Chapter 2 - CHAPTER - 2

My brother would never do something to hurt me!"

I yelled, grabbing my hair as tears streamed down my face, soaking into my clothes.

Rage exploded inside me. I swept everything off my desk—the files, the lamp, the monitor—watching them crash to the floor as if breaking them could silence the chaos in my head.

I stood there in the middle of my office, breathing hard, surrounded by the ruins of everything I had built. The shattered glass crunched beneath my shoes, each step echoing too loudly in the suffocating silence.

Outside, the city carried on like nothing had happened. Cars moved, people walked, lights flickered to life.

The same skyline that once made me feel powerful now felt like a cage closing in.

My chest rose and fell unevenly. I looked around—the broken screen, papers scattered everywhere, the mess that mirrored the storm inside me.

And then, slowly… a strange calm began to settle.

Like a fire that had burned everything to ashes, leaving behind nothing but emptiness.

I walked toward the window and stared through the cracked glass. The cool evening air brushed against my skin, but it did nothing to calm the heat boiling inside me.

My reflection stared back—distorted, broken.

A stranger.

My fists clenched, knuckles turning white.

This betrayal burned through my veins like poison. The trust I had placed in my brother… the faith I had in family—

All of it was a lie.

Adrian Blake's calm voice echoed in my head, repeating the same words again and again.

Something inside me snapped.

I slammed my fist into the glass.

Once.

Twice.

Again.

Blood spread across the jagged shards, dripping down in uneven lines.

I didn't stop.

I'll kill him…"

My voice was low. Empty.

I turned and walked out of the office.

I slammed the elevator button, my fingers trembling slightly.

My reflection stared back at me—torn shirt, sweat-covered skin, eyes dark and unrecognizable.

The doors slid open with a soft chime.

I stepped inside and punched the lobby button so hard it left a faint dent.
