"...Master."
Jeremy heard someone speaking in his sleep.
"...wake up."
'Who's talking?'
Jeremy sleepily thought as he put his head under the pillow to drown the noise.
"Good morning, Young Master… it's time to wake up."
Jeremy heard a clear voice and felt his body being shaken.
The pillow was taken away from him.
And the sun rays from the open window shine down brightly at his face.
"Mhmm."
He moans as he slowly opens his eyes.
It took him a few seconds to adjust from the bright rays of sun before his vision finally was able to focus.
His brows then furrowed as he sat up from his bed.
'Who is this man?'
He thought as he looked at the person standing beside his bed.
The person is wearing a butler uniform and is holding a glass of milk.
"Who are you? Why are you inside my room?"
Jeremy warily asked the man in a butler uniform.
The man showed a genuine smile as he put down the glass of milk on the bedside table.
Then he answered in a doting tone.
"Young Master seems to not have fully woken up yet… I am Jude Evander, Young Master's butler."
Then, the butler named Jude bowed his head toward Jeremy and placed his right hand on his chest.
A very graceful posture of showing respect.
'Hm? Jude Evander?'
Jeremy paused as he felt this name was familiar.
He then remembered the book he read last night—The Trouble of the Nobilities.
Jude Evander was the loyal butler of Jeremiah de Thorne.
In the novel, this butler was described as a young man having an innocent and angelic face but he is not as harmless as he looks.
Jeremy stood up and scanned the bedroom he was in.
'Not the room I slept in last night.'
He thought and calmly walked toward the door of what he guessed was the bathroom.
"Young Master?"
Jude innocently called out to his young lord as he grabbed the glass of milk.
But feeling that it was not warm anymore, he put it back down to the table.
He thought that it was not good to make his Young Master drink something that is not warm early in the morning.
"I want to take a bath first."
Jeremy replied to the butler as he opened the bathroom door.
'Thank goodness, it is really the bathroom.'
He sighed internally as he stepped inside the bathroom.
He was about to close the door when Jude followed him in and said.
"Let me assist you, Young Master."
'Oh right, the novel mentioned that this butler always helps his Young Master in taking a bath.'
Jeremy thought as he let Jude fill the bathtub with water for him.
"It's ready, Young Master."
Jude said before positioning in front of Jeremy.
As he was about to unbutton Jeremy's nightwear, Jeremy spoke.
"I'll do it… wait outside for me."
Jude paused for a moment.
This is the first time that his Young Master stopped him from assisting him in bathing.
Moreover, he was told to wait outside.
"Did this servant do something that has offended you, Young Master?"
Jude carefully asked.
No matter how he thinks about it, he couldn't remember any actions he did that may anger his Young Master.
"You didn't."
Jeremy replied.
But Jude stood there for a while, innocently looking at him.
As if he wants to know the reason why he is being kicked out of the bathroom for the first time.
"Jude, wait for me outside."
Jeremy gently said as he turned his back against Jude.
He started unbuttoning his own shirt as he walked toward the bathtub.
"Yes, Young Master… I'll be waiting for you outside."
Jude replied as he dejectedly walked out of the bathroom and closed the door.
Jeremy entered the bathtub and sighed.
He looked at his surroundings and finally accepted that he was not in his original world.
The luxurious interior of this bathroom with real jewels decorated on every part of it…
And the intricate patterns that screams noble elegance…
They are all very different from the modern luxury he was accustomed to in his original world.
He touched the marble bathtub and his senses clearly kept feeling the warm water enveloping his body.
Everything felt so tangible and vivid.
He knows that he's not dreaming but he is still uncertain.
He pinched his right arm and upon feeling pain…
He gradually started believing.
Right now, he is not on Earth.
The names of places mentioned in the novel his friend made aren't on Earth.
'It seems that I have transmigrated as Jeremiah de Thorne after I fell asleep last night.'
'But how did it happen?'
He brushed his hair with his hand as another sigh came out of his mouth.
'Is there a way for me to go back to my world?'
Jeremy wondered what happened to his body…
And what chaos would occur if his family found out that he wasn't in his villa anymore?
But no matter how many questions pop out in his mind…
There isn't an answer right now.
Jeremy, knowing that no answer would come right now, started calming his mind.
'Well, I'll just live comfortably for now… as Jeremiah de Thorne of course.'
This would be simple to do for Jeremy.
Because after reading the whole book last night, he came to a certain conclusion.
