The cave was no longer a sanctuary; it was a cage of flickering purple light.
As the digital avatar of Mo Zan sneered from the monitors, the "Neo-Aether" tech in the room began to scream. The power cables snaked across the floor like cobras, guided by the King's broken code.
"You think a decade of stone made me weak, Bō Ken?" Mo Zan's voice was a layered distortion of a thousand harvested souls. "I didn't just survive the crash. I became the crash. I am every 0 and 1 in this world's new heart."
A "Glitch-Husk"—a jagged, pixelated warrior made of hard-light—stepped out from the main server rack. It didn't have a face, only a scrolling line of red text:
[DELETE_USER_KEN].
The Spirit's Limitation
Ken lunged, his ghostly hand crackling with Thunder. But as his fingers passed through the Glitch-Husk, he felt a sickening cold. He wasn't hitting a body; he was hitting a firewall.
"My attacks... they aren't registering!" Ken shouted, his form flickering violently.
"He's operating on a higher frequency!" Rin cried out, her fingers flying across her terminal, trying to throw up a counter-script. "Ken, you're still a 'Legacy' file! He's 'New-Gen' code! You can't touch him without a physical anchor!"
The Glitch-Husk raised a blade of purple light. It swung, and even though Ken was a ghost, the "Data-Blade" sliced through his spirit-essence.

The Second Glitch
Mina looked at the satchel of glowing shards. She looked at her mother, then at the flickering boy-turned-man she had just rescued.
"He's not a file!" Mina screamed, throwing herself between Ken and the Husk. "He's a Vanguard!"
She reached into the satchel and grabbed the largest shard of the statue—the piece that had covered Ken's heart. She didn't just hold it; she slammed it into the center of the Glitch-Husk's chest.
CRACK.
The shard acted like a grounding wire. The purple light of the Husk began to bleed into the sapphire blue of the stone.
"Now, Ken!" Rin yelled. "Sync with the shard! Overload his frequency!"
Ken didn't hesitate. He dived into the shard.
[INITIATING: THE SECOND GLITCH]
[FORCED SYNCHRONIZATION: 150%]
For a heartbeat, the room went silent. Then, a shockwave of pure, white-hot Aqua-Thunder exploded from the shard. Ken wasn't just a ghost anymore; he was a "Hard-Light Construct." His right arm became solid, glowing with the texture of a storm-cloud.
He grabbed the Glitch-Husk's head and squeezed.
"Access... denied," Ken hissed.
The Husk shattered into a million harmless pixels. On the monitors, Mo Zan's digital face screamed in silent frustration before being replaced by a calm, blue "System Restored" screen.
The First Step to Humanity
The purple light vanished. The cave returned to the warm glow of the moss.
Ken stood in the center of the room. He looked at his right arm. It wasn't stone, and it wasn't mist. It was real.
[ITEM ACQUIRED: THE RIGHT ARM OF THE VANGUARD]
[PHYSICALITY: 25% RESTORED]
"I can... I can feel the air," Ken whispered, clenching his fist. He looked at Mina and Rin. "Mo Zan isn't just one ghost. He's split his soul into the seven Spires. This Husk was just a scout."
Rin walked up to him, her eyes shining with hope. "Then we have a path. If we take down the Spires, we take back the world—and we take back you."
Ken looked at the "Life-Seed" glowing in Mina's hand. He wasn't just a statue anymore. He was a man coming back to life, one miracle at a time.
"Pack your things," Ken said, his voice now steady and human. "We're going to the Neon Capital. I think it's time for an Adventure."
