Karuhi was sleeping on Brian's bed. I had put her there as his bed was a lot cleaner. At least his bedsheets didn't feel sticky like mine, which I blamed Senne for—leading to a momentary sulk at the corner.
I wanted to ask Karuhi what exactly she was 'investigating' in my area, but after the hellish experience the devil unleashed upon us, we were both too exhausted to talk.
Back in my room, I also lay in my bed listening to the storm outside. It was already close to seven o'clock. I was hungry, but Brian wasn't back yet. I sent him messages but they were left unread. I was starting to get a little concerned, but I just thought if Brian wasn't able to check my messages, he must have had good reasons, like, actually busy doing something worthwhile.
