World Introduction

[This chapter explains the world where the story takes place, including its history, society, and how humanity adapted after The Falling.]

The Falling:

The Falling occurred roughly 50 years before the beginning of the story.

During The Falling, mysterious portals appeared around the world. These portals led to Dungeons containing monsters and valuable resources.

The appearance of Dungeons caused massive destruction and disrupted governments, transportation, trade, industries, and the global economy.

At the same time, the System was granted to humanity, allowing people to develop supernatural abilities and eventually become Hunters.

The Great Revolution:

The period following The Falling became known as The Great Revolution.

Human civilization had to adapt to the existence of Dungeons, monsters, the System, and Hunters.

Governments created new laws and organizations, while new industries developed around Dungeon resources.

Hunters became an essential part of society because they were responsible for dealing with Dungeons and the threats within them.

The World Today:

Fifty years later, humanity has adapted to this new world.

Dungeons are now a normal part of civilization, and Hunter-related industries exist alongside traditional businesses and professions.

People still attend schools, work ordinary jobs, run businesses, and live normal lives.

The main difference is that Dungeons and Hunters are now part of everyday society.

Hunters can be seen as professionals, celebrities, employees, Guild members, or independent workers depending on their rank and occupation.

Korea:

Korea is one of the countries where the Hunter industry has developed significantly.

Its cities contain numerous Guilds, Hunter facilities, and Dungeon-related businesses.

The country has both ordinary citizens and Hunters living alongside each other, with the Hunter Association managing Hunter activities and Dungeon operations.

The story mainly takes place in Korea, beginning in the southern region of Seol.

The Rest of the World:

The changes caused by The Falling affected every country.

Different nations developed their own Hunter organizations, Guilds, laws, and methods of dealing with Dungeons.

International Hunter organizations and powerful individual Hunters also exist, making the strongest Hunters known far beyond their own countries.

The world has changed considerably since The Falling, but humanity has adapted to it.

This is the world in which our story begins.
