Trevor looked back at Zachary before asking carefully, trying not to sound nosy, "Sir, you still have her number saved?"
Zachary didn't answer. His gaze remained fixed on the vibrating phone, his expression calm and his emotion unreadable.
Then he cast a brief glance toward Trevor, who immediately knew his boss was signaling for him to leave the room.
Trevor immediately nodded to excuse himself. Without saying a word, he quickly gathered the documents from the desk. He rushed out, closing the door behind him as quietly as possible.
Silence filled the room once again.
The phone continued ringing, but Zachary made no move to answer it. He simply sat there, watching the screen until the call finally ended and the office became quiet again.
Leaning back in his chair, he let out a slow breath, his eyes still fixed on the darkened screen.
