/POP Theto/
Theto's gaze swept across the village, cold and unfeeling.
"Lowborns," he muttered, voice icy. "Always showing their worst. Everything they do… selfish."
He clenched his fists, a dangerous fire burning in his eyes."I will create a world… where the lowborn do not exist.A world where people live without exploiting one another…Humans are never satisfied. They have everything, yet they still want more."
"No… no! You're going the wrong way again!"
Lyer's voice pierced the air, trembling yet resolute. She lunged at him, her movements a strange mix of grace and chaos—cute yet deadly. Cheeks puffed, gasping for breath as she tried to get through to him, eyes ablaze with frustration.
He didn't even flinch.
[Why is this girl so annoyingly cute? What a stupid stain… I've never met anyone like her.] Theto sneered."You're an ugly stain. Get out of my sight."
Lyer's fists clenched. "No. I'll stop you… no matter what it takes!"
How had Theto met this "stupid stain"?
It had happened on a mission for the Demon King. A strange village, a single goal: eliminate the Stain of Light.
He had chosen to go alone, confident. After all, he reasoned, the Stain would be weak.
/POP Lyer/
Meanwhile, Lyer moved through her day with purpose, helping villagers, spreading devotion to the God of Life. Each follower she gained made the God stronger. Each prayer, each act of kindness, brought them one step closer to the ultimate goal: amassing enough power to destroy the Demon King.
She was not alone. Her party included heroes and loyal followers, each bound to her cause.
Xana, one of the heroes, nursed feelings for her—but Lyer did not return them. She found Xana selfish, more interested in amassing a harem than saving the world.
The party arrived at a small village. Hunger and scarcity were etched into every face. Yet the villagers, generous despite their own suffering, offered the little they had to Lyer and her team.
Yesterday, Xana and the others had unleashed nearly all their power in battle, nearly destroying the village in their attempt to slay a few demons. And yet, the villagers remained, their faith unbroken.
