"This is getting far more interesting than I expected," Sal remarked as he helped Ivy adjust her costume before the next shot.
Since Lola had stepped out to discuss the storyboard with the creative director, the two finally had a chance to talk in private.
Ivy nodded.
"The more I look into it, the more convinced I am that both my father and Xander's father uncovered something."
She lowered her voice.
"And whatever that secret was... it gave someone a reason to eliminate them."
Sal nodded thoughtfully.
"I've been following every lead you gave me."
He handed her a bottle of water before continuing.
"I checked orphanage records in case Luna had been admitted under her real name. I also searched hospitals and emergency records from that period."
He shook his head.
"Nothing."
"No admissions."
"No matching identities."
"No trace of either Luna or your father."
A flicker of disappointment crossed Ivy's face.
