Cherreads

Chapter 4 - new spider creation

The room was sealed. Concrete walls. No windows. One door.

Wade Wilson stood by the IV stand, checking the bags. His red suit was spotless. Katanas on his back.

"Boss, are you absolutely sure about this?" Wade asked.

Bruce was removing his suit jacket. Shirt came off. 6'8", muscular, perfect condition from years of training.

"I'm sure," Bruce said.

"Because once that spider bites you, we can't undo it."

"I know."

Bruce sat on the medical table. Wade positioned the IV needle on his left arm. Right wrist was exposed. Clean. Ready.

Bruce pulled out the small container.

Inside, the golden spider moved. Tiny. Perfect. Alive.

"Your job is simple," Bruce said. "You connect the IV. You watch my vitals. Don't let this thing escape."

Wade nodded and walked behind bruce..

Bruce opened the container.

The golden spider crawled onto his wrist immediately. It moved with purpose.

It found the vein.

It bit.

Pain.

Electric. Burning. Like his entire arm was on fire.

Bruce gasped. His body fall on the table.

"Needle's in," Wade said, moving fast. The IV drip started flowing.

Bruce's vision blurred. The pain spread up his shoulder. Down his spine. Everywhere at once.

" Ahhhh' bruce screamed.

"What's happening?" Wade asked, checking the monitors.

Bruce tried to speak. Nothing came out. His teeth clenched. His back arched.

The golden spider was still on his wrist, venom still flowing.

"Ahhh," Bruce screamed again.

" boss. What's happening—"

His entire body went rigid. Every muscle contracted at once. His fingers curled into fists.

Then everything went dark.

Wade checked the monitors. Heart rate: 185. Blood pressure: 300 over 400. Temperature: 180 degrees.

Bruce was unconscious.

Wade switched to the second IV bag. Then the third.

Six hours passed.

Wade called Selina. "He's still out. Not moving. Just... breathing."

"What did you let him do?" Selina asked.

"What he asked me to do."

Twelve hours passed.

Wade sat in a chair, watching Bruce's chest rise and fall. The IV bags were empty. Fluids replaced seven times.

The spider bite mark on Bruce's wrist was making veins vibration again and again, red black veins started to appear all over body..

Twenty-four hours passed.

Wade was still there. He didn't leave. He just watched.

Bruce's body was twitching occasionally. His hands flexing. His eyes moving underneath closed lids.

The golden glow red spots appeared on his body got brighter.

---

As his skin turn normal, Bruce's eyes opened.

The blue pupils were different. The iris was reflecting light like a mirror.

"Where... am I?" Bruce's voice was hoarse.

"Medical room. You've been out for a day," Wade said, standing up. "How do you feel?"

Bruce tried to sit up. His body didn't respond right. It was too heavy. Or maybe it was too light. He couldn't tell.

"Everything hurts," Bruce said.

"Yeah, that's probably the spider venom."

Bruce finally sat up. His hands were shaking. He looked at his right wrist. The bite mark was still there.

"How long was I out?"

"Twenty-four hours. Solid."

"Okay." Bruce swung his legs off the table. "Help me stand."

Wade grabbed his arm. Bruce put weight on his feet and immediately collapsed.

"Whoa, boss—"

"I'm fine. Just... dizzy."

They tried again. This time, Bruce got upright. His balance was off. He felt like he was spinning even though he wasn't moving.

"The world is too loud," Bruce said suddenly.

"What?"

"There's a hum. In the walls. In everything." Bruce pressed his hands to his temples. "It's not stopping."

---

Bruce walked toward the mirror. Wade stayed close in case he fell.

His reflection stared back at him.

His body looked normal. But something was moving under his skin. Small movements. Like something was crawling inside him.

"I feel weird," Bruce said.

"Define weird."

"Like... like my body is fighting itself."

Bruce raised his right hand. He looked at his wrist.

Something happened.

Golden webbing shot out from his palm. Thin. Sharp. It hit the wall and stuck.

"Holy—" Wade jumped back.

The web pulled back into Bruce's wrist automatically. Then shot out again. Uncontrolled. Hitting the ceiling. The floor. The walls.

"Stop it!" Bruce shouted at his own hand.

The web wouldn't stop.

Wade grabbed a metal tray and held it up as a shield. Webbing stuck to it repeatedly.

"Boss, focus!"

"I am focusing!" Bruce shook his hand violently. The webbing kept firing. "My hand won't listen to me!"

Then it stopped. The web retracted completely.

Bruce was breathing hard. Sweat on his forehead.

"What the hell was that?" Wade asked.

"I don't know," Bruce said. "I don't have control yet."

---

Bruce walked to the corner of the room. He tried to sit down. His legs gave out halfway and he collapsed hard against the wall.

"Ow. Okay. Sitting hurts."

Wade stayed quiet.

Bruce closed his eyes. "Everything is too much. I can hear... I can hear outside. Traffic. People talking. How far away is the street?"

"Three blocks."

"I can hear them. Car horns. Police sirens somewhere. How is that possible?"

His eyes opened again. They were clearer now. Less wrong. More like himself.

"Hungry, My body feels heavy. But also light. Like gravity isn't working right."

Wade watched him carefully. "You want to rest more?"

"No." Bruce tried to stand again. This time, he made it. But his balance was wrong. He stepped forward and nearly fell. Wade caught him.

"Easy. Take it slow."

Bruce took three steps. Each one felt different. His muscles weren't responding the way they should. They were responding too much. Overcompensating.

He reached for the wall to steady himself. His hand stuck to it.

"What—" Bruce pulled his hand away hard. The adhesion broke, but it felt wrong. Like part of his hand was still attached.

"It's the spider venom," bruce said. "My body's still changing.

"It's been a day." Deadpool replied

"Yeah. And I got bit by the most mutated spider in that container." Bruce paused. "The one that ate fourteen other spiders."

Bruce looked at his body, he can feel the abilities he awaken may be more and more.

---

Wade's phone buzzed. A message from Selina: *"Check the news."*

Wade turned on the small TV in the corner.

News anchor was talking about sightings in Metropolis. Superman was flying over the city. Fast. Urgent. Something had happened.

"There are reports of a massive explosion at a warehouse district near—" the anchor stopped. "We're getting reports that Superman has contained the situation. No civilian casualties reported."

Wade glanced at Bruce. "world is gettng weird and weird ."

Bruce was staring at his hand again. The webbing was forming again. Small strands. Controlled this time. Barely.

The news switched to Gotham. A brief report about missing persons. Gang activity in Crime Alley.

Bruce didn't react. Just watched.

An hour later, Bruce was pacing. His balance was better. Still not perfect, but better.

Then it happened again.

His body went rigid.

"What's wrong?" Wade asked.

"Something's... moving," Bruce said quietly. "Inside. I feel like... there's multiple things moving inside my body."

Bruce walked to the wall. He pressed his hand against it. The adhesion worked. He climbed. Halfway up, his body spasmed and he lost grip. He dropped three feet and landed hard on his feet.

No pain. But the fall should have hurt.

"Why didn't that hurt?" Bruce said.

Bruce looked at his hands. The wrist make disappear and small size of hole on both wrist he can see the marks were brighter. Both wrists now. Not just the bite mark.

"Wade, I think something's wrong."

"What do you mean?"

"The transformation isn't finished. I can feel it. My body is still changing." Bruce looked at Wade directly. "And I don't think it's going to stop."
