Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Pressure That Could Not Be Ignored

The battlefield didn't move.

It reacted.

For the first time since the five enforcers had arrived, there was a pause—not because the fight had ended, but because something had shifted in a way none of them could ignore.

Rahim stood at the center, his presence no longer expanding outward like raw power, but settling into something far more controlled. It wasn't overwhelming in the traditional sense. It didn't crush everything around him.

It defined it.

The space itself felt… aligned.

Not with the system.

With him.

One of the enforcers stepped forward, its expression unchanged, but its movements more cautious than before.

"You have crossed into unauthorized evolution," it said, its voice calm but precise. "Your existence is now categorized as unstable."

Rahim exhaled slowly, his gaze steady.

"Then stabilize me."

The enforcer didn't respond to the sarcasm. Instead, the five of them moved at once, forming a perfect formation around him. Their presence didn't spike—it synchronized.

That was the difference.

Rahim felt it immediately.

This wasn't brute force.

This was control.

System-level control.

The space tightened.

Not violently, but deliberately, like invisible walls closing in from every direction. The battlefield didn't break—it adapted to their authority.

Rahim flexed his fingers slightly.

"…You're trying to rewrite the rules again."

"Correction," another enforcer replied. "We are restoring them."

The pressure increased.

This time, it wasn't something he could simply ignore. His movements slowed, just slightly, but enough for it to matter. Even his connection to the surrounding space felt… interrupted.

That hadn't happened before.

Rahim's eyes narrowed.

"So this is your real method."

He took a step forward anyway.

The resistance was immediate.

Like pushing against something that didn't want him to exist there at all.

The enforcers attacked.

Not all at once.

Not recklessly.

One moved.

Fast.

Rahim raised his hand, intercepting the strike just before it reached him. The impact still forced him back several meters, the ground beneath him fracturing under the pressure.

But he didn't fall.

Instead, he smiled.

"…Better."

Because for the first time in a long time—

He wasn't completely in control.

And that meant—

He could grow.
