Simona traced a slow, absent pattern on the wooden counter of the bar as she dialed Gideon's number. He answered it after a few rings.
"When are you allowing me to see Adeline, Your Highness?" Simona asked.
"Where are you?" Gideon inquired.
"At the same place," she answered.
"I'll send someone to pick you up," Gideon replied. "Thank you for your help in catching the culprit."
"You're welcome, Prince Gideon," she replied, a smile playing on her lips. "I honestly thought you would refuse to set up my meeting with Adeline."
"I keep my promises," Gideon replied. "I'll hang up now."
With that, he ended the call and glanced over at Adeline, who was watching him with an amused expression.
"Who is this woman?" she asked.
"Simona, a witch," Gideon asserted. "She knows who you are because she saw you back during your college days. She has wanted to meet you for quite some time, but I told her she had to help me secure Edmund first."
