The Master Builder
The large hall of the Craftsman Guild buzzed with noise and energy.
Hammers struck glowing metal.
Wood saws carved through thick enchanted timber.
Runes sparkled softly as craftsmen worked on magical tools and weapons.
The smell of hot iron, fresh wood, and faint magic filled the air.
Lucas stood in the center of the hall with his livestream camera floating beside him. Dozens of craftsmen had stopped working and were staring curiously at the young noble who had just walked in and demanded a master builder.
Then a deep voice echoed across the hall.
"What do you want to build, boy?"
Lucas turned toward the voice.
Standing there was a dwarf.
He was shorter than most humans but incredibly broad. His shoulders were like stone blocks and his arms looked strong enough to bend iron bars. A massive fiery-red beard reached down to his chest, braided neatly with small golden rings engraved with runes. His thick eyebrows looked like angry caterpillars, and his bright eyes glowed with sharp intelligence.
The dwarf rested a heavy hammer on his shoulder.
The livestream chat instantly exploded.

Lucas blinked for a moment, then smiled politely.
"Yes… actually I came to build something."
The dwarf crossed his arms.
"Well then stop staring and show me."
Lucas quickly pulled out the design scroll he had selected earlier and unfolded it.
"I want to build a restaurant."
The dwarf grabbed the design and looked down at it carefully.
The entire livestream waited.
Seconds passed.
Then the dwarf slowly raised one eyebrow.
Then the other.
Then he looked at the design again.
Then at Lucas.
Then again at the design.
Finally he let out a deep rumbling laugh.
"Well now…"
"This is something new."
He tapped the parchment with one thick finger.
"In all my years of building halls, taverns, and merchant houses…"
"I have never seen a design like this in my whole life."
The livestream chat went crazy again.

The dwarf rolled the parchment up carefully.
"I will do it, Young Master Lucas."
His voice carried pride now.
"This will be the finest building I have ever crafted."
Lucas grinned happily.
"That's exactly what I want."
The dwarf nodded.
"My name is Borin Ironbeard."
"And when Borin builds something…"
He thumped his chest proudly.
"It lasts a hundred years."
Lucas gave him a respectful nod.
"I'll leave it to you then."

A little later Lucas walked out of the guild hall.
Behind him the sound of construction planning had already started.
Borin was shouting orders.
"Bring the enchanted oak timber!"
"We'll need stone from the north quarry!"
"And someone call the rune carvers!"
Lucas smiled.
"Well chat… looks like the building is in good hands."
The chat was still buzzing.

A little later Lucas returned to his room inside the Valerian mansion.
Sunlight poured through the window and the soft breeze moved the curtains gently.
Lucas sat down in his chair and faced the floating camera.
"Well everyone…"
He clapped his hands once.
"Now it's time to decide the most important thing."
"What dishes will our restaurant serve?"
The chat instantly exploded with ideas.

"That will definitely attract attention."
The chat agreed immediately.

The chefs turned when they saw him.

Lucas rolled up his sleeves.
"Today… I will cook."
The chefs froze.

"This… is delicious."
Lucas grinned.

He searched through the system market.
One result caught his eye.
A drinks company from another world.
Lucas leaned forward with excitement.
