Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : The Bored God's Wrath

The Throne Above the Void

Mr. Zedroxim had not moved in three million years.

But now, his fingers tapped the armrest of his throne.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Each tap sent ripples through the Archive – a forgotten anime frame flickering here, a cancelled protagonist waking from stasis there. The Nexus Arena hummed beneath him, still healing from the damage of three impossible fights.

Three fights. Three draws.

Zedroxim's mismatched eyes – gold and red – stared at the floating screens before him. Each screen showed a replay:

· Goku and Saitama, fist-bumping in a shattered void.

· Levi and Kenshin, sitting back-to-back, sharing water.

· Luffy and Naruto, lying on their backs, laughing.

"No victors," Zedroxim whispered. "No deaths. No obedience."

His voice was calm. That was the terrifying part.

---

The First Crack

An attendant appeared – a lesser entity, one of the Archive's forgotten narrators. It had no face, just a floating script of subtitles.

"Master. The Nexus integrity is at 87%. The draws are causing conceptual bleed. Characters from different stories are beginning to... remember each other."

Zedroxim tilted his head. "Remember?"

"They speak of the draws as if they were alliances. The pirate and the ninja have exchanged联系方式. The swordsmen have formed a pact not to kill. The bald one and the saiyan are training together."

Zedroxim's tapping stopped.

For a long moment, he was silent. The attendant's subtitles flickered nervously.

Then Zedroxim smiled.

Not a warm smile. Not a cruel smile. A smile that said: I have been bored for three million years, and finally, something interesting is happening.

"Interesting," he said. "They refuse to play my game. So I will change the game."

He stood.

The throne groaned – not from age, but from relief. Even the furniture hated staying still.

---

The New Rule

Zedroxim descended into the Nexus Arena. His form was still shifting – long coat, static-flesh, one gold eye, one red. He walked across the white void, and where his feet touched, the ground turned to black glass.

He raised his voice – not a shout, but a frequency that vibrated through every dimension, every anime frame, every character's bones.

"ATTENTION, FIGHTERS."

Across the Nexus, everyone stopped. Goku mid-bite of a rice ball. Saitama mid-yawn. Levi mid-polish of his blade. Kenshin mid-prayer. Luffy mid-chew of an imaginary meat. Naruto mid-sentence.

"You have amused me with your rebellions. Three draws. Three refusals to kill. You think you have beaten my system."

Zedroxim's voice dropped – colder, quieter, infinitely more dangerous.

"You have not."

He raised one hand. The black glass beneath him cracked, and from the cracks rose a new structure – a bracket, floating in the air, made of frozen timelines. Names appeared in burning script:

ROUND 2 MATCHUPS:

1. Goku (Dragon Ball) vs. Luffy (One Piece) – The Saiyan who seeks strength vs. The Pirate who seeks freedom.

2. Saitama (One Punch Man) vs. Naruto (Naruto) – The hero who is bored vs. The hero who never gives up.

3. Levi (Attack on Titan) vs. (TBD – Winner of Villain's Brawl)

4. Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin) vs. (TBD – Winner of Villain's Brawl)

And at the bottom of the bracket, a final note:

NEW RULE: NO DRAWS. IF BOTH FIGHTERS REFUSE TO KILL, THE NEXUS WILL ERASE BOTH.

Zedroxim's smile widened.

"Now," he said, "let's see how strong your friendship really is."

---

The Result: A Fractured Alliance

The fighters gathered – not together, but in separate pockets of the Nexus. They could feel each other's presence, see the bracket burning in the sky.

Goku looked at Luffy's name. Then at Luffy himself, who was staring back.

"Hey, rubber guy," Goku called across the void. "You're strong, right?"

Luffy grinned. "Strong enough to beat you!"

"I like him," Goku said to no one.

Saitama looked at Naruto's name. Naruto looked back.

"You're the ninja who glows," Saitama said.

"I'm the Hokage," Naruto corrected.

"Can you make me feel something?"

Naruto blinked. "What?"

"A punch. A real punch. Everyone I fight dies in one hit. You looked like you survived that pirate's final attack. Maybe you can survive mine."

Naruto's eyes narrowed. "I don't want to survive. I want to win without killing."

Saitama shrugged. "Then we have a problem."

Levi and Kenshin stood apart from the others, watching the bracket.

"Villain's Brawl," Levi read. "They're bringing in the monsters."

Kenshin's hand rested on his reverse blade. "I have fought many monsters. But these... these may not have hearts to reach."

Levi glanced at him. "Then we do what we always do. We cut."

Kenshin closed his eyes. "I pray it does not come to that."

---

Upcoming: The Villain's Brawl

Zedroxim's voice echoed one more time:

"Before Round 2 begins, the Nexus will host a special event. Four villains. One survivor. That survivor will face the winner of Levi vs. Kenshin."

The bracket shifted. Four names appeared:

· Frieza (Dragon Ball) – The Emperor of the Universe.

· Madara Uchiha (Naruto) – The Ghost of the Uchiha.

· Shigaraki Tomura (My Hero Academia) – The Symbol of Fear.

· Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan) – The Rumbling.

Zedroxim's laugh echoed across the void.

"Let them fight. Let them kill. Let them remind the heroes what real monsters look like."

The screens flickered. The villains' faces appeared – cold, cruel, or broken.

And somewhere in the Archive, a forgotten protagonist whispered: "This is how it ends."

---

Zedroxim's Private Moment

Back on his throne, alone, Zedroxim let his smile fade.

His reflection appeared in the black glass beneath him – a face he barely recognized. Not the boy from the cancelled anime. Not the god of the Archive. Something in between. Something lonely.

"They refuse to kill," he murmured. "Just like I refused to die when my show was cancelled."

He looked at his own hands – too many fingers, joints reversed, static crawling under the skin.

"Maybe that's why I chose them. Not the strongest. The stubbornest."

He leaned back. The throne creaked.

"If they keep refusing... if they beat my villains... if they find a way to break the Nexus..."

He closed his eyes.

"...maybe they can break me out of here too."

The black glass rippled. Somewhere, a fight began.
