The sunlight shone through the windows, making my eyes flutter faster. The light was the last thing I was worried about. What I really relished was the gentle breathing of Kat, tucked away with her forehead on my chest. My chin was on top of her head, feeling her body's natural warmth.
'Hahaha~ she's more of a spider in her sleep!'
Her legs locked with mine. Her arms wrapped around my whole body, keeping me stuck to hers.
'What a wonderful way to wake up.'
My hands gently traced the smooth line of her back as she continued sleeping, but it seemed my touch was enough to stir my sensitive little Kat. She shifted, her white hair gaining a vibrant intensity from the morning light.
"Hmm? Ohhhh, good morning, hubby!"

Being on the receiving end of morning kisses felt heavenly! Life was really so good right now.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked, cuddling her closer and pulling her into my chest. She didn't resist one bit, melting into my embrace with a contented purr.
"What do you think, idiot~?"
"Definitely fantastic, then!"
"Hehe~ you know it."
We enjoyed the shared warmth for a few more minutes before we reached the ominous moment: the moment we had to separate and actually face the world.
"Noooooooo."
"We have to. Ugh."
Through a gentle use of red, I separated us and got us out of bed.
"Want to get Starbucks for breakfast? We can get groceries after school for the week!"
"Sure."
I put on some street clothes, not minding uniform regulations. The great thing about alternate universes is that there weren't any, except for when you had an alter ego.
My shirt was a white Vlone long-sleeve. My black LV pants fit perfectly. A pair of black Air Forces, I wasn't wearing Yeezys, topped off with a quick finesse of my hair.
"Looking good, handsome!"
"Thanks, beautiful."
Felicia was dressed in her blue jeans from yesterday, paired with an oversized white LV shirt. The way the fabric draped over her frame really turned my head, though I think it was mostly because it was my shirt she was wearing.
'Phone check. Card check. Wallet…'
I still didn't have one. Thankfully, my phone case had a card holder on the back. Apple really stepped up their game by selling such base cases. What was missing were earbuds, but I forgot to charge the ones I bought.
"Ready?"
"Yep~!"
We walked one block up to the nearest Starbucks to get our drinks and breakfast. While it was useless information, I got an iced mocha latte with no whip, and she got a white chocolate version of the same thing. The two of us got the wonderful double-smoked sandwiches.

Mary Jane looked genuinely wounded, her green eyes fixed on the space where a Starbucks cup could have been. Gwen looked up from her notebook with a similar expression of betrayal, but there wasn't much I could do about it now.
"Next time, I'll text you," I offered, flashing a small, apologetic smile. "Actually, let me get your number, and I'll make sure to check in before I head over."
"Deal!" MJ's mood flipped instantly, her hurt expression replaced by a bright, opportunistic grin.
I felt a sharp, playful side-eye from Kat. I didn't even have to look at her to know she was watching my every move. I just shrugged and took down MJ's number.
"Gwen, I'll call you next time, too."
"Don't forget," she murmured. She didn't look up this time, her blonde hair falling forward to hide her face as she scribbled something into her notes. "By the way, Peter is going to be absent today."
"Why?"
"Ask her. She's the one who told me." Gwen gestured toward MJ with her pen.
We both looked back at MJ, who suddenly looked a bit stressed, her fingers nervously twisting a strand of her red hair.
"I'm not sure, but he looked super worn out this morning," she explained. "Like he hadn't slept in days. His aunt made him stay in bed to recover."
"Oh." Kat's dry response said it all.
'He definitely worked too hard last night,' I thought.
Felicia scooted her desk next to mine. MJ was already anchored to my left, and Gwen was directly in front of me. Kat and the girls started chatting, their voices music to the ears. Each with their own unique voice that was pleasing to listen to. Since I wasn't a part of their conversation, I took it as a sign to check in with the system.

A wave of knowledge flooded my mind, a chaotic energy merging and fusing with the cool energy I got from Satoru's abilities. It was amazing how I could take in all these "low-tier" abilities like this. It actually made me excited for the abilities that cost more.
'Why did it cost 2,000 more than Satoru's?'

I never would have thought that would've been the case, not that it really mattered either. With the 60,000 points I had left, I doomscrolled ideas.

I closed that tab and forgot about it. My curious mind was sated just like that. My attention returned to the reality around me.
The sound of my fingers tapping on my desk was pleasant, with the beautiful ladies talking around me. Sure, I had feelings for Felicia, but being surrounded by flowers was always nice, regardless of how I felt about the other two. Though with how Felicia acts with Gwen, I wouldn't be surprised if I found myself with two flowers in my garden.
'Hah~' I sighed internally.
More than anything in this world, I just wanted the family I built to be harmonious. I didn't see a harem being like that, but who knows. Whatever happens, I'll face it then.
'I'll just take a nap, I guess.'
Closing my eyes, I fell quickly asleep, not caring about when class would start.
