They say that the weakest being is the first to fall, but Zano is an exception.
If he's where he is in life, that's because of a variable that no one can predict: luck.
But, nothing actually goes as you think.
He didn't know what to think that night, but he did the impossible anyway.
As someone who wanted to reach the afterlife, but in an other way like him, it's pretty hard to neglect how disgusting other people are, that's also why he decided to follow that path.
The air was actually pretty warm that night, yet he never felt so cold before.
But, right when he was about to jump, something happened.
In an other universe, two immortal beings fought, with a strength so immense that could overpower gods.
In the Realm of Truth, Chaos, and his sister Order, were destroying everything in their path during their battle. Every single dimension, every single alternative, was being eliminated.
Nobody knew if it was a simple distraction, or just bad reflexes(Like Zan's) but Order got the better.
One of the sister's arrows pierced right through Chaos, sending him into an universe called the Milky Way.
He hit Mars, Uranus, and almost Jupiter, landing straight on Earth.
He landed right on Zano's head, and the arrow that was through him pierced through the guy's head, hitting a nice spot in a caries.
Zano didn't remember anything after he lost his senses, but surprisingly, he woke up right in his bed, in his home, which was populated by just him, since his parents weren't here anymore.
His tooth, though, hurt surpisingly bad.
He decided that maybe, all of this was just a bad dream, and got ready to go to school.
As he dressed up, ate breakfast and went to school, he couldn't help but think about how strange this dream was.
He sat down in his usual desk at the back of the class, looking out of the window lost in his thoughts.
All of a sudden, every single subject, every single thing that was supposed to be hard, was so easy for him.
He was even arguing with the teacher about something that he explained to the class in a supposedly bad way, when he realized, that he wasn't the one talking.
He immediately got up and went to the bathroom without permission, ignoring every single comment that people did to him in the hallway.
He stood in the bathroom, running his hands through his hair in an unusual way of his.
A friend of his came in through the door, his voice cutting through the unsettling silence.
"Hey, is everything alright?"
Zano nodded quickly.
"Yes, sorry. I think it's just a bad headache."
His friend nodded back, standing next to him patiently.
"Did you see the news? Yesterday a beam of light fell in our city, people think it's caused by the otherworld researchers."
Zano looked up anxiously.
"Seriously? Did they see some, like, random guy aswell?"
"Uh no, I think?"
"Well, okay. I'm going back to class."
The school day passed by in an unforgettable slowness, yet Zano felt so calm when he usually felt so pissed of by that.
He went home, washing his face and grabbing the money that his grandma, from Australia, sent to him to pay the bills.
He sat on the couch, grabbing the remote and putting on a comedy on tv.
It was so funny. So funny that he laughed two times, at the same time?
His teeth ached more and more when he was laughing, and he rushed to the bathroom, looked in the mirror and opened his mouth.
His eyes immediately darted to the aching spot, when he spotted something moving.
He closed his mouth, swallowing and then opening it again, but, as soon as he did, something else was there.
An enormous eye, that filled his whole mouth, was looking back at him through the mirror.
It wasn't that disgusting, actually.
It was a strange, bright color, and it radiated with something that felt like superiority.
It took a few seconds before a rough yet angelic voice broke the silence.
"I'm so lucky, I landed right on someone that doesn't wash his teeth."
Yet, I have to keep upgrading everything to the maximum if I want to reach perfection.
That was what was dominating Pluto's mind as he slashed through every thing that was moving.
As the enemies got more and more, he felt like he finally got better at something.
Zan was moving in exactly the same way.
Every single scream of pain made by the creatures was being covered up by laughs.
He grabbed the ship's anchor, wrapped it's chains around Pluto's body with a simple throw, and suddenly created the strongest weapon ever.
"My friend!"
His voice broke the laughs,
"This doesn't feel so bad anymore! This feels amazing!"
He threw Pluto around like he was a ball, who destroyed everything by using the impact force and his simple fists.
Then he got thrown in the dark, but suddenly, nothing was that fun anymore.
He hit something, hard and strong, that sent him flying straight back.
"Fun is over, guys."
Zano's voice evaporated the fun in an instant as he walked out of the pitch black, his mouth opened, revealing an other mouth, one that was smaller, yet emanated more strength, inside.
"Yeah, boys, let's get over with it."
The concept of strength is one of the hardest to learn, most people think that it's the weapon that can raise that attribute, but it's actually the user.
"Hey, Zano, are you okay?"
Zano looked up from that usual spot on the ground.
"Yes, I am."
"Are you sure? You're always so detached from reality. You should focus on this sport more, you have the right physique, but you really can't get yourself to do it."
"Hey, Zano, are you okay?"
"Yes, I am."
"Are you sure? You're always so distracted from this game. You should focus more, you even have one of the strongest consoles out there, yet you really can't get yourself to do it."
"Mother, do you think that I'm doing the best I can?"
"Well, why do you ask me that, sweetheart?"
"It's just... I feel like I'm not doing the most I can with my possibilities."
"Well, you know, just remember, if you ask yourself that, then it means you're already doing more than good."
A nice, surreal wind was blowing while Zano was moving around at the speed of light.
Pluto and Zan crouched into a defensive stace, while their Hoki suddenly began working again.
"Guys, come back here right now, we're opening a portal."
Zanone answered in a way that was uncharacteristically anxious.
"We can't! There's just... so much chaos here!"
Zano bolted in front of him before hitting repeatedly his face with an intense speed, ending everything with one of the strongest kicks he ever landed.
Zanone got sent flying away, his hand pulling Pluto with him through the chain as everything exploded into a mix of bright light, high pitched sounds and pure chaos.
Reya and Vano were laying on the ground, but not dead yet.
Vano weakly tried to grab his specialized gun, but in an instant, Zano teleported next to him, smashing his head back to the ground.
All Vano saw was a single frame.
Pluto and Zanone screamed through their hokis.
"We can't escape! Send us help right now!"
If I want to be perfect, I have to upgrade my speed to the maximum aswell.
Pluto dodged one of Zano's attacks, before actually holding him off in a mess of fists and blood.
In the meanwhile, Zanone was trying to bring Vano to a safe place.
A-Souls gathered around his body, protecting him.
Zano let out a high-pitched scream as he got punched straight in his face, before suddenly opening his mouth, then a bright, imponent hand came out of it, grabbing Pluto and slamming it into the ship.
He smirked in a wicked way, but then, something pressed against his back.
"This is it. You're done."
Reya's voice was rugged and in pain as she pressed her gun into Zano's skin.
"Today, Reya has captured one of the strongest enemies for humanity.
Do you have any last words?"
His eyes widened.
"Last words?"
He laughed, before falling into a series of serious coughs.
"Damn it... that was so fast."
He looked around, at the dead creatures, at the blood, at the mess he had done, then closed his eyes.
"That was so stupid too."
His voice dissolved into a sigh.
"After all of this, I seriously thought that everyone else's words were right?
I tried to convince myself for all this time into thinking that I was a failure just because I decided it. Now, as I finally realize that the fault wasn't mine all along, I can't help but actually feel... sad.
Finally I got it, mom. All of those sweet words were just to raise my humor up."
Tears were falling like all of his hopes, in a scene that could make even the Chaos that was inside him, in order.
"Mother.
I would have hugged you a little bit harder if I knew that was the last time I could."