His friend who wrote this book, made Jeremiah de Thorne using Jeremy as the model.
Jeremiah de Thorne and him are very similar in terms of intelligence, habits, personality, and beliefs.
It's like Jeremiah de Thorne is his carbon copy.
'I'll continue comfortably living a peaceful life for now…
And only time can tell if I'll be able to go back to my original world or not.'
He thought as he rinsed himself and got out of the tub.
He stood in front of the mirror and smiled upon seeing a very familiar sight.
Almond-shaped eyes with hazel brown irises…
Straight nose…
Honey brown hair that accentuates his small face…
And pink lips that matched well with his fair-colored skin.
'Exactly the same as my original appearance.'
He thought while he put on a bathrobe and turned away from the mirror.
He calmly walked toward the door and opened it.
There, he saw a pitiful puppy.
No, he saw the dejected butler Jude who still didn't know the reason why his Young Master kicked him out of the bathroom.
Jeremy then came to a realization.
Jeremiah de Thorne has always allowed Jude to accompany him when he bathes…
From start to finish, that is.
Having someone helping him in bathing was something Jeremy was used to…
But that is when he was still a child.
When he grew up, he knew how to handle everything on his own and didn't need much assistance despite having servants at home.
But in this world, even if you don't need assistance…
Having more servants tells people about your status.
So it is a tradition to every noble household that servants help their masters even in bathing.
Jude noticed as soon as he saw his Young Master coming out of the bathroom.
The Young Master, fresh from bathing, is oozing a very magnetic charm.
This is a sight that Jude won't let anyone see lest they have lustful thoughts against his Young Master.
'I must protect the Young Master at all costs.'
But that thought didn't last long as he remembered how his Young Master kicked him out of the bathroom just moments ago.
He felt depressed remembering that moment.
He then opened his mouth to speak.
"Y-young Master, you're done washing yourself."
"Yes."
Jeremy replied and looked at the prepared clothes laid on his bed.
He then looked at the butler who looked like he was unsure of what to do.
Jude doesn't know if he should help his Young Master put on his clothes.
Or if his Young Master would tell him to wait for him outside the bedroom this time.
The thought of his Young Master kicking him out of the bedroom made him want to cry.
'What if the Young Master doesn't need me anymore? Am I going to get fired for being useless?'
Jude tearfully thought.
Jeremy noticed every bit of expression on his butler's innocent face.
He can even see the imaginary ears of his butler drooping.
His gentle side can't help but soften.
"Jude, help me put on my clothes."
Jeremy said.
Immediately, Jude's face turned into a radiant smile.
"Yes, Young Master!"
'I can even see his imaginary tail wagging.'
Jeremy thought as he observed the now jolly butler helping him put on his clothes.
He spoke again to Jude.
"When I told you earlier to wait outside… it was because I just wanted to be alone for a while to clear my thoughts."
Jude carefully buttoned his Young Master's customized shirt as he listened to Jeremy.
"Oh, so that was the reason, Young Master."
Jude replied in relief as he looked at his Young Master's eyes and smiled sincerely.
He then added in a saddened tone.
"I thought you don't need me anymore, Young Master."
Jeremy was surprised to hear this statement.
He didn't know that this butler, who was described by the novel as a dangerous person…
Would be saddened by the thought of his Young Master not needing him anymore.
Jeremy can't help but pat his butler's head.
He then smiled as he spoke gently to his innocent-looking butler.
"Don't worry, that day when I don't need you will never come."
Then, he noticed his butler staring at him dazedly.
He called out.
"Hm, Jude?"
"Ah, yes Young Master?"
The butler absentmindedly muttered.
"The buttons."
Jeremy reminded.
Jude immediately snapped out from his daze and focused on buttoning Jeremy's shirt.
He then embarrassedly apologized.
"I apologize for my absentmindedness, Young Master."
"It's fine."
Jeremy responded as he was used to seeing dazed and absentminded people in his original world.
"By the way, tell me the date today."
Jeremy asked as this is important information for him.
"Young Master, today is the 13th day of the Third Month of the year 868 A.F."
Jude answered as he finished fixing his Young Master's clothes.
'Young Master is truly a dashing young man.'
He thought and went to the drawer to get a comb.
As Jeremy heard the date, he sighed in relief internally as the year indicated in the novel when the story plot would start is in the year 869 A.F.
Right now is the year 868 A.F.
That means...
He has more than half a year to enjoy a leisurely life.
