Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

Eva's pov

The Blazing Sun mocked her as soon as she moved out of the shade, she could feel the burning sun prickling her porcelain skin. It's certainly is scorching today. She thought as she rushed into the school building, hearing the bell ring.

It was the last period for the day and she had chemistry, the one Subject she hated the most because of Matthew, he was the mayor's son and Eva's biggest tormentor.

Entering the empty chemistry lab, Eva settled down in her usual seat and pulled out her sketch book.

Eva loved drawing eversince she were a kid. She often didn't know what she was drawing, and just let her subconscious take control of the pencil.

Hearing the sound of laughter coming from the corridor, Eva glanced up, her heart began to race.

It was her tormentors, Matthew and his friends.

"Look who we have here." Matthew grinned as he entered the room, behind him was Mason, Kayden and the new student, Ryan.

"It's the ugly duckling." Kayden quiped.

"No, I'd prefer the Mute slave." Matthew chuckled, moving toward Eva.

A icy chill sank through her body.

"Can she talk?" One of the other guys asked, it was Ryan, who moved to the town a week ago.

Matthew shook his head. "We've never heard her speak before let alone utter a word." An evil glint swirled in his eyes. "Although we could try to see if she can or if she's really mute."

"Good idea." Kayden pipped, dropping his back pack on the floor.

"But first." Matthew said, locking the door behind him.

Panic flared in Eva's eyes. She shot up

From her seat and rushed to the door but Matthew stood infront of the door, blocking it.

Crossing his arms, his brown eyes flashed while taking slow steps toward her. "I can't let you go not until we have some fun with you." Matthew chuckled.

Eva's eyes widened with fear, her eyes

Darted around the room searching for an escape route. Her gaze zeroed in on the window. She could jump through the window and run as far away from these vile creatures.

Kayden followed her gaze, scowling at Eva. "Don't even think about it slave. You're surrounded, there's no way you can leave this room." He warned.

"Let's get on with it. I'm starting to get bored." Mason complained.

"What are you planning on doing?" Luke inquired.

Matthew grabbed Eva's arm, pulling her toward him. Eva tried to pry his hands off of her. "Don't." Matthew growled. "The more you fight me, the more pain you're going to feel."

Leaning in, he sniffed her. His rancid breath fanned her skin, making her skin crawl. "You smell good for a slave."

"Guys won't we get into trouble for hurting her?" Luke asked seeming reluctant to participate in whatever his friends were about to do.

Matthew scoffed. "Nobody cares about this tramp." He said, glaring at Eva with disdain. "Not even her own family. She's unwanted."

Matthew dragged Eva further into the room and threw her fragile body onto the floor making Eva wince.

Removing his shirt Matthew grinned evilly. "I'm going to show you guys how going to make her scream."

"Stop with the fake tears whore." Matthew sneered, yanking her hair.

"We know it's just an act so stop fucking pretending like you're innocent when we know what a slut you are."

Tears streamed out of her eyes, blurring her vision. She didn't want this.

She doesn't want her innocence taken by him. She had kept herself pure.

Eva shook her head vigorously, tears pouring down from her eyes. She tried to shout for him to stop but nothing came out.

"Grab her arms the both of you." He barked, his eyes darting to Luke and Kayden. "And don't let go until I tell you to." he instructed as he unbuckled his belt.

Kayden and Luke pinned her on the ground, on either side they both held her by her arms whilst Matthew knelt infront of Eva and ripping her top open.

Eva began trashing and kicking which got Matthew a little mad.

He slapped her making her head turn with so much force that she thought her neck would brake, and left blood to seep down her nose and mouth.

"You whore!" He snarled. "Behave and stop resisting." He slapped her again and again until she started to lose consciousness.

"After were done with you, you're going to be our little slave."

The door suddenly flew wide open.

A tall, muscular figure stood in the doorway, his breathing was ragged, his nostrils flared. His heated gaze landed on the helpless girl laying on the floor almost unconscious, his gaze then flickered to Matthew.

