Chapter 19 - The Synergy Between Naruto and One Piece

Chapter 19: The Synergy Between Naruto and One Piece

Just as Tobirama was racking his brain, trying to figure out a way to get Kazuma Yumesaki to lead Konoha into action, Yumesaki suddenly felt a pang of hunger. He stood up and casually brushed the dust off the seat of his pants.

"Let's go grab something to eat."

Tobirama Senju answered instinctively, "I have no need for food."

In his current Reanimation—Edo Tensei—body, hunger was a foreign concept. Even if he were to eat, he wouldn't be able to taste a single thing.

Yumesaki rolled his eyes. "You don't, but I do."

As he spoke, he strode out of the park, scanning the area for a restaurant that looked packed with people.

In a world without online review systems, a lack of customers didn't necessarily mean the food was bad, but a crowded place was a guarantee of quality. If it wasn't good, people wouldn't be standing in such long lines.

Yumesaki waited in line for a solid thirty minutes before he finally secured a seat. He ordered the house special: a plate of beef fried rice.

Perhaps because the average person in the One Piece world had a monstrous appetite, the portion size of this "special" fried rice was absolutely staggering. The plate alone had to be at least ten inches in diameter.

Yumesaki stared at the waiter who delivered the food with a look of pure disbelief. "Is there no small portion of the beef fried rice?"

The waiter replied calmly, "Sir, this is the small portion."

At that exact moment, another waiter passed by carrying a plate the size of a washbasin.

Yumesaki blinked. "Ah... I see."

Once the waiter left, Yumesaki stared down the mountain of rice in front of him and couldn't help but complain under his breath. "I remember reading the manga... the food didn't seem quite this massive."

Tobirama added dryly, "Manga is merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this world."

It certainly seemed that way.

Yumesaki didn't feel like arguing. He picked up his spoon and took his first bite. As soon as the food hit his tongue, his eyes widened. It was delicious—truly, incredibly delicious.

The grains of rice were perfectly separated, fragrant and soft, each one lightly coated in oil. The beef was tender yet retained a slight, satisfying chew—not tough, but with a perfect "snap" to it. Most importantly, it had a powerful Wok Hei—the "breath of the wok"—that made it taste heavenly.

Yumesaki had to admit, the culinary level in the One Piece world was a tier above the Naruto world. A dish from a random restaurant here easily surpassed Ichiraku Ramen.

It was clear that the Shinobi World was lacking in the finer things of life.

Yumesaki began to dig in with gusto, but it wasn't long before something unexpected happened. He had only finished about a fifth of the rice when he suddenly felt completely stuffed.

He knew for a fact that he wasn't a small eater. Even if the plate was large, based on his usual capacity, he should have been able to finish half, or even two-thirds. But now? He was full after only a fifth.

It made no sense. With an appetite this small, he'd be out-eaten by a toddler.

"Can't eat anymore?"

Tobirama seemed to notice the change and asked.

Yumesaki nodded. "Yeah, I'm done. My stomach feels totally full. Maybe I just don't have an appetite today?"

Tobirama shook his head. "It's likely not about your appetite. It's the rice itself."

Yumesaki looked confused. "What do you mean?"

"When I was reading the manga earlier, I noticed a discrepancy," Tobirama explained. "The physical constitution of the people in this world is absurdly powerful. Some can fight for several days and nights without tiring."

"More importantly, they don't possess a power like Chakra. They fight entirely using their physical stamina."

"That is virtually impossible in the Shinobi World."

The Taijutsu experts of the Ninja World fundamentally relied on Chakra. Even someone like Might Guy was dependent on it. Without Chakra, let alone the Eight Inner Gates, he wouldn't even be able to perform basic Taijutsu effectively. A single stray kunai could take his life. A Taijutsu master without Chakra was no different from a commoner on the street.

But the One Piece world was different. Even without Devil Fruit abilities, there were countless Taijutsu masters who stood at the very peak of the world. "Black Arm" Zephyr, Garp "The Fist," and "Red-Haired" Shanks were the prime examples.

Beyond that, their recovery speed was insane. Even if their bones were shattered, they could recover in just a few days simply by eating a lot and resting. In contrast, even with Chakra, a ninja with a broken bone would be sidelined for one to two months, unless they had the help of a Medical Ninja. The recovery rates weren't even on the same level.

"So, I was curious," Tobirama continued. "Without a supernatural force like Chakra, where does the energy to heal wounds and restore stamina come from?"

Tobirama raised a finger. "The food."

"Especially the Sea Kings. They must be the ultimate source of nutrition. I estimate the energy provided by a single Sea King likely exceeds anything we can imagine."

"However, the problem is that not everyone can catch a Sea King."

"So, my theory is that the food in this world is naturally rich in potent energy. In other words, the nutritional value of this food is several times higher than what we have in the Shinobi World."

"The reason you're full after only a few bites isn't because of a bad appetite. It's because the nutrient density of this meal is so high that your body has already absorbed all the energy it can handle."

Tobirama sighed. "If this food were sent to Konoha, the strength of our ninja would see a massive, explosive surge."

Yumesaki couldn't argue with that. The source of Chakra was well-documented: a perfect blend of physical and spiritual energy. Setting spiritual energy aside, physical energy was extracted from the body's cells. If there was food capable of rapidly restoring that physical consumption, Konoha's ninja would indeed grow exponentially.

Those whose growth had hit a plateau would surely break through their limits. If someone could eat this food every day, perhaps every Jōnin could possess Chakra reserves rivaling the Uzumaki Clan.

Conversely, with the physical bodies of humans in the One Piece world, if they could refine Chakra, they might become human Tailed Beasts. It wasn't impossible for some masters to even surpass them.

From this perspective, the worlds of One Piece and Naruto truly complemented each other perfectly.

It was a realization worth celebrating, yet for some reason, Yumesaki couldn't bring himself to feel happy. The main reason? He wasn't from the Naruto world, and he wasn't from the One Piece world.

He couldn't refine Chakra, and he didn't have a freakishly strong physical body. Who could be happy in that situation? Certainly not him.

However, he wasn't the type to wallow. He quickly adjusted his mood, tossed the slight annoyance aside, and continued his walk with a smile.
