Nedo was lost in deep thought. [Is she from the future, or does she really know about my past? Second… why can't I remember my life before meeting the demon? Third… the demon said this is just a dream — so I have to wake up by my own choice?]
Neho whispered, "I can feel it. My instinct tells me we should kill her immediately."
Nedo replied, "You appeared at the right time… to push me to make a choice, my friend. But we need to kill her — she's annoying, and she makes me feel weak."
Neho nodded. "Don't worry, my friend. Let me borrow your body this time."
"Yes," Nedo said. "I trust you."
Suddenly, a knife appeared. The girl held it with both hands, raising it high, aiming straight at Nedo's head. Nedo closed his eyes.
In a sad voice, she whispered, "Goodbye, my annoying brother."
Before the knife could touch him, Nedo opened his eyes — now glowing red. Blood ran from his eyes, giving him a terrifying, otherworldly appearance. Summoning every ounce of his life force, he used both hands to block the knife.
The girl hissed, "Die… or… be mine?"
Nedo's voice trembled, sad yet resolute: "Goodbye, my sister… Nado."
Even though he didn't fully remember her, his mouth spoke the truth of his heart.
The fight continued. Nado attacked relentlessly, determined to kill him. As she struck, Nedo finally whispered her name: "Nado…"
She froze, shocked, as if struck by lightning. Her body stiffened. Then, tears ran down her face. "I'm… sorry," she cried. "I was forced to do this… but I really love you, brother."
Nedo felt tears on his own cheeks. He didn't remember her fully, but he knew… he truly loved his sister.
Exhausted, ready to give up, he recalled the demon's words: "Wake up… and make your choice."
He hadn't found his answer yet. Summoning all his remaining life force, he pushed forward, fighting back with everything he had. His body screamed in exhaustion, but he refused to surrender.
"Thanks, my friend," Nedo whispered.
"At least we didn't give up on the dream," Neho replied.
"Yes… hah… I don't want an afterlife. Really… really… farewell, this stupid dream…"
