"I... you made me bleed?!"
Kaito's scream echoed through the valley, and it wasn't just a human voice; it was laden with a heavy magical energy that made the air tremble like the waves of a raging sea. The young man who had claimed godhood was staring at the blood on his hands with bulging eyes, his pride crumbling before the reality that he had been wounded by a mere human.
Above his head, the golden screen shifted from a brilliant light to a bloody red glow, emitting a hum that sounded like an angry angelic hymn.
"Fine... if the threads of fate cannot bind you..." Kaito whispered in a manic tone, raising both hands toward the sky as his eyes burned with destructive golden light. "...then I will burn the entire board to ashes!"
[Absolute Fate Command: Sun of Purification.]
[Warning: This command will cause a severe disruption to the natural balance of the continent!]
A massive golden energy, the size of a small sun, gathered above Kaito. The heat generated was so terrifying that the rocks in the valley began to melt into magma. He was ready to sacrifice a portion of the Tempest Empire just to ensure Akira's vaporization.
Akira tightened his grip on his black dagger. His body was screaming in pain, but his left eye glowed with a brilliant blue light.
"So, you want to destroy everything?" Akira whispered, beginning to focus every last drop of the "Void Raiment" into the blade of his dagger. He knew that if the energy of the Void collided with that golden sun, his body might be torn to shreds, but he wasn't going to let him destroy the capital that had sheltered him.
Akira braced himself for a suicidal leap.
But before he could dash forward... the fabric of reality tore open.
Craaaack!
A sound like the shattering of a giant crystal echoed in the sky.
Suddenly, the space between Akira and Kaito split open. It wasn't an ordinary mana rift; it was a cosmic fissure revealing a star-studded void, from which ancient golden runes rained down.
From within this cosmic rift, a woman stepped forth.
She wasn't walking; she was floating. She wore a white cloak woven from starlight, and half of her face was covered by a veil of pure light. She carried no weapon, but the aura surrounding her was the very embodiment of "Absolute Authority". It wasn't magic; it felt like the "Voice of the World" itself, incarnated in human form.
The "Guardian of the Fabric" didn't waste a single second. She turned toward Kaito, who was on the verge of unleashing his catastrophic sun, and with a swift motion, waved her hand.
"What are you doing, Lay—?!" Kaito screamed, but his voice was cut off.
[Emergency Command Cancelled. Higher Will Intervention.]
The golden sun in the sky evaporated instantly as if it were a mere illusion, and Kaito fell to his knees, coughing violently, as though his spiritual energy had been drained from him.
The woman named "Layla" turned toward Akira. From behind her luminous veil, her eyes glared at him with infinite cruelty.
"Anomaly Entity: Akira Yuzuki. Threat Level: Distortion of the Fabric of Fate," Layla spoke, her voice echoing in his mind like ancient church bells. "In the name of the Higher Will, you shall be erased from existence."
Layla raised her hand toward Akira. She didn't cast an ordinary fire or light spell. She unleashed a beam of pure "Light of Genesis"—a light designed to deconstruct the target's existence and return it to the nothingness from whence it came.
"You won't erase me!" Akira roared.
He pushed all of his remaining Void energy forward, forming the [Void Shield].
The Light of Genesis collided with the black Void Shield.
There was no deafening explosion; instead, there was a silent, terrifying struggle between two different laws. The Light tried to annihilate the Darkness, but the Void... the Void began to "swallow" the Light.
Akira's body began to bleed from his nose and eyes due to the immense spiritual pressure. The black shield began to crack, but... it held. He was not erased.
For the first time, Layla's transcendent aura wavered, and shock appeared in her eyes.
"It... it's devouring the Light of Genesis?" Layla whispered in disbelief. "That's impossible. His seal is at 99.9%, and he's capable of this?"
Suddenly, the ground shook violently beneath their feet. The crimson sky began to turn a deep black mixed with dark red.
The dense mana of the Jura Forest, and the wild nature of the Tempest world, began to revolt. This world, built upon the foundations of terrifying monsters, began to reject the presence of these intruders who were trying to impose their fate upon it. The world itself began to roar in anger.
Layla looked up at the furious sky, then at Akira, who was panting heavily but still standing on his feet, his dagger pointed at her, the Void leaking from him like black flames.
Layla realized a terrifying truth: forcing this boy's death right now would completely shatter his seal. And if the "Throne of the Void" broke open, it wouldn't just swallow her; it would drag the entire Jura continent into a black hole of nothingness.
"Retreat," Layla said firmly, grabbing the collapsed Kaito by the shoulder.
"Let go of me! I have to kill him!" Kaito screamed hysterically, blood dripping from his mouth.
"Shut up, you reckless fool! The wrath of this world has awakened, and this anomaly has begun to devour our energy! If his seal breaks now, we will all perish!"
Layla shot Akira one last look, carrying a blunt warning. "You survived today, Akira Yuzuki, because you are hiding in a world swarming with rebellious monsters. But we will return to cut your thread."
With a flash of golden light, the cosmic rift closed in on itself, and Layla and Kaito vanished completely, leaving behind a silent void.
Akira finally fell to his knees. The black shield faded, and his dagger dropped from his hand. His body was utterly shattered, his muscles burning, and his eyes fluttering shut, but he was breathing.
He had forced the emissaries of Absolute Fate to retreat.
Clap... clap... clap...
The sound of slow, quiet clapping broke the silence.
Diablo descended from the sky with terrifying grace, his black demonic wings folding behind his back. The Primordial Demon walked toward Akira, who was struggling to get up, and bowed with profound respect, a smile stretching across his face from ear to ear.
"Kufufufu... What a breathtaking performance, Akira-dono."
Diablo stepped closer, his demonic eyes gleaming with a manic excitement he hadn't felt since Rimuru's disappearance 500 years ago.
"I have seen kings fall, and heroes die... but I have never seen a human face the 'Emissaries of Fate' and force them to flee like panicked rats. It seems your presence here... will truly shatter the heavens of this world."
Akira weakly lifted his head toward Diablo and offered a faint smile before his vision went completely dark, collapsing unconscious onto the ground of Tempest he had just defended.
