Unnamed

Rafi woke up in a hospital bed with a pounding headache and a hollow feeling in his chest. The doctor told him he had been in a serious accident. He survived… but his memory didn't.

He could remember his name. Nothing else.

Every day, a woman came to visit him. She sat quietly beside his bed, sometimes smiling, sometimes holding back tears. Her name was Aisha.

One day, Rafi finally asked,

"Who are you to me?"

Aisha paused, her eyes soft but heavy with emotion.

"I'm… someone who loves you."

There was something about her that felt familiar, but he couldn't explain it. Still, he found comfort in her presence. She told him stories about his life—his favorite food, the songs he used to play, the way he laughed at his own jokes.

And slowly, without realizing it, Rafi started falling for her. Again.

Days turned into weeks. Their bond grew stronger, even without his memories. But one night, fragments of his past came rushing back—like broken pieces finally finding their place.

He remembered everything.

The love. The laughter. The promises.

And the fight.

Before the accident, they had argued badly. Harsh words were said. He had walked away in anger… and that was the last thing he remembered before everything went dark.

The next morning, Rafi looked at Aisha differently. This time, with recognition—and regret.

"I remember now,"

he said quietly.

Aisha's heart sank. She feared what would come next.

"I remember how much I hurt you,"

he continued. "But I also remember how much I love you… and somehow, I fell in love with you all over again—even without my memories."

Tears rolled down Aisha's cheeks.

Rafi reached for her hand.

"This time, I don't want to forget anything. Not you. Not us."

Aisha smiled through her tears and whispered,

"I never stopped loving you."

Sometimes, love doesn't need memories to survive. It just needs a heart willing to feel it again. 💙