"Soren, what are you doing here?" Matthew sneered.

Soren didn't say anything but just stood there, breathing heavily, his gaze darkned and his fist clenched at his sides.

Matthew's eyes darted to his friends. "What are you all standing and gaping at. Get him out of here." he ordered.

Soren's eyes blazed with fury. Molten anger rolled through him. His gaze flickered to Eva, she was now curled up in the corner of the room, trembling like a leaf and something in his chest twisted. He hated seeing her crying, it made him angry.

Kayden was the first to lunge at him. Without wasting a second Soren punched him in his stomach, he groaned clutching his stomach.

The next was Mason, Soren yanked him by the back of his hair and began pounding his head against the desk.

Two of Matthew's friends were already on the floor. The only one left was Ryan, he looked like a frightened little kitten.

"Pl-please don't hurt me." He begged. "I didn't touch her."

Soren let out a dry chuckle. "But you stood and watched them hurt her which makes you an accomplice."

Soren grabbed Ryan by his collar. "Remember this is just a taste of what you will receive the next time if you dare lay a hand on her." He warned, his voice low and dangerous.

Before Soren could touch him, Ryan peed his pants. He swallowed, trembling in Soren's hold.

Soren scowled, shoving Luke aside." Fucking pig."

Matthew stood in the corner with wide eyes as his friends lay on the floor, hurt and bleeding.

Soren's heated gaze landed on him, his fists clenched as he rushed toward him.

He was done talking, he was done warning him over and over again to stay the away from her but Matthew doesn't seem to heed to his warnings.

Soren was burning with rage. He was going to teach Matthew a lesson.

"You!" Soren barked, wrapping his hand around Matthew's throat.

"I warned you didn't I?" He growled.

"I warned you if you hurt her one more time I will kill you and that's exactly what you did."

"No, you can't." Matthew choked out, clawing at Soren's hand.

"You can't kill me!" He challenged.

Soren let out a dark chuckle, his eyes darkening.

"What makes you think I can't?"

"My-my father's the mayor of this city and he will kill you!" Matthew sputtered, "Along with that filthy whore." he added.

Raw anger shot through him. His grip on Matthew's neck tightened. "What did you say?" He snarled, throwing Matthew's body across the room.

Before Matthew could get up from the ground, Soren roughly gripped the back of his shirt and rammed his head against the wall.

Blood began to splatter on the floor. Matthew was already unconscious and lost a lot of blood. Soren had no intentions of letting him go. He wanted him dead for what he did to Eva.

"What the hell is going on in here?" One of the teachers, Mrs Williams gasped.

Soren didn't stop, he continued.

"Soren!" The teacher yelled.

A few other teachers stepped in the room. They all had the same expression Mrs Williams had when she walked into the carnage.

"Let go of him now or else you're going to kill him," One of them yelled. They were too afraid to go anywhere near him.

Everyone feared Soren, teachers and students included well except for Matthew. He always liked to push Soren's buttons.

One of the teachers was gutsy enough to shove Soren aside. He rushed to Matthew who lay completely still on the ground, barely breathing.

"Is he alive?" Mrs Williams asked, concern etched her voice.

Mr Miller nodded, feeling Matthew's pulse on his neck.

Mrs Williams sighed, her gaze drifting to Soren who seemed dazed, his clothes were bloody and he looked disoriented. She stepped closer to him, touching his arm.

"Soren?" She called out, her voice low.

Soren snapped out of his reverie, running a bloody hand through his dark hair.

"Do you mind telling us what exactly happened in here?"

Soren glared at the woman which made her take a few steps back.

Soren exhaled, walking toward Eva. He crouched infront of her. Eva cowered, backing herself against the wall.

"Relax it's me." he said, his voice low and soft. Reaching out for her glasses on the floor, he slipped them on.

Eva adjusted her glasses and wiped her blotchy face. A sob wracked through her and Soren pulled her into his arms.

"Shhhh it's okay. I'm here, everything's going to be okay." He cooed, pulling Eva into his arms.
