Chapter 133 - Three Questions

Kel's three questions arrived Saturday morning.

Not at the courtyard. At the kitchen table — which was a change. The courtyard had been the default meeting place since the first session, the outdoor space with the between-space quality of the school's concentrated between-walker presence running through it.

Kel came to the kitchen.

Sat down.

His mother set tea in front of both of them without being asked and went to the oversight board annex where the Tuesday preparation happened on Saturdays.

Kel looked at the tea.

"The first question is about the curriculum," Kel said. "Section six. When the fear returns."

"Yes," he said.
