Huo Yuhao walked out of the Third Laboratory's gate and followed the corridor all the way to the entrance of the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy.
He did not return directly to his dormitory, but instead walked out the academy's gate.
For the past few days, he had been staying in the laboratory researching Spirit Tools, having barely stepped out. Now that he had some rare free time, he wanted to go out and take a stroll.
Come to think of it, for this training experience, he had brought quite a few metal Materials from Shrek Academy, precisely so he could continue researching and crafting Spirit Tools while away.
For these metals, he had even specifically spent quite a lot of Contribution Points.
However, Huo Yuhao checked his Storage Soul Tool and discovered that those metals had been mostly consumed.
"I need to send the finished Spirit Tools I've made recently back to the academy, exchange them for Contribution Points, and then get another batch of Materials."
Huo Yuhao calculated in his mind.
Especially just now, after personally assembling Teacher Xuan Ziwen's Remote Surveillance Soul Guidance Device, he discovered that he had gained some new ideas.
Of course, Huo Yuhao wouldn't just take that Spirit Tool of Teacher Xuan Ziwen's as one of the five new types of Spirit Tools he was developing.
That was Teacher Xuan Ziwen's item, not his. He needed to refine some inspiration again and then continue working hard.
Huo Yuhao took a deep breath. He knew he needed to utilize his strengths as much as possible.
Whether it was regarding Spirit Tools or his Spirit.
As Huo Yuhao thought about this, he walked out of the academy's grounds and arrived on the streets of Radiant City.
Radiant City was the capital of the Sun Moon Empire. The streets were wide, filled with people coming and going, and small shops lined both sides, making it incredibly lively.
Huo Yuhao strolled around casually, his gaze sweeping over the surrounding shops, until he finally chose one that looked quite tidy.
The shop wasn't large, but there were quite a few people sitting inside; business looked good.
Huo Yuhao walked inside, found a seat by the window, and casually ordered a few dishes.
Before long, the dishes were served.
Huo Yuhao picked up his chopsticks and began to eat.
However, just as he was halfway through his meal, a noisy commotion came from another corner of the shop.
"How did you make this dish? It tastes so terrible, yet you dare to sell it?"
A rough male voice rang out, filled with arrogance.
"Gentlemen... this... this dish was prepared the usual way..."
The shopkeeper's voice carried a hint of panic and grievance.
"The usual way? I don't care how you usually make it; regardless, I'm not satisfied with this dish today!"
Another voice rang out, carrying a hint of mockery.
"Do you know who we are? Being able to come to your little shop to eat is your good fortune!"
Huo Yuhao raised his head and looked in the direction of the voices.
He saw five people sitting at another table inside the shop.
The leader was a burly bald man with a long scar on his face, looking fierce and menacing.
The other four were also robustly built; one look and it was clear they were not good people.
Their attire was no different from ordinary people, but Huo Yuhao could clearly sense that all of them were emitting fluctuations of Spirit Power.
They were Spirit Masters.
And... their Rank was not low.
Standing next to their table was a middle-aged man dressed in simple clothes. His expression was a mix of shock and fear, his hands constantly rubbing his apron, and his lips trembling slightly.
"G-gentlemen, how about... how about I treat you to this meal? Please don't be angry..."
The shopkeeper's voice carried a hint of pleading.
"Treat us?"
The scarred man sneered.
"Are you trying to dismiss us like beggars?"
He stood up, looking down at the shopkeeper with eyes full of disdain.
"Give each of our brothers one hundred gold coins, and we'll pretend this never happened. Otherwise... don't even think about keeping this shop open."
The shopkeeper was so scared his face turned pale, and his legs were trembling.
The surrounding diners all lowered their heads; not a single person dared to make a sound.
Huo Yuhao saw this scene and frowned slightly. He put down his chopsticks, stood up, and walked over there.
"Gentlemen."
