SPLASH SPLASH CRACKLE BOOM
"Fuck this rain." that was I could mutter , the rain was pouring , thunder was ringing every where , I've always hated thunderstorms , they reminded me of when my parents divorced.
My elder brother followed my mother while I followed my dad. It was harsh , not because I lacked money , no my grandparents were rich—Just stingy. Always calculating yet always putting up a front. I hate it.
I hate those masks people put on. Thus I changed , adapted , blunt , harsh , but also honest. Obviously not everybody gets along with me but it's fine , I don't need to be friends with everybody , I just need to live.
These guys. We've known each other since Primary school , yet we never really get along. Reynold Ray and Robert were a part of a large friend group , Francis was a car enthusiast , and Kiana? Well he was a weeb and a nerd.
I hated people like Kiana and Ray , smart, intelligent , as if they gave no effort , capable of doing everything flawlessly , like it was so easy , look at people like us , the people who suffer , the people who can't understand shit in a single look.
Well that was what I thought at the time—As time grew it was quite obvious how they've placed their own hard work , the ultra smart mask was just a show which I hated. But eh that was in the past , after all
"…Sorry" Kiana said his sharp eyes looked dark as he curled himself into a ball , he was blaming himself for the rain , it was supposed to be a fun time yet the rain ruined everything , the firewood was wet, it was cold but at least the Caiman meat was finished.
"Nah it ain't your fucking fault I jinxed it." To be a man is to admit one's mistake , even if it is small or even unlikely like me hoping it would rain , coincidence? Perhaps who knows ah whatever.
"Eh whatever let's just enjoy the remaining day kay?" Kiana said , no longer looking down , well at the surface at least , it was obvious he still blames himself , yet his masks are thick , almost impossible to crack—For most people at least.
"Stop fucking lying man , look dude it ain't your fault that it rained it was inevitable , now stop fucking crying and—" Ah wait I'm having a dilemma , by technicality both Kiana and Reynold are now biologically girls?

"Anyhow , how about we talk about stories while we wait for the rain to stop ?" Francis suggested a change of mood Nice safe Besto Friendo.
"Alright I guess I'll start" Ray Grisha continued , it was obvious they were trying to move on the topic , but eh whatever , that's how the dynamics work in a boy's friend group.
"You know when Herta's Society first appeared I was already worried that I might lose my job and then Poof I actually fucking did , those Geniuses just took the job of us common people like it was nothing , like mother fucker what?"
"BRO I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN , I was a data science engineer and then suddenly I was fucking useless , well I was also 'changed' but eh minor details" Reynold continued describing his situation

"Dude I swear if this shit gets livestreamed we're so cooked" Kiana replied , no longer looking as down as he was as he gave a faint chuckle

"Damn." the other 5 muttered , I won't elaborate what I've said but basically yeah lol , anyhow anywho I guess it's now—
"Hm? I guess my turn then" Francis continued , it was now his time to share his thoughts on some things.
"Y'know I really felt left behind… during that time. It was first Kiana followed by Reynold and Robert and finally Ray…"
I felt annoyed , yes they have turned to powerful 'Remnants' heck one of em is even a Pillar thus with my bluntness and full throttle I answered like how I'd always do
"Bruh think of the fucking advantages we got because of that , the connection potential would go crazy" I continued , others might find me cruel or blunt , yet these guys know me far too well , I wasn't one soft with words.
"Also do I look like a superpowered Remnant to your ass? I'm just an ordinary human too." Again with the bluntness , perhaps that was what Francis thought of as he looked at me as his eyes slightly pissed.
"Well I guess it's my turn" Kiana muttered with a slight sigh.
"Well I was the very first… I think? I was actually gone since Covid ended everything after that was done by the avatar well now Sister I guess , at the time I could still relate for he was me before everything."
"But when 'The Change' hit even my avatar turning it into a vampire , I didn't really care at first , I was too tired to think of doing anything , yet as time moved , so did my family as they grew even larger than ever."
"For everyone it was a few years—For me? I don't even know , I wasn't that great at controlling Finality after all , at the beginning I could only dilate time , not stop it , I think people might say I've had it worst But—"

