Lifting his brows, he asked, "How come?"
"If I want to give something willingly, how come that will be counted as a sacrifice?" he replied.
"Wait... so you don't feel like someone is forcing you to sacrifice anything?"
"Why would I need someone to force me to give something to Master and my home?"
'Just how loyal has he become to feel this obligated?' Left speechless, Kael just nodded his head.
'Sheesh! I don't have enough information to deduce what is going on, and it's not like there is any problem at the moment, so let's keep the questions to a minimum until it begins to influence me in a bad way.'
Still knowing it was a bad way of thinking, he moved back to the panel and began selecting the monster to summon.
[Monster Available: [Goblin]]
[Due to an insufficient number of core signatures, the master can't summon beings of other races. Please collect more cores to increase the types of beings you can summon.]
'So, it's like Pokémon, and I have to collect all sorts of monsters… huh! Let's see what we have in hand first.' Anticipating what sort of list would come here, Kael clicked on it.
A moment later, a list appeared full of names. And beside each name was a figure. In the figure, one could see how the monster would look after being summoned and the weapons they would be using.

Kael was expecting a big list, but contrary to his thoughts, it was small compared with the options he had gotten from the Guardian creation token. Still, it was enough for him.
'Well, I can work with this.' Thinking, he began clicking and tried to understand about them from the little information the description provided.
[Goblin Runt: An undersized, weak goblin usually bullied by the rest of the tribe. Its weak body can slip through tiny cracks and evade heavy blows.]
[Adult Goblin: A standard, fully-grown goblin with basic survival and combat skills. It gains an attack bonus when surrounding an enemy.]
[Goblin Scavenger: A goblin specialized in picking the battlefield clean. It detects hidden items and weak points in armor.]
One by one, he began reading every name on the list. While doing so, he explained the monster's description to his only subordinate as well.
As Kael was doing this, he came to a shocking realization. 'This little shit is good at absorbing information and processing it… too good, in fact. Is he a genius of some sort?'
Musing about the opinion the little demon was giving, Kael began to have second thoughts about the initial formation of the monsters he had thought about.
After a while, when both of them had read and understood the descriptions and even the specialty of each monster, they began to have a debate about how to create a team of them.
"We at least agree that a 100-unit of goblin warriors is a must," Kael asked, raising his brows.
"Yes, I agree with that… and now that you have chosen the first floor's terrain as a forest, I would like to at least add 30-50 archers in the mix," Lucian replied along with a suggestion.
"Don't you think thieves will be better for this scenario? I mean, they have a really good stealth build, and if we attack from the backside, we can catch the intruders by surprise. The bleed effect applied to their attacks is no joke as well."
"No, I don't think this is a good idea, Master. This is a new dungeon, and the intruders will be entering here for the first time. If they had already entered the dungeon a few times, we could use their knowledge against them, but as they would be entering the dungeon for the first time, they would be wary of everything. And in times like this, I don't think anyone is stupid enough to leave their back wide open like that," Lucian explained without taking a single break in between.
"I agree with that, but don't you think the synergies between the passive of the dungeon and theirs are really great to miss on this opportunity?" Kael tried to persuade his own guardian.
"That would be good. But no more than 5, Master, and we would summon around 35 archers. How is that?" he made a counteroffer.
"I wanted to add more thieves, but I suppose I can work with it." Enjoying his victory moment, he looked at Lucian, and to his surprise, he could see a little grin on his face.
'Was he planning to do this from the beginning? No, that can't be true, he is still a child.' Scoffing it off, he moved on to the next topic.
"What about mages?" Lucian asked.
"10 will do, I think."
Lucian nodded, and after a while, all the preparation was completed with just one last selection.
"What do you think about the champion?" Pausing, Kael added, "Their ability to remove crowd control is a massive advantage, and the buffs they provide are great as well. They can be used as tanks and DPS as well."
To make the conversation progress smoothly, Kael had already explained to him about the game's terminology. So, instead of normal words, he was using the game slang.
"That is right, Master. I'm tempted to add them as well, but their restriction is making me have second thoughts. What if they didn't perform as we expected without the king?" sighing, Lucian added.
Nodding his head, Kael remembered the description of the Goblin Champion.
[Goblin Champion: The absolute strongest warrior of the horde. It is an unstoppable force, immune to all crowd control, traps, and stuns. A champion needs the presence of a king to show their full potential.]
'These descriptions are full of ambiguity. What does potential here mean... The potential of its strength, its future self, or how it will behave…' Clicking his tongue, he looked at the price for summoning a Goblin King. It was a whopping 500 dungeon points, something he can't afford at the moment.
"We can't summon a King. It is clear that it didn't have a good battle advantage, and we absolutely need that if we want to survive the first wave," Kael added.
"Exactly my thought, Master."
Nodding, they went back to their talking, and an hour later, they had finalized the formation.
"So we have 100 Warriors, 5 Thieves, 35 Archers, 10 Scouts, 2 Warlords, 10 Mages, 1 Goblin Matriarch. Total, this will cost us 990 Dungeon points. We have 10 points left… what should we do with this, Master?" Lucian asked.
"I will summon a blacksmith." With this, all the preparation ended, and Kael thought about summoning the monsters.
[Do you want to spend 1000 Dungeon Points to summon the following monsters:
100 Warriors
5 Thieves
35 Archers
10 Scouts
2 Warlords
10 Mages
1 Goblin Matriarch
1 Goblin Blacksmith]
[Yes/No]
Kael nodded, and a golden light enveloped the area surrounding the room.
