Kevin said, "Hey beautiful, by the way, you didn't tell me how you liked my house."
Sara replied, "I really liked your house, and to be honest, along with the house, I also liked the people in your family a lot—especially Eva. I feel like I've formed a special connection with her. She's very sweet."
Kevin smiled and said, "Hey beautiful, if you don't mind, can I say something too?"
He gently held Sara's cheeks, lightly pulling them, and said, "You're very cute too."
Sara smiled, blushed a little, and said, "Thank you so much for your compliment."
Then she added, "We've talked a lot now. I think you need some rest. Let me show you your room so you can relax for a while."
Doctor Kevin then helped Sara into a wheelchair and took her to her room.
"Look, Sara, this is your room. I hope you like it."
Sara smiled and said, "This room is very lovely. I like it a lot."
Doctor Kevin helped Sara lie down on the bed and said, "If you need anything, just call out. Someone will hear you and help you, okay?"
He gently placed his hand on her head, caressed her, and said in a slightly strict tone like a teacher, "Now sleep peacefully. I don't want any arguments, okay?"
Sara listened to him and soon fell asleep.
After some time, Sara opened her eyes and saw Eva crawling into the room. Eva had a smile on her face, as if her eyes were searching only for Sara. Seeing her, Sara became instantly happy—just like a small child who sees ice cream.
Sara happily called her, "Hi cutie, come here."
But then Sara's eyes fell on a vase placed above Eva, which was slowly about to fall.
Sara tried to tell Eva to move back, but she was just an 8-month-old baby and couldn't understand anything. The most worrying thing was that Eva sat right there and started playing.
Sara shouted, "Help! Is anyone there? Can someone hear me?"
She called out many times, but no one heard her.
Meanwhile, the vase was slowly slipping and was about to fall on Eva's head. Seeing this, Sara panicked. She didn't understand what to do, except that she had to save Eva at any cost.
Sara tried to get off the bed. She couldn't walk properly or even move her body well. As she got down, she fell and got hurt. But at that moment, her injury didn't matter—only saving Eva mattered.
Sara started crawling on the floor towards Eva. Slowly, she reached very close to her, and at the same time, the vase above Eva's head came dangerously close to falling.
Just as it was about to fall, Sara pushed herself forward and reached Eva, covering her with her own body to protect her.
At that very moment, the vase fell on Sara.
Sara was badly injured. Glass pieces from the vase pierced deeply into her back. She writhed in pain and fear, as if her life was slipping away. The pain was unbearable.
Hearing the sound of the vase breaking, Doctor Kevin and his family rushed in. Kevin's mother picked up Eva, while Sara lay on the floor, crying and writhing in pain.
Kevin immediately ran to Sara and carefully lifted her onto his shoulder, making sure her back didn't get more injured because of the glass pieces.
There was a lab in Kevin's house, so he rushed Sara there and laid her down.
The pain was so intense that Sara lost consciousness.
Now Kevin had to remove the glass pieces from her back. But Sara was wearing clothes, and he felt uncomfortable interfering with a girl's clothing. However, he had no other choice.
So, Doctor Kevin closed his eyes and carefully removed Sara's clothes, then slowly began taking out the glass pieces from her back.
There were many small glass pieces in her body. It was very difficult, but Kevin handled everything carefully. As a doctor, he prioritized saving her life.
Finally, all the glass pieces were removed, and Sara was out of danger. He applied medicine and bandages.
Her clothes were damaged and covered with glass, and she didn't have any extra clothes. Kevin didn't know what to do, so he brought one of his own shirts.
Again, closing his eyes, he gently helped Sara wear the shirt.
After some time, Sara began to regain consciousness. Even then, she kept murmuring only one thing:
"Eva… don't go there… move away…"
Kevin went to her, wiped the sweat from her forehead, placed his hand on her head, and said, "Hey beautiful, Eva is completely fine. Nothing happened to her."
Slowly, Sara regained full consciousness. She suddenly sat up and said, "Doctor Kevin, where is Eva? That vase was about to fall on her!"
Kevin gently held her face in his hands, looked into her eyes, and said, "Hey beautiful, relax. Eva is absolutely safe. She's perfectly fine."
He continued, "And do you know because of whom she is safe today? Because of you."
Kevin folded his hands in front of Sara with deep respect and said, "Hey beautiful, I don't know how to thank you. I can't express how big a favor you've done for me. Today, you risked your life to save my daughter—my heart, my life. If anything had happened to her, I would have never been able to forgive myself."
As he spoke, tears filled his eyes.
Sara said softly, "No, Doctor Kevin, it's nothing like that. I didn't do you any favor. I just did what I could as a human being."
After a while, Sara noticed that she was wearing Kevin's shirt, and her own clothes were kept aside. She became nervous, blushed deeply, lowered her gaze, and her heart started beating fast.
She hesitantly said, "Doctor Kevin… how did this happen? Did you remove my clothes and…?"
Kevin quickly said, "Hey beautiful, please don't misunderstand me. I had to do it because there were glass pieces stuck in your back. If I hadn't done that, you wouldn't have survived. But trust me, I didn't look at your body even once."
Sara looked at him and said, "Doctor, please… you don't need to explain anything. I trust you completely. I know you can never do anything wrong. I just got a little nervous seeing myself like that, that's all."
Kevin looked at her with respect and said, "Thank you for trusting me."
Sara smiled and said, "If a friend doesn't understand another friend, then what's the point of that friendship?"
