Ed didn't know how he ended up with two crazy lunatics. Their enthusiasm was on a next level.
"Let's get inside," Ed said as he moved to the door and unlocked it.
KKrck!
Ed twisted the key in the lock, and it made a satisfying click sound. A moderate room greeted them as the group entered. Two bunk beds on both sides, along with a small table on each side.
"Its not bad, compared to my shabby home!" Evans laughed as he scanned the room.
"Man, you call your home shabby? You're ungrateful, you know that?" Raelith said, pointing his finger at Evans with a furrow in response, Evans feigned ignorance.
'Its better than I imagined,' Ed thought. Back home, Ed lived with his family of four, and he didn't have his own room; the family would have to share because of a financial crisis.
As they were done settling their bags and other stuff, such as sorting the room, a knock was heard on the door.
"Who could it be?" Evans said and opened the door as he was the closest.
"Hope I didn't disturb you. Just to inform you that make sure to let us know at the end of the day, which classes you would like to take as classes would begin from the next day." On the door, there stood a young man with dark circles under his eyes, revelation to working late shifts. Aside from that, they had red hair and wore a staff uniform.
Evans shared a look with Ed and Raelith and replied politely.
"Understood, we'll fill in the form as soon as possible."
'Class enrollment, huh. As a swordsman i'd like to join combat, I need knowledge about Souls and this world power system' Ed pondered.

Later that day, when Ed was on his own, walking in the hallway, a sheepy voice tore through.
"Please, let me go…I'll make sure to pay up!!" It was a boy with messy hair and glasses, trembling with fear
"How many times have you repeated this, huh, Jin? You think you can fool me, right?" A boy twice the size of Jin barked. He had violet hair and emerald green eyes. Beside him were two more boys. One had a horse face, black hair, and the other had a twisted jaw with orange hair.
Ed watched the scene unfold from side-ways and he didn't want to get involved, knowing he could make enemies of them. On a closer look, Ed noticed Jin had a key resembling his own, which meant he was the last roommate they thought wouldn't come soon, but he was closer than they thought.
'I really hate such cliche development, but can't help it, he's one of our class-mate' Ed wasn't a pushover, but he wasn't that kind of person to abandon someone in danger.
The towering framed one threw a punch toward Jin, but it stopped just before Jin's face. It wasn't the man himself, but an external force that made him halt. It was Ed who stepped in just before it could hit Jin.
"Who the hell are you? Don't interfere,e wannabe hero fucker" he barked,d and rage was visible on his features.
"I'm not an outsider; he is one of our dorm-mates. Let him go," Ed spoke in indifference as he tightened his grip on the arm.
"I'm the mighty Azek, don't underestimate me!!!" He shouted in an instant. Azek's arm flared with flames, coating his whole arm, now burning. He had used his ability and threw a fast-paced punch toward Ed.

The system issued a quest Ed didn't expect. It made Ed grin.
'How sweet, I guess I don't have to wait long for an ability, huh?' Ed mumbled inwardly.
But the punch missed its mark. Ed dodged and countered with his own, but it lacked the same firepower; it did damage to some extent. Ed was in great disadvantage; he fought with his fist while his opponent used supernatural abilities, which Ed had yet to master.
"That puny punch isn't enough to bring me to my knees, sure it can deal damage, that's all there is," Akek said as he readied another devastating punch.
'Do I use 'blood torment' here? No, that's too risky,y" Ed soon discarded the idea as he still didn't know the true origin of his "Blood Torment" and to top it off, if he lost control, he might become a murderer, which he didn't want.
'I must use spirit energy to power my fist if I cannot use my abilities,' He thought. When he transmigrated, his system had filled him with information about the power system, thus Ed could now utilize that knowledge.
His fist glowed violet as spirit energy coiled around his arms and fist. It continued to coat until it completely enveloped his arm. For a F-rank like Ed, that was all he could do,o but that was plenty to stand against someone like Aket, who was a masculine head with no brains. Unlike ordinary people, Ed had SSS+ Spirit Energy riserve which meant he could do much more than throwing hands, still be at top state.
"That's Spirit Energy, so you decided to go offense, huh?h" Aket laughed, and in the next moment, he was just before Ed and punched, with no time to dodge; he crossed both of his arms in a defensive stance.
Fwosssk!
Burning flame erupted as the fist clashed against Ed's, and despite blocking, he had been pushed quite a distance.
"You blocked that well," Akek said, but Ed remained silent and answered with his own Spirit Energy-charged Punch.
Flaming fist clashed against Spirit energy Fist.
Boom!
Ed Overwhelmed Azek and struck with another punch straight to his face. The force sent Aket Crashing in the distance. Immediately, Azek stood up, blood trickling from his nose.
"You son of a bitch!!!" Azek cursed when he saw his own blood. Azek clearly had underestimated; he didn't consider Ed to be stronger than him. The best he expected was for Ed to be his equal or below. Now Azek's expression bore rage, and he was Ready to go all out.
But in that moment, a crushing pressure on his left shoulder descended.
