The conference room was already filled with board members and major shareholders.
Quiet conversations echoed throughout the room as everyone waited for the meeting to begin.
Seated among them was Gavin.
Unlike the others, he appeared completely relaxed. Leaning back in his chair, he calmly observed the room, listening as the executives exchanged their opinions about the scandal surrounding Xander and Ivy.
A faint smile slowly tugged at the corner of his lips.
Everything was unfolding exactly as he had anticipated.
"Mr. Gavin," one of the senior investors, Mr. Hayes, called as he leaned slightly closer. "Do you think President Xander will actually attend today's meeting?"
Gavin met his gaze before giving a composed smile.
"He'll come."
His answer was calm and confident.
"He knows avoiding the board would only create more speculation."
Mr. Hayes nodded in agreement.
"That's true."
