Chapter 7 - A Heart's Confession

Chapter Seven.

With the gale of courage at my back, I crossed the threshold of Noah's room, determined to see what was going on

After several persistent knocks, the door finally swung open.

"What is going on here?" I demanded, my voice wavering slightly as I took in the sight of Noah in a boxer and singlet while the so-called secretary was wrapped in his towel. My indignation masked the shock that reverberated through my mind.

"I thought this is a business discussion but now I know this is a bedroom discussion"

Noah was speechless, after so many minutes, the secretary broke the silence, "Mr. Noah, I thought she's your brother's fiance, what's she doing here?"

Swallowing hard, I turned your attention back to Noah. "I am going to dinner room now and I expect to see you in less than a minute"

I was leaving, when the secretary left the bed she was sitting on to drag me back. "You can just command anyone you feel like because you are a model. Do you know who you are talking to? A CEO and your brother-in-law"

"Miss secretary of the inner room, I didn't talk to you" I left the room angrily but I could hear them talking.

"What's she doing here Mr. Noah?"

"I am not sure you want to know the reason, I want to go and eat in the dining room talk to you later"

"No…. You can't tell me that, are you leaving me because she said you should?"

"No, I am hungry and I need to eat"

"I understand, but before she arrived you weren't hungry"

As I reached the dining room, my mind was still reeling from the encounter. I am waiting patiently for Noah to arrive.

Finally, Noah entered, looking disheveled but determined. He took a seat at the table, his face a mask of strained calm."Do you want to explain what just happened?" I asked sharply, trying to keep my voice steady.

Noah sighed, rubbing his temples. "It's not what it looks like.""Then what is it?" you pressed.Noah hesitated before speaking. "The secretary is here because she was helping me with some personal matters, but that's all it was. I can see how it looked, and I'm sorry. I should have been more transparent."

I took a deep breath, trying to process his words. "And I met you two half n*ked?" I paused and continued, "Transparency would have been nice, considering the situation."

"I know," Noah admitted. "And I understand why you're upset. It's just… things are complicated right now, and I didn't want to add to the confusion."

"Well, who am I to tell you who to have a close relationship with? We are just in a contract marriage after all"

"Contract marriage? Do not lie to me, you love me already"

"Love? How can I love my ex-fiancé brother? It's not possible but I just think you should respect me, I am inside and you are bringing in a lady, even if we are in a contract marriage, it doesn't mean you should do whatever you want. You have given me your rules, I think I should set some terms too"

"Well, do you know you look pretty unattractive when you are upset?"

"Ugly? C'mon" we both laughed.

I could see the secretary coming behind him.

"So, what are your plans for the weekend? Maybe we should hang out."

"Hanging out? Only lovers hang out. Are you suggesting you're falling for me?" I said, aware that the secretary was listening.

"Let me be honest with you, Rachel. I love you. Even before you and my brother started dating. This contract marriage is a chance for me to be with the person I love, and I don't want our relationship to end after this period."

I stared at Noah, my mind racing to process his confession. "You can't be serious. We're in the middle of a contract marriage. This isn't supposed to be real."

"No, it's real," Noah insisted. "I've tried to keep my feelings in check, but they've only grown stronger. I want to make this work, beyond the contract. I want us to be more than just a business arrangement."

I felt a pang of confusion and uncertainty. "And what about the contract? What about everything we agreed upon? Remember your brother right? He's my ex-fiancé"

"Nothing, what matters is you I don't care about anyone"

The secretary moved forward, "I see, what type of people are you two? A contract marriage between you two, is this normal"

"Miss secretary of the inner room, Is this your work as a secretary? Anyways it's time to leave someone's house to go for yours"

'At Least I am not married, he's not married"

"I am not married neither"

"Heeey!" Noah dashed is hand on the table to shut us up, "Miss Amelia, you can go to your house now, we will see tomorrow at office"

"Really? I should leave for her" She asked, "No problem, thank you very much Miss Rachel"

"You are welcome, thank you" I replied

I watched her leave the house with a smile on my face.

He walked over to whereI was sitting, his expression softening as he sat down beside me. There was a moment of silence, both of us processing everything that had just happened."Rachel," Noah began gently, turning to face her, "I loved you before my brother did but he was fast enough to ask you out before me, what could I do? Nothing, I love you Rachel and I'll forever do"

I looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity in his gaze. "Noah, I didn't expect any of this when we agreed to this arrangement. But somehow, things have changed. I can't deny that."

Noah reached out and took my hand in his, his thumb gently caressing my skin. "I never expected to fall for you the way I have," he admitted. "But I can't stop thinking about you, Rachel. I want us to be more than just a contract, more than just an arrangement."

He made me stand from the dining table I was sitting on, he wrapped his hand around my waist, and he gently pushed me to his room.

He kissed me passionately, rubbed my bre*st and finally we had a hot s*x