"The same could be said with suffering , everybody's 'worst' experience is after all the worst experience they've currently have , while many might disagree the reality is no matter how understanding you are there are things that won't make sense unless you experience it first hand" A long ass monologue as usual , but he seems fine again.
"Well unless you're the Omniscient Ray Grisha of course" Ray tried to make it look like he was the best but was instantly counter attacked by Kiana.
"The original Adam's plan literally got cooked by Klein when he was still a sequence 3 , ah wait that doesn't make sense huh—Uhm A God's plan was disrupted by an elephant would be the best analogy"
"Really? You should've let me feel prideful for a bit" he replied as he elbowed Kiana slightly , like friendly banters between brothers by bond.
"Still though…" Francis seemingly unsure whether or not he should ask this question
"Yeah?" Reynold answered waiting for Francis's next question
"If time reversed , and you knew what would happen in the future , would you still do it?"

The thunderstorm was getting worse as more and more lightning strikes were occurring , at the same time , the answer they gave was… Truly in character of each and their own with their own reasons

"Oh you're finally back? " Alena's said in a calm manner as she looked at her daughter and her old friends.
"Did you guys have fun?" Aldric asked , his stoic voice and tone radiating an invisible amount of pressure making the boys well no longer just boys feel compelled to tell the truth.
"It was a unique experience." Ray answered , his eyes at this moment didn't look limpid as it looked like that of an ordinary human.
GROWLLLL "I'm so hungry…" Reynold replied as she touched her deflated stomach—Well to be exact her six pack , her tail was also drooping to the floor as if it had no energy to lift itself up
"Oh we have food at home alright~ Come on dig in~" Kim Siora's voice echoed from the kitchen , it seems like whatever they were preparing was going to be a feast
"YEAH FOOOD" Joseph as usual felt excited eating some actual authentic 'food' in this day and age it's difficult to actually find one made without technology after all.
"Thank you for having us auntie" Robert said while giving a respectful bow
"Oh don't mention it~ Come one let's eat" Alena while touching her cheeks before using her hand to push these peeps to the dining hall where—
"Francis?" Aurelion's voice asked filled with curiosity , as Francis looked at the guy
"Aurelion? You're here too?" Francis filled with shock asked as he couldn't believe his eyes
"It's been a while you guys," Gaby said calmly before she continued chewing some tasty braised pork , Nicole only looked at them before giving a slight nod acknowledging them.
"Frieren and Si-Hyun are still asleep" Gaby replied , satisfying the curiosity of Francis as everyone took their seat , Mahiru seemed to look at Kiana with a slight blush which Kiana obviously caught thus asked
"Mhm~? What is it?"
"Klein said you guys were Uhm…" Mahiru who wanted to say the last part seemed to feel a little shy as if it was something she shouldn't be saying…

"KLEINNNNNNNN WHAT DID YOU TELL THEMMMM" Kiana's voice filled with anger as she stormed trying to find Klein but even the Pillar of Conclusion would find it difficult to find the Pillar of Deviation.
"This is quite interesting" Violet said as she looked at Kiana trying to End Klein while Klein himself was trying his best to hold on by using Fool , Error and Door at the same time to delay Kiana's inevitable rage.
"I know right~" Elysia or Cyrene whichever you call her said with a romantic filled tone , it was quite funny seeing the once stone like Pillar of Conclusion show a lot of emotions after all.
Nod Nod , Gray Reaper , Arrodes and Shiraori and Ddraig nodded at the same time , it was quite funny seeing them synchronizing.
"Baka Kiana… you're gonna get Mo—" Bronya said with an exasperated sigh but before she could even finish.
"K I A N A… K L E I N… W H A T D I D I T E L L Y O U W H E N I T S D I N N E R T I M E— ? ? ?" Alena's haunting voice echoed as both Kiana and Klein who were still fighting instantly stopped , as if frozen in place
GULP an imaginary gulp could be heard coming from both Klein and Kiana , as Klein tried to escape—Kiana held his hand tightly to her chest before smirking and saying

"Haha…" Kanade and Mahiru gave out a small laugh as Amane and Gavin pretended they didn't see a single thing as the muttering of the most fearsome words Alena could ever say…

"Some things will never change~" Violet as usual was sipping some tea where one could see Ezron who for some reason was giving out cold sweats , was it out of fear? Or maybe the realization that if he got caught… He'd be dead.
