A beam of light fall on me from the near window on the wall.
The light woke me up and I blink for few time as I realized that I am a living thing. I saw my little hand and stood up to see the surrounding from window.
I went to the window but as I reach, I heard someone voice. It was familiar to me. The voice was calm.
"Hey... What are you doing"
The voice was of the boy or I could say my one and only friend.
"Umm... Nothing"
He was looking at me with a smile which made me happy.
"look it's a butterfly", He said pointing towards it by the little window.
"Isn't it beautiful"
"Yay", I said agreeing with him
Suddenly in that moment the butterfly started coming towards the window
"Hey, it's coming towards us" , he said with a excitement in his eyes
The butterfly was flying towards us but as soon as it reaching towards us it's wings started to burn suddenly and it collapsed on the ground.
It's was burning alive but it was just a hollogram produced by the high authority to give us a reality check that we are just like it.
A butterfly whose wings will burn if it will disobey.
Seeing the situation of butterfly my friend started to cry due to his soft heart. In that moment my mind was blank and as I saw my friend crying, I was also feeling to cry but suddenly a deep voice came.
" experiment #12 and #16 , stop crying!"
It was guards who came to check on us. He was one of the elite class and was telling us to stop crying by behind the bars.
"You two are just slaves, so stop crying. You don't have any right to show emotions" he said with irritation and frustrated tone showing us cruelty.
Suddenly a beep sound came with a announcement
"beep-beep-beep , all elites gather in meeting hall we have emergency. "
"Ah.., what now. You two shut up"
He then left us weeping
"Why... Why we are only one suffering Why....",He said still crying with sadness and mental stability.
"Don't cry... It just because we are the only one who survived and it just our fate "
As I said something inside me broke which was still holding me out and I also cried with him.
We both went crying and we eventually sleep