The scarred man turned his head and saw a youth who didn't look very old. A flash of contempt crossed his eyes.
"Kid, this is none of your business. Get lost."
Huo Yuhao ignored his attitude and simply said calmly.
"This is Radiant City, the capital of the Sun Moon Empire."
"If you act so unreasonably, I'm afraid you'll invite trouble."
The scarred man raised an eyebrow and looked Huo Yuhao up and down.
"Kid, are you threatening us?"
Huo Yuhao shook his head.
"I am merely reminding you."
The scarred man stared at Huo Yuhao for a few seconds, then sneered.
"Fine, today you're lucky."
The scarred man turned around and led the four men out of the shop.
Before leaving, he turned his head and glared fiercely at Huo Yuhao, his eyes filled with a touch of malice.
Huo Yuhao's expression remained unchanged as he watched the backs of the five men disappear outside the shop door.
At this moment, Skydream Ice Worm's voice rang out in his mind.
"Yuhao, these people have ill intentions."
"The way they looked at you... it's not right."
Huo Yuhao sighed slightly.
"I know."
He had originally just wanted to eat a meal in peace; he hadn't expected to run into trouble as soon as he came out.
However, Huo Yuhao didn't really care.
Those few people weren't worth him taking to heart. He sat back down in his seat and continued eating.
The shopkeeper hurried over, looking at Huo Yuhao with a face full of gratitude.
"Young brother, thank you, thank you..."
"However... those people didn't look like good characters. You should finish eating quickly and leave, lest they come back later."
Huo Yuhao nodded and said indifferently.
"It's fine."
After finishing his meal, Huo Yuhao paid the bill and walked out of the shop.
He did not return directly to the academy but instead intentionally walked toward a secluded alley.
Sure enough, only a few steps after entering the alley, several figures darted out from both ends of the alley, blocking his path.
It was exactly those five people from before.
The scarred man stood at the very front, arms crossed over his chest, a hint of smugness on his face.
"Kid, you've got guts, actually daring to walk into a place like this to seek death?"
His voice was full of mockery.
"It suits our wishes perfectly."
"If we don't teach you a lesson today, you really won't know the immensity of heaven and earth."
The other four people also revealed malicious smiles one after another.
Huo Yuhao looked at them, his expression calm.
"Are you sure... you want to make a move?"
The scarred man laughed out loud.
"What? You know fear now? It's too late!"
As his voice fell, he waved his hand abruptly.
"Get him!"
The four men charged up simultaneously, their Spirit Rings lighting up; they were all at the Four-Ring Soul Ancestor Rank.
A formless mental fluctuation instantly spread from Huo Yuhao's eyes!
Mental Shock!
Hum—!
The four people charging at the front felt as if their brains had been struck hard by a heavy hammer. Their vision went black, they lost consciousness entirely, and they collapsed limply to the ground.
In an instant, all four of them fainted.
Only the scarred man remained standing in place, eyes widened, looking at Huo Yuhao with a face full of disbelief.
"You... you..."
The scarred man's voice was trembling.
He looked at his four companions lying unconscious on the ground, then looked at the calm-faced Huo Yuhao, his legs uncontrollably beginning to retreat.
"What kind of monster are you?!"
Huo Yuhao did not speak, just watched him quietly.
The scarred man swallowed his saliva, trying hard to maintain his composure, but the trembling in his voice betrayed him.
"You... don't come over!"
"I'm warning you! If you dare to make a move on me, the Holy Spirit Cult will not let you off!"
The Holy Spirit Cult?
Huo Yuhao frowned slightly; he had never heard of this organization.
"The Holy Spirit Cult is an existence you cannot afford to provoke!"
"If you dare to touch me today, the experts of the Holy Spirit Cult will definitely find you. When that time comes... you will wish you were dead!"
Huo Yuhao looked at him and was silent for a moment. He truly didn't know what the Holy Spirit Cult was, but he could learn about the situation from this scarred man.
