Kiefer – POV
We followed Mia in silence.
She led us away from the main building… deeper… toward an old, abandoned-looking area.
An old stadium.
Torn papers were scattered everywhere. Water puddles covered the ground.
The whole place was a mess.
A complete mess.
"Sorry, Kuya," Mia said casually, glancing back at Angelo.
"We don't usually stay here for long but… yeah."
Angelo frowned.
"Why is there a boxing area here?"
Mia shrugged.
"We come here to take out our frustration."
She turned to a boy nearby.
"Hey, Alex," she called.
"Where's Sugar? And by the way, your mini version—Max—was about to spill everything in front of the headmistress."
Alex scratched his neck.
"Ah… I saw her. She's inside—with Kuya Percy."
Mia's brows furrowed.
"When did he come?"
"When you ran out after making her sign those papers."
"Shut up," Mia snapped lightly.
She turned again, and we followed.
Aries finally spoke.
"Why is Percy here?"
Mia stopped and looked at him.
"You're her brother too, right?"
Aries nodded.
"Then don't you know your own brother?" she said bluntly.
Aries sighed.
"I mean… this is still a school. He doesn't study here."
Mia smirked.
"This place?" she said, looking around.
"It's outside school jurisdiction."
Then she continued walking.
We entered a large hall.
Four sofas were arranged together. Several people were sitting there…
And among them—
Jay Jay.
And Percy.
Mia clapped lightly.
"Hey, Sugar," she said.
"Your brothers… and your fiancé are here."
They both stood up.
Jay Jay looked shocked.
Then annoyed.
"Oh wow," she muttered under her breath.
"I sent you to clear the mess… and you brought a bigger mess with you."
Mia raised her hands.
"Okay, okay, I'll leave. The plan worked, though. She got scared and signed everything."
"Get out," Jay Jay said flatly.
Then her eyes moved—
To Angelo.
"Why are you here?"
The air turned heavy.
Before Angelo could answer, Percy stepped in.
"Let's sit and talk first."
Suddenly, Mia came back and casually sat beside Jay Jay again.
I almost sighed.
Angelo spoke calmly.
"We came to take you back. But the headmistress told us HVIS students will be transferred here for a trip."
He paused.
"And what about those sixty-two detentions? What exactly did you do?"
Jay Jay leaned back lazily.
"Am I really supposed to go back there?" she said.
"I don't want to. I'm happy here."
She smirked slightly.
"And those sixty-two? Not my fault. Thirty-four are already handled. The rest will be too."
Angelo's tone hardened.
"You're coming back after fifteen days."
"But why?" she snapped.
"I said I'm happy here."
Mia nudged her.
"Come on, Sugar. Don't talk to your Kuyas and your fiancé like that."
Jay Jay froze.
"…Fiancé?" she repeated.
Her eyes shifted slowly—
Toward me.
Mia pointed.
"Are you blind? He's sitting right there."
Jay Jay let out a dry laugh.
"Him? Who told you that?"
"Obviously Angelo and Miss Amelia," Mia replied.
Jay Jay turned toward Angelo—shocked.
"Do you have memory issues," she said sharply,
"or do you just refuse to recognize reality?"
Angelo didn't react.
"Your engagement with Yuri is canceled," he said.
"I know you didn't want it."
Jay Jay clapped slowly, sarcasm dripping.
"Wow. You understood that so fast."
Her eyes darkened.
"What about your company?" she added.
"And don't tell me you're taking me away from Yuri just to hand me over to him."
She pointed at me.
"You're misunderstanding one thing," she said firmly.
"I won't. I will never."
Angelo sighed.
"I won't force you. But you're officially free from Yuri."
Jay Jay narrowed her eyes.
"…Your company?"
"No need to worry," Angelo replied.
"It will be handled."
He stepped back slightly.
"From today onwards, Aries will stay with you in your condo until the trip ends."
He glanced at me.
"And Kiefer… in the one next to yours."
Jay Jay stood up immediately.
"Why with me? Since when did you start favoring them?" she snapped.
"Sorry—I can't."
"You have to," Angelo said firmly.
"Or I'll take you back right now."
Silence.
"Aries, stay with Jay Jay. Kiefer, you too," he continued.
"I'll send your luggage."
And just like that—
He walked away.
Leaving all of us behind.
"WAIT—I didn't agree to this!" Jay Jay shouted.
She ran her fingers through her hair in frustration.
Mia grinned.
"Wow… better than a drama."
She casually started eating popcorn.
Jay Jay snatched it instantly.
"Is this a movie?" she snapped.
"Why are you chilling? Go handle Alex—GO!"
Mia pouted.
"At least give me my popcorn back—"
Jay Jay exploded.
"Valdez," she said dangerously,
"before I throw you off this building, break your bones, take you to the hospital, and break them again—
GET. OUT."
Percy sighed.
"…It's better you go."
Mia froze—
Then ran out immediately.
Silence filled the room.
Jay Jay turned—
First toward Percy.
Then slowly…
Toward Aries.
And finally—
Toward me.
And for a moment…
Everything stopped.
She stood there—
Wearing black palazzo pants, a fitted black top, and a black leather jacket.
Boots.
Her hair open—straight, slightly wavy, flowing effortlessly.
She looked the same…
And completely different.
Stronger.
Colder.
Unreachable.
But still—
my Jay Jay.
My chest tightened.
This is what I lost…
And standing right in front of me—
the girl I broke…
