Chapter 1 - Flames, Secrets, and Shadows

The entire school buzzed with energy.

After months of destruction caused by the devastating fire, everything had finally been restored. The rebuilt campus stood tall, almost as if it had erased the scars of the past. Students who had once left were returning, laughter slowly replacing the silence that once haunted the corridors.

To celebrate both the reopening and renewal, the school had announced its Annual Function on the very same day.

Everywhere, preparations were in full swing.

Ninth-grade students teamed up with juniors to prepare plays, dances, and musical performances. Separate groups were formed—seniors versus juniors—turning the celebration into an intense but exciting competition.

But behind all this excitement… tension quietly brewed.

Teachers were under immense pressure. The principal had strict expectations, and at the same time, they had to manage tiny children from LKG and UKG, handle new admissions, and give special attention to students from influential families—children of politicians, businessmen, and powerful figures.

In all this chaos, the troublemakers—the older, rebellious students—were being overlooked.

And that was dangerous.

---

Inside the principal's cabin, a serious meeting was underway.

Her voice was firm, sharp, and filled with concern.

"There will be no mistakes this time," she warned. "Not even a single incident."

Everyone knew why.

The school had already suffered multiple tragedies. Fires. Deaths. Cases still under investigation at the international level. One wrong move during the function… and the school's reputation would be destroyed forever.

The teachers listened carefully, tension written across their faces.

But they weren't the only ones listening.

Outside, a group of notorious ninth-grade students stood silently, absorbing every word.

Moments later, they rushed to deliver the information—to their leaders.

---

Lakshmi stood up the moment she heard everything.

Her expression turned serious.

"Call everyone," she ordered. "Every group under us. Right now."

Her voice carried authority.

"We've already warned them—no fights. But if anyone provokes us…" she paused, her eyes darkening, "we won't stay quiet."

Her group was known for their anger… but also for their intelligence.

"Most of our people are here on scholarships. Some are barely able to afford fees. If anything goes wrong, they'll be the first ones punished."

She took a deep breath.

"So stay alert. No mistakes."

As her words echoed in the air…

Something strange happened behind her.

A faint red glow flickered.

Four… five… small glowing fragments hovered in the shadows.

Slowly… they began merging.

One by one, they fused into a single, large, radiant gem—pulsating with an eerie energy.

---

Meanwhile…

In a quiet corner of the city, two siblings argued.

"You look ridiculous when you sulk like this," Praveen teased. "Like a monkey."

Anu glared at him. "Stop irritating me. Just go away."

"I'm not going anywhere," he replied, folding his arms. "Not until you calm down."

After a moment of silence, he softened.

"Fine… I admit you're right. But you know how Mom is," he said gently. "Still… seeing you like this doesn't suit you."

Anu's eyes shimmered with unshed tears.

"I don't care about her scolding," she whispered. "I just… want to feel like I belong somewhere."

Praveen smiled faintly.

"Who said you don't?" he stepped closer. "For me, you'll always be my little sister."

Then, dramatically striking a pose like a movie hero, he added,

"And I'm the one who loves you the most."

Anu couldn't help but smile.

Moments later, he pulled her into a tight hug.

"Never think you're alone. I'm always here."

She laughed lightly. "And who will handle Dad?"

"Lord Balaji will," he replied instantly.

Both burst into laughter.

And just like that… the heaviness faded into warmth.

---

But not all homes were filled with laughter.

In a dimly lit room, Annapurna sat silently, applying medicine to her wounds.

Her skin bore fresh burn marks—cruel reminders of her stepmother's brutality.

Nearby, her younger sister Trisha cried uncontrollably.

"This is all my fault…" she sobbed. "If I had taken the beating instead—"

Annapurna interrupted gently, forcing a small smile.

"It's nothing. Just a few scratches. They'll heal."

But her eyes told a different story.

---

Far away, deep inside a forest…

Rajendra stood before a massive cave.

Muttering ancient chants, he watched as a hidden door slowly creaked open.

Torches ignited on their own, lighting up the darkness.

Inside… bones lay scattered everywhere.

Death lingered in the air.

He walked deeper until he reached a split path—and chose the first.

There, on the wall, were nine portraits.

Young faces. Around sixteen to twenty years old.

Below them… nine keys.

Each glowing in a different color—red, blue, yellow, white, grey…

Rajendra stared at them, troubled.

"What am I supposed to do with these…?"

His voice echoed.

"The girl threw these at me before she disappeared into the fire…"

His thoughts spiraled.

"If the second door opens… what will come out this time?"

Suddenly—

His phone vibrated.

A call.

"The second gate is under attack," a voice said urgently. "A girl… with dark powers… she's trying to break it."

Before Rajendra could respond, the call disconnected.

His heart raced.

"Who is she…?"

Without wasting a second, he rushed out of the cave and drove toward the location.

---

Elsewhere…

In a quiet bungalow, an older woman watched the news.

The screen showed interviews about the school incident.

She whispered softly,

"You all left… now who will save them this time?"

Just then, a visitor arrived.

Rajendra.

Their conversation revealed a chilling truth—

The past wasn't over.

The fire… the deaths… the sacrifice of nine individuals…

Everything was connected.

"They will return," Rajendra said.

"Reborn."

---

That same night…

In a deserted alley, two girls walked cautiously.

Footsteps followed them.

A group of boys emerged, blocking their path.

"Stay away from Saraswati College," one of them sneered. "Or you won't live to regret it."

Annapurna stepped forward calmly.

"Done threatening?" she said coldly. "Now leave."

The boys laughed.

"You think you can fight us?"

She cracked her knuckles.

"I don't think," she said. "I know."

One of them charged.

In a swift motion, she twisted his arm, threw him to the ground, and kicked him hard.

The laughter stopped.

Silence fell.

The fight had just begun.
