Iris killed the other three Zombies and looked at her Status Panel, her eyes glowing with anticipation.
"Three more Level 1 Zombies and I'll be able to Level Up." She looked at Mark with an anxious expression and spoke.
Mark nodded calmly and continued walking toward the University Auditorium.
Iris followed him eagerly, glancing at his profile every now and then, her face slightly flushed.
The others followed them, impressed by Mark's strength. No one there expected that one day they would have to rely on the help of the ugliest man in the University—or the entire City—to survive.
As they walked, many Common Zombies of Level 1, 2, and 3 attacked them with ferocity and hunger.
Mark did not hesitate and immobilized most of the Zombies for Iris, who killed them with a radiant expression of joy.
In a short time, she advanced to Level 3, slightly increasing her total strength.
After helping her advance to Level 3, Mark stopped and began killing the Zombies himself to Level Up. Iris didn't dare feel even slightly upset; she knew very well that Mark was the strongest among them.
It would also be completely ungrateful of her to feel annoyed with him after all the help Mark had given her by helping her Level Up quickly and safely.
"Um... Mark, why the hell do you always get Survivor Boxes when you kill the Zombies, while I haven't received any?" Iris asked with a very dissatisfied expression.
Mark smiled and shrugged: "I guess my luck is much higher than yours..."
"Show-off!" Iris stuck her tongue out at him and rolled her eyes.
"I'm just being realistic."
"You!"
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
They joked for a bit but stopped when they heard the loud sounds of collisions, roars, and fierce snarls.
Alex and the others heard the sounds and turned pale, their bodies tense and their hearts beating very fast with fear and anxiety. Iris bit her lower lip hard and followed Mark with mechanical steps.
They approached the sounds and saw a large number of Zombies surrounding the entrance to the Auditorium, striking the large double doors with their sharp claws while roaring loudly.
"There are so many..." Iris paled, her small, voluptuous body trembling.
Alex and the others also stayed shocked and horrified; they wanted to run away badly, but they didn't dare leave Mark's side, which would surely result in their deaths.
"Take care of them, I'm going to play a little." Mark whistled with a relaxed smile and walked toward the Zombies with confidence.
Iris widened her eyes in shock and grabbed his arm: "No! There are hundreds, you..."
"Relax, watch me handle them in less than a minute!" Mark rolled his eyes and gently pulled her hands off his arm.
He then walked toward the large group of Common Zombies with a calm expression and began tapping the tip of his Steel Baseball Bat against the ground without using much force.
Tinnkkk!
Tinnkkk!
Tinnkkk!
Tinnkkk!
The sounds of steel colliding with the ground echoed through the area, causing most of the Zombies gathered around the Auditorium entrance to look toward the sound with their dull but still fierce eyes.
Roar!
Roar!
The Zombies roared furiously and charged at Mark in a thundering rage and hunger.
"Amplify – All Attributes by 5x!" Mark thought in his mind and smiled from ear to ear as he felt the enormous power coursing through his body.
Ding!
[All Attributes increased by 500% temporarily!]
He laughed out loud and dashed toward the Zombies, his eyes shining with excitement.
To his eyes, all these Zombies were actually Experience Points!
Mark turned into a blur, shocking Iris and all the others who couldn't even see him move from his spot before seeing him right next to the Zombies.

The totally one-sided massacre began, with the heads of several Zombies being blown to pieces.
Iris and the others watched the massacre with pale faces and stunned looks. No one there could believe they would one day see a human being wielding such power—something that should never have been possible before the Apocalypse.
While the others watched, Mark was having a lot of fun with the slaughter. Never in his entire life did he think he would one day be wielding so much power and also receiving looks of admiration from beautiful women.
To others, the Apocalypse is a terrible nightmare, but for Mark, the Apocalypse is his greatest opportunity to become something far beyond just another person in the crowd.

[You Leveled Up!]
[+1 Point to all Attributes, +50 Mana Points, and +100 Spiritual Energy Points.]
Mark killed all the Zombies in less than thirty seconds, leaving Iris and the others deeply shocked and euphoric to have someone so monstrous protecting them.
"He... he is so incredible!" Iris clenched her small fists and murmured in a low voice, her cheeks red with excitement and joy.
The other girls in the group looked at Mark, standing in the middle of many headless corpses, with evident shock and admiration in their expressions.
With the Internet still working, it is very easy to get much of the information about what is happening at this exact moment around the world. Many already know that the countries' armies are being decimated and many nations have already fallen.
At the moment, the only means of protection are the Awakened—human beings who have awakened powers devastating enough to stand firm against the Zombies and other Monsters.
Mark smiled from ear to ear, satisfied with having Leveled Up twice. He quickly opened his Status Panel and nodded with satisfaction.

After closing the Status Panel, Mark collected all the Survivor Boxes and stored them in his Spatial Storage.
"Let's go." He looked at Iris and the others and called to them before walking toward the Auditorium entrance with a relaxed expression and shining eyes.
Although nauseated by the sight of the corpses and blood scattered on the floor, Iris and the others followed him without hesitation.
Arriving in front of the Auditorium door, Mark tapped it twice with his Steel Baseball Bat: "Open up, I've already dealt with the Zombies out here."
Silence echoed for a few seconds until a trembling voice echoed from inside.
"Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter who I am. If you don't open this damn door in three seconds, I'm going to rip it off." Mark's expression turned very cold; he snorted coldly and threatened.
With his powerful hearing, he could hear several people arguing inside the auditorium—some wanted to open the door for Mark and the others, but others did not.
Mark's eyes flashed coldly; he activated the Supreme Amplification Talent and prepared to force the door open, but he stopped the next instant and widened his eyes.
