The cold Gotham wind whipped across the rooftop of one of the city's tallest skyscrapers.

A sixteen-year-old Yuta Okkotsu sat at the very edge, legs dangling hundreds of meters above the chaotic streets below.

Neon lights reflected off puddles and glass windows, while distant sirens and car horns created the city's endless, restless symphony.

He stared down at the sprawling chaos in silence, his black hair swaying gently in the breeze. This wasn't his first night in Gotham.

He had come here hoping to meet the Batman the legendary shadow of justice and vengeance. But once again, the Dark Knight had not appeared.

A pair of soft, warm arms suddenly slid around his neck from behind, pulling him into a gentle yet possessive embrace.

"You're brooding again" a smooth, teasing voice purred right next to his ear. "It really doesn't suit you, Yuta."

It was Rika...

She looked completely human now strikingly beautiful, with long dark brown hair cascading down her back and a well developed, curvaceous body that pressed confidently against him.

Thanks to multiple carefully crafted binding vows Yuta had made over the years, she had regained a mostly human form and mind. However, the vows came with strict limitations: she could not stray more than 500 meters from him, and she was unable to use her full cursed power while in this body.

None of that stopped her from being incredibly affectionate.

Rika tightened her arms around his neck and rested her chin on his shoulder, her chest molding against his back as she hugged him tighter, clearly enjoying the way his shoulders tensed.

"You've been sitting here for hours. Are you waiting for that bat guy again?" She giggled softly, her breath warm against his skin. "Or are you just pretending to look cool?"

Yuta's face instantly flushed. Even after all this time, he still couldn't get used to how bold she had become. "Rika…" he muttered, trying to sound composed and cool like Gojo had drilled into him. "Can you not—"

"Not what?" Rika interrupted playfully, nuzzling her cheek against his. "Not show my boyfriend how much I love him?"

She leaned in closer, her voice dropping into a sultry whisper. "You're so cute when you get shy. It makes me want to tease you even more."

Yuta coughed awkwardly, his attempt at maintaining a Gojo-like cool demeanor crumbling in private. "You're impossible…"

Before he could say anything else, his phone vibrated in his pocket.

He pulled it out only to see Tsumiki's name on the screen causing him to answer immediately. "Hey, Tsumiki."

"Yuta! Breakfast is ready," her kind voice came through, warm and welcoming as always. "I made your favorite grilled fish. Come home soon, okay? Everyone's waiting."

A small, genuine smile appeared on Yuta's face. "Yeah… I'll be there in a minute. Thanks."

After exchanging a few more soft words with Tsumiki, he hung up. Rika who was still clinging to him pouted dramatically, . "Already? We barely had any time together tonight."

Yuta gently disentangled himself from her arms and stood up. "We'll have time later. I promise."

He reached for the hilt of Yamato at his side the space-cutting blade he had traced years ago and slashed the air in front of him with a clean, practiced motion.

A glowing rift opened instantly. Without hesitation, he stepped through, Rika following right behind him with a satisfied smile on her lips.

They emerged directly into the familiar kitchen of the Fushiguro household. The delicious aroma of freshly cooked rice, miso soup, and grilled fish filled the air.

The Megumi 15 years old, was already seated at the table with his chopsticks already in hand. He glanced up with his usual deadpan expression as Yuta and Rika appeared.

"Why did you use your sword again?" Megumi asked flatly. "You can just open a normal portal like everyone else."

Yuta shrugged casually . "It's cooler this way."

Before Megumi could reply, a familiar loud voice boomed from the entrance.

"That's my boy!"

Gojo Satoru strolled in with his signature swagger, blindfold firmly in place and a wide grin splitting his face. He plopped down at the table without waiting for an invitation and immediately reached for the food.

Tsumiki, now 18 and still the gentle heart of the household, sighed fondly as she brought more dishes over. "Welcome back, Yuta. How was Gotham?"

"Same as always," Yuta replied, taking his seat. "Chaotic nights like any other. I went looking for Batman again, but he didn't show up."

The conversation flowed naturally during breakfast. When Tsumiki asked about his recent missions under the new international sorcerer system, Yuta answered casually between bites.

"They've been pretty easy lately. The system mostly hands out boring jobs such as delivery or protection, but the pay is really good especially from the top clients. International work has its perks."

Megumi frowned, still chewing. "I still don't understand why Japan's government decided to reveal sorcerers to the public. And why allow other countries or random organizations to hire us? It feels way too reckless."

Yuta shrugged uncaringly . "It's being used as a war deterrent. The world situation is unstable right now. Having publicly known, high-level sorcerers such as gojo makes other nations and groups think twice before starting anything serious."

Tsumiki finished eating and stood up to clear the dishes. Yuta immediately moved to help her. As they worked side by side at the sink, she gave him a worried look.

"Just… don't do anything too risky out there, okay?" she said softly. "I know you're strong now, but I still worry about you."

Yuta smiled gently and brushed off her concern. "I'll be fine, Tsumiki. Really. Don't worry so much."

After helping with the dishes, Yuta and Gojo left the apartment together and headed toward Tokyo Jujutsu High for Yuta's official first day as an undercover student.

Rika walked beside him the entire way, occasionally leaning against his shoulder or brushing her fingers against his hand, completely unbothered by Gojo's occasional teasing grins.

They finally arrived at the familiar grounds of Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Yuta stood in front of the classroom door, hand hovering over the handle. Rika gave him one last playful squeeze around the waist, whispering teasingly in his ear, "Good luck, my cool boyfriend~" before stepping back slightly to his shadow.

Gojo patted his shoulder encouragingly. "Ready for your big debut? Even if you studied abroad in America you should learn more about your Kōhai"

Yuta took a steadying breath completely ignoring, then pushed the door open.

Inside the classroom stood three students waiting for him:

Inumaki Toge, wearing his signature high collar along with Panda who was waving cheerfully with a big stupid grin.

And Maki Zenin's legs crossed in frustration, staring at the newcomer with her sharp appraising eyes.

Yuta stepped inside with full confidence, this time he wasn't going to be attacked for being cursed.
