The year is 2189, 

Young, 17 year old soccer prodigy Yusuke Takamaki is getting bored of soccer. 

That is, until he's invited to join a facility designed to create the best striker in the virtual world. 

In there, he goes through intense training and soccer matches, each one testing his physical and mental abilities as he meets others that are as good as him, and sometimes even better than him.
