"Lewis, you were chasing the Golden Snitch way faster than Cho Chang—just because she's pretty?!"
Terry Boot chimed in from the side.
"Yeah, Cho's pretty—but how does she compare to Ciri?"
Lewis crossed his arms and asked casually.
"Well obviously Ciri's better," Terry replied without hesitation. "In terms of looks, there's probably no one in Ravenclaw who can beat her."
"Exactly," Lewis said calmly. "So think about it—what position am I, and what position is she?"
"You're both Chasers… oh—I get it!"
Terry's eyes widened in realization.
"Close proximity advantage—classic! Lewis, you're a genius!"
Anthony slapped him heavily on the shoulder.
"Top grades, top Quidditch skills, and even your dating strategy is top-tier. Being your roommate is seriously stressful."
Steve added dramatically.
Lewis shook his head, unwilling to engage with their nonsense.
Still—
after two months of training, his flying and Quidditch skills had improved significantly.
His coordination with Ciri had become flawless.
Anyone who watched them train believed one thing—
Ravenclaw was winning the Quidditch Cup this year.
And during that time—
his relationship with Ciri had grown much closer.
At this rate…
it wouldn't be long before they could truly trust each other.
Suddenly, Lewis seemed to recall something.
"By the way… tomorrow's Halloween, right?"
Steve nodded.
"Yeah. Tonight's Halloween Eve. I heard the feast is going to be huge."
Terry leaned in excitedly.
"I've got 'reliable' info—Dumbledore invited a famous skeleton dance troupe this year!"
"Halloween…"
Lewis nodded thoughtfully.
In the wizarding world—
Halloween wasn't just a holiday.
It was a plot trigger.
Every year—
something happened.
And this year…
Would the troll appear, just like in the original story?
Lewis felt a hint of excitement.
He had never seen a troll before.
Massive.
High magic resistance.
Immense strength.
Terrible intelligence.
Spells barely worked on them.
They were dangerous—
but also…
interesting.
And Lewis had already prepared.
If direct magic was ineffective—
then indirect damage might work.
Elemental magic.
Using magic to generate elements—
and letting the elements deal the damage.
Simple idea.
But in this world—
underdeveloped.
Aside from basic spells like Fire-Making Charm (Incendio) and freezing charms—
there was little progress.
Even Fiendfyre relied on dark magic properties rather than pure elemental control.
Fortunately—
two months ago, Flitwick had taught Incendio.
Lewis quickly expanded it into Burning Hands—
and from there—
began developing elemental spells.
Now, he had real results.
Using Burning Hands as a base—
and studying Protego and Expelliarmus for structure—
he created:
2nd Circle: Scorching Ray
3rd Circle: Fireball
Then, using freezing magic as a base:
0 Circle: Ray of Frost
1st Circle: Ice Arrow
2nd Circle: Frost Armor
3rd Circle: Frost Nova
During this process—
he awakened a new specialization.

Over the past two months—
his Strength, Constitution, and Dexterity had each increased by 1.
Still below the human average of 10—
but already above most peers.
His conclusion:
His body was still growing.
Repeated use of enhancement spells had accelerated adaptation—
causing early development.
But this growth had limits.
It would only reach his natural adult potential—
no further.
To surpass that—
he would need permanent enhancement potions.
Meanwhile—
his Intelligence increased by 2.
That came from reaching Wizard Level 4.
Before reaching Legendary Level 20—
every 4 levels grants +2 to key attributes.
Through observation, Lewis concluded:
There were two ways to increase Wizard level.
First: Natural growth with age.
Unlike traditional arcane casters—
wizards in this world were a hybrid.
Like sorcerers:
Their magic came from bloodline. No preparation needed.
Like wizards:
They could learn spells through study.
A perfect fusion.
If casters from other worlds saw this—
they'd be insanely jealous.
Because of this—
wizards naturally grew stronger over time.
Most first-years were Level 1 Wizards.
But after entering Hogwarts—
progress depended entirely on aptitude and effort.
Some reached Level 3 by second year.
Others remained stuck at Level 3 even in fifth year.
Exams were a better benchmark than year level:
O.W.L. (5th Year):
Minimum Level 4 to pass
Top students reach Level 6
N.E.W.T. (7th Year):
Minimum Level 5
Top scorers (7–8 Outstanding grades) reach Level 8
Of course—
these didn't apply to anomalies.
Harry, Ron, Hermione—
their combat ability exceeded their grades.
Snape and Voldemort—
were monsters.
One opened the Chamber and created Horcruxes at 15.
The other invented spells at the same age.
Aurors: roughly Level 11–15
Professors varied:
Trelawney, Madam Hooch—below Level 10
McGonagall, Flitwick, Snape—well above Level 15
As for Dumbledore—
no doubt.
Level 20. Legendary.
Lewis estimated—
in the current magical world—
excluding the mysterious East—
only three had reached that level:
Dumbledore.
Grindelwald.
And Voldemort.
