Chapter 1 - Naruto: Fractured Prophecy

The rain never stopped in Amegakure.

Nagato sat upon his mechanical throne, the Rinnegan glowing faintly in the dim light. Before him, Naruto Uzumaki spoke of peace—of breaking the cycle of hatred. His words echoed with sincerity… but something felt wrong.

That night, as thunder cracked across the sky, Nagato collapsed into a vision.

He saw the future.

Konoha rebuilt.

Naruto smiling… but standing atop a mountain of unresolved hatred.

War still coming.

Suffering continuing.

And worst of all—

Naruto never truly fulfilled his promise.

Nagato awoke, breath heavy.

"Hope…" he whispered, "…is not enough."

The Choice

When Naruto returned the next day, ready to change Nagato's heart, he found something different.

Nagato listened. Calm. Silent.

Then he spoke:

"You will try to save everyone… and fail."

Naruto froze.

"I saw it. Your future. You ease pain—but you do not end it."

Konan stepped forward, confused. "Nagato…?"

But Nagato had already decided.

No Resurrection

Instead of using the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique…

Nagato let the fallen of Konoha remain dead.

Naruto watched in horror.

"Why?!" he shouted.

"Because death must have meaning," Nagato replied. "A false peace built on miracles will collapse again."

Naruto's belief shook for the first time.

The Transfer of the Rinnegan

In the shadows, a masked man watched.

Obito.

Nagato summoned him.

"I know who you are," Nagato said. "And I know your plan."

Obito tensed—but said nothing.

"You seek control through illusion," Nagato continued. "I seek control through reality."

Then, in a shocking act—

Nagato voluntarily gave the Rinnegan to Obito.

Not out of trust… but calculation.

"You will become the enemy the world unites against," Nagato said.

"And in that unity… a new order can be born."

Obito smirked. "You're gambling the world."

Nagato closed his eyes.

"I already have."

Return to Uzushio

Instead of dying, Nagato survived—barely.

With Konan, he left Amegakure behind.

Their destination:

The ruins of Uzushiogakure.

A forgotten land. A broken clan. A symbol of what the world discarded.

"There," Nagato said, "we will build something real."

A New Vision of Peace

Unlike Konoha, unlike Akatsuki—

Nagato's new nation was small.

Hidden.

Selective.

Only those who truly abandoned hatred were allowed in.

No great armies.

No alliances.

No dependence on the shinobi system.

Konan became its protector.

Nagato, its silent god.

They called it:

"The Quiet Land."

Naruto's Burden

Back in Konoha, Naruto carried a heavier weight.

The villagers he failed to save.

Nagato's rejection.

A promise… broken before it began.

And now—

A war was coming, led by Obito… empowered by the very eyes Nagato once used to judge the world.

Final Scene

Far away, in the rebuilt ruins of Uzushio…

Children laughed.

No war.

No missions.

No hatred.

Konan watched them, uncertain.

"Do you think this will last?" she asked.

Nagato looked at the peaceful land they built.

"No," he said quietly.

Then his Rinnegan-less eyes hardened.

"But for the first time… it is real."
