Its been 6 weeks since Garret reincarnation he and his siblings could now move around and actually see colors it turn out they lived in an Area native to the old world the bamboo forest they lived in a small grassland outside it's on the outskirts of the bamboo forest their pack was huge six zinogre strong it was like their paradise they had their own little watering hole but not everything was so good 3 lunagaron had constantly tested the pack and since their dad was the leader he had to deal with it almost all the time one day a bazelguese had blown over there a little sanctuary and started dropping scales it wasn't for the yian garuga that crashed into it they probably would've already moved away by now.
Aside from that today was special they were going to bond with the thunderbug's there was another reason they stayed instead of migrating was because they had managed to cultivate enough thunderbugs to build a hive and since they were now three weeks old they would bond with their own thunderbugs and they would grow up side-by-side until death then the thunder bugs would disperse and find a new host thus was the way of life the Thunder bug nest was onto of A rock formation that looked like pride rock from Lion king.
As Garrett and his siblings climbed up to top of the formation with the help of their mother Garret sister was going first she whimpered and howled in a sort of pain as she and the thunder bugs officially formed a bond then came the rest of his siblings some of them weren't strong enough to tolerate the pain and would try again later now it was Garrett's turn as he stepped up to the mound of mud and pebbles suddenly little glowing bugs flew out and started digging in his fur and delivering static shock he was in pain but was barring it Who is currently trying hard not to roll around and crush the thunder bugs as the pain started getting to him something in his instincts snaps as he makes a howl nearly the strength of a adolescent zinogre.
Startling both his parents and the zinogre who heard it they looked curiously as Garrett claw slammed into the stone the electricity crackled around him his bond was in full effect as Garrett regain his composure he felt refreshed he was 4th to actually complete the symbiosis bond Twins two of his siblings would have to try another time now their mother would spend time teaching them how to harness their newfound friends taking refuge on their bodies.
On the outskirts of the bamboo forest Garret mother was gathering the electrical charge from the thunder bugs on her body and the ones casually flying around the area before leaping forward while slamming her hand into the ground sending electricity shooting around and into the air vaporizing bamboo she looked at all six of her pups first Garret turn he closed his eyes thinking of how it worked he assumed he had to force them into a certain part of his body so he could do the attack deciding to try that method first he reversed to get a little Head start before charging forward as fast as he could and he howled while extending his claw as he slammed into a bamboo he sliced it into pieces yet electricity didn't strike.

Meanwhile they were taking their goes Garrett was still trying to figure out the secret unless he couldn't treat them like tools in order to test his theory Garret walked up the multitude of bamboo growing out of the ground he closed his eyes and trusted the bugs then started shaking his body getting static build up before charging forward and by his trust in his symbiotic friends electricity surged as he brought down multiple sticks of bamboo suddenly a lone jagras looking for mosswine Heard a weird breaking sound is it turn towards its left it's eyes widened as it made a startled growl before being steamrolled by a ball of charging lightning?.
Garret then made a almost immediate U-turn as the jagras we recovered it heard more lightning as it turned to its right it's eyes widened as it growled a second time before getting genuinely steam rolled again Garret stood why zinogre barely used their lightning attacks not only was it stamina draining but it required static build up from physical and blunt attacks The process of getting the static charge by itself was already hard Because not only did you have to engage and come back but hunters themselves rarely use blunt weapons such as Hammers.
After practicing a bit more and Bring his thunder strike attack down they would rest up and in the morning their mother would take them practice hunting hunting to awaken their hunting instincts which was a very crucial thing to learn early on in this world were monsters capable of causing calamities just by existing World elder dragons were no joke specially those that embodied concepts like teostra and lunastra with fire or velkana with ice or concepts that have long lasting effects on the environment like chamleos poison or kushala daora wind casually generating tornadoes and attacks of such magnitude.
In a world like this your species either had to be able to adapt to far and wide places or be strong enough that you we're considered formidable enough to even exist that was the cool world of monster hunter and all of its existence but then again that was the irony of it right becoming a beast so feared that you had to be considered a monster poetic in a sense if you understand it.
