Chapter 114 - Chapter 114   Breakfast

"So, what's the story you came to talk about?"

Agetha switched the topic, saying that.

Come to think of it, I did come into this room mentioning I had something to talk about.

"I talked about it yesterday, right? The Observer told me that if it was determined the world has been saved, I'll be returned to the original time. So, even after a day, I haven't returned to the original time. I thought it might mean that the world is still on the brink of destruction."

"I see. Indeed, that possibility seems quite likely."

"But we defeated the Demon Lord Zoga, the root cause of the world's destruction. So, what could be the reason for the world's destruction?"

"There are still dangerous entities besides Demon Lord Zoga. The demonic forces under the Demon Lord are still present, and there's this mysterious organization called Chaosism."

"True, that's a good point."

Even though we defeated Demon Lord Zoga, it doesn't mean that this world has become peaceful.

"Hey, Agetha. If the world is on the verge of destruction, I want to prevent that. Will you cooperate with me?"

"I'm a hero. It's my job to save the world, so cooperating is a given, right?"

"I see."

If Agetha is willing to cooperate, that's a relief. After all, she is a hero.

"However, I wonder where we should start."

If we don't know the cause of the world's destruction, we can't come up with a plan.

"Agetha, do you have any idea about the cause of the world's destruction?"

"Well, for example, it could be those guys from the Chaosism. I don't know the specifics, though."

"I see."

In that case, it seems like we'll have to investigate diligently.

"Kiska, can I make a suggestion?"

"What is it?"

"I want to go somewhere with you, just for fun."

Fun, huh? I thought, is it really okay to do something so carefree when the world might be on the verge of destruction? However, being too tense isn't good either.

"Alright, let's go somewhere for fun."

"Yay!"

She said with joy.

After Agetha finished changing, we headed downstairs.

We heard that breakfast was prepared for us in the dining room on the first floor.

"Good morning."

"Ah, good morning. Nyau, are you having breakfast too?"

"Yes, that's right."

As we entered the dining room, Sage Nyau greeted us. There seemed to be something awkward about her demeanor. She glanced behind her.

Ah, I see.

Already seated at the table was Hero Eligion. Although he had been unconscious yesterday, he seemed to have recovered in a day and looked healthy.

"Good morning, Hero."

To be polite, I greeted him respectfully.

"Ah, good morning."

Hero Eligion returned the greeting, but his expression seemed tense.

"Hey, Agetha, say hello."

I quietly urged Agetha, who was standing behind me doing nothing.

"Hello."

Unbelievably, she said it without even making eye contact. Hey, he's not just anyone; he's a prince and the Hero. Show some respect. It's too rude. Just as I was about to apologize, at that moment—

"I've heard most of your circumstances from Sage Nyau," Hero Eligion began without reproaching Agetha's attitude. Thanks to that, I missed the timing to apologize.

"Is that so?" Once again, Agetha responded bluntly.

"There are various things I want to confirm with you, but first―"

Hero Eligion let out a sigh. What could he be about to say? What if he sentences me to execution with the authority of a prince? There are too many possibilities for execution.

"Thank you. On behalf of the citizens, I express my gratitude to you for defeating the Demon Lord."

Hero Eligion bowed earnestly. I widened my eyes in surprise. I hadn't expected to be thanked.

"Kiska, you also cooperated. Let me express my gratitude to you as well. Thank you."

"Uh, thank you."

On top of that, I was also thanked personally. I hastily bowed my head in return.

"Now then, would you mind explaining the details of this incident from your own perspective?" Hero Eligion said, looking at Agetha. Despite having heard the circumstances from Sage Nyau, it shouldn't be sufficient. It's only natural to ask for an explanation. With that in mind, I looked at Agetha.

"No way," she bluntly refused.

"You, don't refuse a request from Hero-sama!!" I hurriedly expressed my disapproval to Agetha. I hope this doesn't worsen Hero Eligion's mood.

"It's just a hassle."

"That's not an excuse! Properly explain it to Hero-sama!"

"Well, if Kiska says so, fine."

Although clearly disgruntled, she nodded, so I'll consider it a win.

"I apologize! I'll scold her later, so please forgive us."

"Ah, yeah, it's fine. No need to apologize."

It seems he has accepted the situation. Phew, Hero-sama is so kind.

"Well then, let's have breakfast while we talk," and so, the explanation to Hero Eligion began.
