjutsu.
Yumesaki smiled and changed the subject. "Alright, let's head to the Baratie first to pick up Robin, Nami, and Karin."
Kanae nodded immediately.
Yumesaki opened a Door-Door and stepped into the Baratie.
As soon as he entered, he saw a familiar face. It was a young man with a scar under his eye, wearing a straw hat, a red vest, and blue shorts, with a face full of smiles.
Monkey D. Luffy.
The main protagonist of the One Piece world had finally appeared.
Yumesaki glanced over and saw that Luffy was indeed followed by a man with short green hair carrying three swords.
Zoro.
Even though Yumesaki had taken Robin away, defeated the Arlong Pirates, and caused quite a few ripples, this butterfly effect clearly hadn't stopped Luffy and Zoro from meeting. The two had still crossed paths and arrived at the Baratie.
Somehow, the two of them had managed to get here without Nami's guidance. It was a minor miracle, considering one was chronically lost and the other knew nothing about navigation. Sailing the seas on pure luck alone—it really wasn't easy for them to make it this far.
But speaking of which, was the team missing a person?
Right now, Luffy had somehow found out that Nami was a Navigator and was currently pestering her, wanting her to join his pirate crew.
"Hey, I'm begging you, please join my crew and be our Navigator!"
His attitude was incredibly sincere, but unfortunately, Nami wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. She looked at him with an impatient face and said, "I refuse. Stop bothering me. There's no way I'm getting on your ship."
"Why not?" Luffy looked genuinely confused.
"Because," Nami said, her face filled with deep-seated resentment, "I hate pirates more than anything."
In the original timeline, Nami's hometown had been oppressed by the Arlong Pirates. To save her village, she had been forced to deal with them, enduring unimaginable suffering. That hatred for pirates was carved into her very bones.
In the original story, after meeting Luffy and finding out he was a pirate, she had abandoned him without hesitation and even stole his ship. If it weren't for Luffy later defeating the Arlong Pirates and saving her and her village, Nami wouldn't have joined the crew so easily.
