Dymon didn’t give his question much thought.
But he immediately had to retrace what he had just asked.
Zahid’s response was nothing of the expected.
“……”
Zahid remained silent.
With his lips tightly wound shut, he stared at Dymon with unblinking eyes.
Light turbulence overtook his violet eyes like ripples in the water.
The turbulence did not last for long, however, and calmed back down like the surface of a silent lake.
On top of his blank, expressionless face bloomed a picturesque grin.
His round, smooth lips leaked a velvety sweet voice.
“…… How did you know?”
Dymon instinctively took in a deep breath.
It is true that he has been by Zahid’s side ever since Zahid was a small kid, but in moments like these, dealing with situations like these always felt like walking on thin ice.
Doing all that he could to not get overridden with fear, Dymon responded calmly.
“It was a mere observation, sire. Her Grace seems to be on your mind a lot these days.”
“I see.”
